Your gas struts are under rated for the weight of the door...check to see if you Have the adjustable ones onfirst...by twisting the rods..etc...if not you need the up rated struts

My dad says your gas struts seal has dried out and failed. Next time you install them put them the other way up so the oil sits ontop of the seals.
