did you try it for a drawing program originally on the PC? Im wondering if photoshop's pen pressure feature would still work if you are drawing on the iPad with the apple pencil, or would the apple pencil act just like a mouse with no pressure sensitivity?

UPDATE: I also use my old Apple Pencil and it works great! No lag at all by using cable. To make it works, you have to install iTunes first in your Windows laptop.
Hi there Sam! Thanks to your helpful tutorial I managed to get my Ipad (air 5th generation) working as a second monitor for my Windows PC (Ideapad 3 14ALC6). Also I’ve tinkered with the settings to get higher resolution though I couldn’t do anything about the refreshing hertz, it was fixed to 30hz. Anyway I tried Blender, playing ‘Unpacking’ and it works fine with touch and apple pencil. Thank you so much and have a blessed day Sam :)

i am a photographer and having a problem with the calibration of my laptop monitor. I have no access for now to use another good monitor. This is really helpful for I can now use my ipad as secondary monitor. CHeers!
This works like a charm, thank you! The pen also works, and if you duplicate your screen, you can sort of use it as a graphic tablet. It's a tiny bit lagging behind, but still very usable!

I found a way to increase the refresh rate to 60: From the ipad app go to settings then Quality/performance, then you can find the FPS rate and you can customize the image quality/latency

Well got my iPad pro 11 setup as secondary display. I click the ipad screen and the PC mouse goes over to it and can't get it back to windows without disconnecting. Also does this support as an extension where mouse can be moved back and forth between windows PC and the ipad? Kinda useless if it doesn't.

Unfortunately it doesn't offer any advantages. Inputlag is as high as with wireless connection and it is impossible to overcome 30 fps.

Just installed it on my Ipad Gen 10. Yes you can operate the touch screen as you use the ipad as an extended display

try changing the display property to "extend these displays" instead of "duplicate these displays"

You can move your mouse back and forth between windows and iPad maybe it’s just your iPad
