@@codytraweek4407 Just saying I've seen a ton of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction speeches and this one is by far the worst. Hell, Kendrick Lamar did a better one for NWA and they are not even rock music.
It should have been someone other than Corgan to do the intro for Pink Floyd. For example a contemporary artist who admires them and knew their music up close like Paul MacCartney or Pete Townshed who both have even worked with David Gilmour in the past and are of the same caliber. Corgan does not fit that category. Rush or Yes had not been inducted at that time so that would not happen. But like many things about the RRHOF , they always screw up badly.
Disagree. It ideally should always be someone who grew up with the music and who could be a conduit for their audience to discover someone they might not have been exposed to.
Yeah if you haven’t caught on by now, talented and famous musicians who admire the inductee are picked. Corgan is exactly that and I can tell you’ve never listened to an entire Smashing Pumpkins song in your life. You’re missing out
Pink floyd always my fav wen my son passed i went fromwiah u were here to comflt numb where I've stayed thankyou gentlemen u rock
Now it's time for the smashing pumpkins to get this hall of fame
Man, I would LOVE to be the one to induct the Smashing Pumpkins...
(How could they not be in already?)
You'd think they would have by now. they've been around for like 30 years now. Maybe in 2022
That mic, is very low.
nah billy is just really tall lmao
Who was on the lectern before him? Paul Simon? Prince? Angus Young?
No Billy corgan is 6’3

Shine on you crazy diamond? I thought the album was entitled Wish You Were Here?
4:07 Perhaps an idea for a song name some day?
Why the hell they are not in the hall of fame yet?
I don’t know if it’s me but it doesn’t feel heartfelt. Corgan could have done much better, it just feels kinda rushed.
I believe he was given very short notice to do it.
It's just you. This speech couldn't have been more heartfelt. It's obvious that he is a true fan. I don't know what the hell you're talking about.
