Rob, my mouth is watering because I was able to finally order a Zelos this morning. I literally happened to go to their sits and see a 20 minute countdown to the release. I was able to order this exact watch but in Titanium. I had all but given up on Zelos because they sell out so fast. I really like your reviews, please ,eep it up.
Got my Frost! My first white dial and loving it. It works well on my 6.5" wrist. It's a gorgeous watch. The bezel finish is a classy touch. The screws were a bit lose...a little more than I am comfortable with. Thank you for the tip!
I picked up a ventus northstar recently, very similar case shape, dimensions and build quality (make sense given thier ownership connection). The Mako seems to take it the next level up with the movement and that dial! Both have knocked it out of the park, it's is good to see modern styling done well.
Got a brass Northstar N-5 and just ordered the Frost Mako in this video. This seems a lil' bigger 40.5mm and thicker than the Ventus, but very similar agreed 👌
Really nice bracelet on this one. I like the white dial a lot more than the black and love the lume on the dial. Amazing watch. I wish they produced more watches because they sell out so fast.
Just ordered the Mako V3 Vintage Black Bronze.. I’ve always wanted a bronze watch, and I think once the case starts to patina it’ll look fantastic! That might be an interesting video to make.. how to accelerate the patina of a bronze watch..
Some fine pieces from Zelos. I'm more impressed with the new clasp design with on the fly adjustment. Hope they incorporate it to more models. HOWEVER, I'm just not a big fan of their limited 1st batch run and sudden price increase after the 2nd and 3rd batch releases. I just can't justify buying it at $600-700.
1:18 hey man the salesman pitch is going a little too far here 😂 Drilled lugs are a feature, no drilled lugs isn't a deal breaker but come on it's not a feature.
Great review! I have the SS Vintage Black version (same as your review model) and absolutely love it. I’m tempted to pick up the Frost model too after watching your video. Cheers.
I bought the frost model as my first automatic watch thanks, in part, to your reviews. Love the case shape and the full lumed dial is actually more subtle that I was expecting which is good.
Wow I really like that clasp with the quick adjust. Is it like a divers extension- only one other size when you extend it or does it halve multiple spots for sizing in the quick adjust ?
Does the 4 o’clock crown dig into the wrist when you flex your wrist up? That’s my biggest issues with the SKX and actually keeps me from wearing it. I guess I prefer a 3 o’clock crown. I love the dial on this thing, the swirl and meteorite are sick!
Hi Rob. Really enjoyed this video. Zelos is one of my favorite brands! Can you please check and let me know how accurately these two watches are running. Thank you in advance!
I'm still hanging on to my V2 makos for dear life. I loved them, but I'm not as much of a fan of the v3 dials or movements. I do like that bracelet though
I grabbed the recent Swordfish Titanium (teal). $369. It is my first Zelos. I would rate it as "fine". As an Asian microbrand/casemaker they should be compared with San Martin, Heimdallr, Steeldive, and other microbrands. Price wise there's no comparison... but I understand why Zelos' original designs are more expensive. So I wasn't upset paying $370, but I don't think I would pay more 🛑 My Titanium Swordfish has a couple of annoying problems. Deeply embossed caseback is bothering me a little bit. You probably can't use it to grate carrots, but cheese - absolutely, 100%. Too abrasive for skin contact. The "Z" logo on the clasp is OFFENSIVELY sharp 😡🤬 They should have included a 1mm screwdriver (I mean, come on!) So... Again, it's FINE. It's OK. If Zelos paid me $$$ I would tell you it's amazing, unbelievable, I would breathe heavily into microphone and make orgasmic sounds))) But Zelos is not paying me, therefore I will stick to "fine" and "OK" 🤷🏿
I just ordered a that Mako Frost, having just bought a Ventus brass Diver (Ventus being also owned by Elsan Thang) and i own San Martin watch and Phoibos too. Both Phoibos and my Ventus feels a notch above the San Martin, and they come with more original design. Still also love my San Martin, but No doubt the more expensive competition is Better. Just like San Martin beats Pagani Design.
Technically you could consider this almost the V4, or at least the 4th run. Usually it's one run per version, but this is the second run of the V3 with new colorways and with the next quick adjust clasp.
the one run per version seems to be ending now that Zelos has gotten so popular. The recent Ti Swordfish run was still considered V2 by Elshan, and there will be a new SF40 run in December (in both bronze and steel).
Just bought one. I've a few complaints - the wooden box is shoddy and not well made, the leather travel wallet looks and feels cheap and the finish on the strap is less smooth than you describe. Your clasp has a nice brushed finish down the middle of the Z, mine doesn't. There was no extra tropical strap and, surprisingly, no instructions or paper work. The crown appears to wobble, and it's difficult to set it where you can adjust the date. Where there should be a position for manually winding the watch it travels freely. I'm thinking of returning it ...
Zelos is really making some nice watches- completely agree with your expectations. The steel blue dial is sweet. Wish they were 42mm and thinner. That full lume is amazing.
Unfortunately Zelos will not be the next big watch brand until it is able to make watches available instead of being sold out all the time. I think it makes too many versions. Concentrate on a couple of versions and make them available instead of limited runs.
I should give you a thumbs down for making my wallet lighter. I just bought the Frost. My first white dial. It spoke and now I can't sleep wondering when it'll arrive and also anxious to see the production number. Thanks for the video.
i dont think zelos will ever be another Cward unless they change their limited stock availability issue. Beautiful watches yes, priced higher than other microbrands yes but eventually they will all end up on the second market with a mark up and theres nothing us the consumer can do anything about it. Awful practice, ive been trying to get a zelos for a very long time now but every model that im interested in is always sold out immediately
I am not a fan of the green day lume, it's not very clean and aesthetically pleasing. why don't they apply a white / light blue pigmentation like what the all the other brands do.
I like Zelos watches, but what I don’t like about the company is their culture of short run limited editions. ALL of their watches are like that. I visited the website recently and about 99% of the watches on display there are always “sold out”. It’s forced limited distribution and not fare to a lot of potential customers. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth, and makes me dislike rather like the company. It’s a trend they started and that has spread to other popular micro-brands as well. A premeditated plan, rather than any real limitations on production capacity and not cool! Rant over 😁
Agreed. I’d love to give Zelos a try. I’ve never really been a fan of micro brands, but this one I’d actually be interested in. But alas, they are never available, always “sold out”. Good luck to them gaining a larger fan base with this method of doing business.
I enjoyed your review up to the point I stopped watching because I am not a fan of Zelos or most of the similar business model micro brands which make absolutely no effort whatsoever to stock product. They may be making money, but they aren’t real businesses. I quit watching reviews of these some time ago and wish you would quit pumping watches like this. Why bother to review products that aren’t available.
I realise this video includes a ' Paid Promotion' but there is a real lack of objectivity & critical thinking here! The lug to lug of this watch is effectively 52mm which would make it too big for quite a few people but this is glossed over & the whole video comes across as an advert for Zelos!
Many watches have larger measurements with bracelet. This won’t make watch unwearable for most. It works perfect on me and many others I have talked to. Also feel free to slap on a strap (also included) it a mesh maybe for smaller wrist. Zelos Mako is a great model that sells out for a reason.
Wow I really like that clasp with the quick adjust. Is it like a divers extension- only one other size when you extend it or does it halve multiple spots for sizing in the quick adjust ?

