38-14... Yes sir!! I'll take it!! 😁 I had us winning a close one at the end, but these young men took the opening kickoff down the field, kicked a field goal, and never looked back!!! Nicco comes in, throws a lazer beam for a TD, runs over a couple dudes for a first down or two, he looked great!! This was the way I have been wanting to see them play all yr!! That's how ya play football with a lead, keep running, keep scoring, and get outta town with the W! Defense looked fantastic compared to what have seen thus far!! Covering peeps, getting pressure, LOOKING FOR THE BALL IN THE AIR, AND INTERCEPTING THE BALL WHEN IT HITS THEIR HANDS!!! Great job all around!! It was a great day to be a Mountaineer wherever you may have been!! On to next week, fellas! LET'S GOOOOOO MOUNTAINEERS 👏 👏 🏈 🇺🇸 BEAT THE CYCLONES!!! 😁🏈🇺🇸
Hoppy Picking OK-State was what every body in America picked ... It was a tough pick to Pick WVU in Stillwater ... The bye week was huge for WVU in this one...
To add to Brad's point about new uniforms: My junior season in high school, we got new unis for the first time in two years. We were on the field with a team that was supposed to absolutely truck us. There was something special about that first time wearing those uniforms though. The smell, the feel, the lights on our field, our fans, the grass....everything seemed so vibrant and unordinary. That team that was supposed to beat us to bits ended up getting back on their bus having the knowledge that they just got hammered 40-12 by a team that only looked the part. There's something very special about brand new uniforms. I'm not saying that they'll make a big difference Saturday night but man, they'll feel amazing.
Did it seem like OK-State was a step slower during this game. The Bye week for us and they had no bye week was the difference in this game? Neal Brown got a good win, maybe his best win as a WVU coach. ( Maybe)
Hey guys I predicted this game perfectly my 3 keys to the game also score prediction 38 to 14 what a early birthday present to me Wow I'm so stoked. 1st key was turn them to a one horse pony. 2nd limit possessions. 3rd make the QB uncomfortable.
Firstly.... let me say THAT...... THAT is the caliber of play fans expected at the start of the season. Awesome to see the team starting to come together, gel, and play to their talent! Lets hope this improvement trend continues and the guys recover, maintain focus and get in a good week of practice because we have another tough matchup this weekend thatll require the lads playing to their potential.. Secondly, I did disagree with a few coaching decisions in the game. WVU certainly left points on the board in the 3rd qtr. I didnt like the decision to not kick the FG when we were up 31-7 early in the 3rd qtr. Getting stuffed on 4th down is a potential momentum igniter for the opposing team. Take your 3 points, go up 34-7 and extend the lead. They was two 4th downs in the 3rd qtr in FG range we didnt convert, and vs a better team that could be the difference in winning or not, thats 6 points we could have added to the board. Getting stuffed on two 4th downs in a row could be what a better team needs to change momentum. Taking 3 points however is still a win for the good guys while also extending the lead. Granted WVU was moving the ball well and our defense was playing well, so I understand why Brown choose to go for it, but with how quickly momentum can change on the road, the safe play is to extend the lead and not give them an opening to switch game flow.. We also chose to kneel it in the 4th when we could have very easily scored, which I completely understand+agree and is good sportsmanship on Brown's part, so the score doesnt really reflect how the good guys absolutely DOMINATED, esp with the garbage time TD by OkieSt. Great win for the team, not just a win, but a dominate win in every phase of the game, very much needed, stacking wins will help build confidence, get them back on track & reinforce relentless effort + focus. Brown's teams do historically improve as seasons progress too, and if WVU continues to gel, improves, and if they stay healthy, definitely have a real shot at being one of the two standing in Dallas. We are seeing this conference is very much up for grabs, and no doubt WVU has a real chance here. We have the experience, talent, skillset diversity, and if we continue to play up to our potential, not a doubt we can be in contention, even with a tough remaining schedule. Speaking of which, this week is when IowaSt's schedule starts to get much tougher. WVU, UCF, TTech, Utah, KState... Thats on par with WVU's remaining schedule, so we'll see how IowaSt can hold up through that gauntlet.. They ALL are must wins, but this week vs #11 IowaSt is certainly absolutely critical. I will say, looking more closely at IowaSt, I believe they are a bit overrated. When you look at their SoS so far this season its not very good, and the one decent out of conference game/win was vs a team known to have a "world class offense" in Iowa haha. Comparatively, WVU I think is more normalized to playing a higher quality opponent. Maybe, Ill eat crow, but if this weekly trend continues, I dont see IowaSt coming into Morgantown and getting a win. I think itll be a close hard fought game, but in the end, WVU gets the win at home. WVU fans like to see Rocko do well, just hopefully its not this week. If you closely followed his HS performances, you could see his mobility, very stout lower body strength, so no doubt his mobility adds another element to their offense this season now he has a season under his belt and a bit more physically developed. Close game, def have to contain Rocko, but I honestly think whether WVU wins or not is more about WVU playing to its potential again. Even though IowaSt is #11, I think this is WVU's game to lose... 34 WVU - 30 IowaSt
You guys were talking before this game that the OSU game will tell you who we are as a team. I hope that ends up being true because we will playing in the playoffs. Let’s go Mountaineers!
"Do, do do dooo.. Here comes the heater... Do doooo.. Spreads on stats..do dooo"... 🤔😂 Love the tunes on this show, are they corny... Maybe.. But I love em!! That opener is a banger!! 🎸🎶😁
Kansas losing doesn't help WVU and OK-State losing, is not helping in strength of schedule. Sorry Neal Brown I am saying what people are saying on the outside the program. We need a win against a winner.... Iowa State is a huge game for our kids and the Program / Neal Brown/ Wren Baker.... and I am sorry to say but K- State is huge as well.... the question from the Media is " Who is WVU"" Respectable or not respectable...? We haven't been respectable, hint lies in our rankings prior to season and during season. Pitt is 5 -0 and they are in the Top 20 this week.... We dug a hole and its going to take some wins to dig us out... It was a good win Mountaineers but we need more of them....
Somebody get Nicco his money!

We deserved a game like this.
Best overall half of football since Neal has been here imo!! We put 2 halves like that together and we can compete with just about anyone also IMO!!
