The problem is corner carrying... his corner setups are deadly but unfortunately you would never drag your opponent to the corner
Infinity Frost Not true. There will always be a point in a match where your opponent is in the corner. It will either be you in the corner or the other player.

Im having trouble connecting b3 after db2 mb..... any tips? I do the inputs of b3 and it still doesn't come out or it does come out but way too late

just have to find that sweet spot. One tip I have is after you do db2 mb hold up. The very first frame Robin actually jumps shows you when you are able to input again.
juanlash atm im holding back as soon as the opponent switches side n then mash 33333 lol
juanlash watch my video about my Robin combos they're easy and they do high damage but after the db2 wait for the animation to end right away then do b2, it's tricky but after a few hours of practice you'll get it down.
I’m probably late as fuck but try hitting back and three at the exact same time it comes out faster than if you were to hold back and then press three

I found that doing a d2 after the dash gives more time for the 212 on the corner f21 db2MB b3 combo

can someone help me understand what makes the one combo a guaranteed 50/50? this is my first fighting game I've owned and I have put about 20 or so hours in I really like robin and I am trying to improve and understand more technical things.

aye but shouldn't you be using the BLUE version of his character power because the RED one is minus 6 on block? I know the red hits low but if they block it from that close then isn't that punishable? Just asking..

I don't think anything can punish -6 in this game. Blue trait isn't bad though it definitely has it's uses.
Does anyone know if the Nightwing trait is an actual thing you can aquire?

pretty new to fighting games, can someone explain to me what back one and forward to our? I don't know what one and two are
1= light attack
2= medium attack
3= heavy attack
4= trait
not understanding why back 3 doesn't want to land for me... once im a blue moon it will but robin is often too late... any advice?

thanks, it wasn't working in practice mode for some reason but worked fine during versus and so on... may have been a glitch or something.
Is he very difficult? I want to main him day 1 but I've only played a bit of injustice 1 and i'm trying to transition smooth from mkx

V4NN3rR remembering combos and setups is one thing but this game is full of zoners so yea hes very hard. i main him and online are full of zoners
V4NN3rR Robin is a fun character to play. He's currently my main but like the others told you it's very difficult to get in since everyone and their moms want to play zoning characters, however once he gets in he's a mix demon that will melt your life bar away. I recommend picking up a secondary character though, I have a pocket Green Lantern and Catwoman as well as a decent Scarecrow.
Looking at things right now from the outside (I don't have the game and didn't preorder) it seems pretty hectic with Deadshot and I don't want to call anyone pussies for complaining about zoning because I myself did back in MKX and it actually makes me kind of sad Deadshot's going to get nerfed like a bitch because of all the complaining. We're going to have to deal with it until and then after the patch. I decided to try and main Robin just because that's the character I want to play but I would advise everyone (once again I haven't played just watched) to pick up someone who zones (since it's so powerful), someone with a tele (scarecrow,darkseid,supergirl), and then just whoever you want. Just from a technical standpoint.
V4NN3rR That's exactly why I have Green Lantern as my secondary main, he has decent zoning and when he gets in he does good damage.
I understand the numbers for the controllers but theirs no purpose in them for me
i think alot of people are having the same problem its really hard to land that back 3 after the MB down back 2. im also having alot of trouble landing it even in practice mode any tips at all?
River Gray What works for me nearly 100% of the time is to MB right as you see the animation of the db2. This somehow gives you a bit more time to hit the b3. Often times you'll it them almost right before they come to the ground

I know this is an old comment and you probably already got it down but If anyone sees this then thats all I want really. I used to have problems catching back 3s with all characters when they do certain combos. I dropped it at least 50% but I realized that you have to tap back 3 and when I mean tap I mean just quickly tap 3 cause if if your finger is held on the 3 even a little then you will miss. Any time you have to do a back 3 in a combo do just that tap and I'm telling you won't ever drop the combo off a back 3.
They fixed it its way easier now i can land it every time

I'm main robin, but I have trouble online with zoning characters, I'm trying to find a backup that's a good counter to that, does anyone know any good zoning counter characters ?