Congrats. I hope to see one of those later on.
Never seen this much promotion on ANY watch and Zelos / Elshan Tang deserve everything they've obtained. This watch just blew up on the internet!

Get some loctite 222 and put a tiny amount on the screw threads!
I love that white dial. But I can see the appeal of the vintage dial...it is done perfectly. Thank you for a fantastic review Rob 😊👍
Just picked up the Frost bronze case. Really impressed with the angles on the case and the watch overall!
That Vintage Black is crazy. Really something else.
Love the pop of orange and red. Feels like yesterday that V2 was out.
The texture in that black dial is pretty awesome
I picked up a ventus northstar recently, very similar case shape, dimensions and build quality (make sense given thier ownership connection). Both awesome examples. Tough to pick a favorite.
I picked up the Vintage Black in Steel and So glad I did because it is all gone already. Can't wait to receive it :)
I was looking at this watch today and your video just popped up, what a coincidence
1:18 hey man the salesman pitch is going a little too far here 😂

That frost white is on point!!!
I have the steel sky blue one. The dial is just hypnotic.

I do love the faux patina version
I love my Zelos, best micro Brand hands down in my opinion.
I just placed an order for the screw driver. Enjoy your 12 cents from your affiliate pay!
Lol thanks man.
Great video man. I just ordered the white dial after seeing this video. Thanks 🙏🏻
I love the 6 oclock date, i kinda wish the islander watches that mark makes had this option as its much cleaner looking than the day/date
Ooo like that white dial
Hi. how does the whilte zelos compare to the white king samurai?
I have the bronze one and love it. However, why not make it 200m WR and slim the case down a few mil?
The frost is awesome. Lumey Mclumeface
My "Steel sky blue" is 18/100, so not all colorways were 200. I love it.
That explains why it was sold out first.

Such a tempting price but gotta save for a luxury timepiece now 🤣

Q: Once a model is sold out, does that mean Zelos will not make any more?
Would love to see your opinion on the new titanium versions
They didn’t send me one. Hope someone does
Sorry, but in what world in non drilled lugs a good thing?
I would take the v2 over the v3 any day.
Beauties both of them
Rob, this is version 3 take 2. You have reviewed version 3 some months ago.
Love your reviews!
Man..Elshan is going to make me poor! Yet another grand slam!
Love zelos
As of today I was going to order this watch and they are sold out of almost everything...
Rob Zombie aka random Rob 🤟😎🤟👹👺
Think there on there way to being a brand like Christopher Ward not a Micro brand but a independent watch maker .
They’re on their way
