I bought a bangle from someone in her store there's just aswome jade. However I'm now thinking the jade may have been treated 🤔 how sad. But the bangle is pretty. Thank you for sharing this knowledge 🙏
This is the best video I have seen yet! I bought several green type A Chinese pendants, as well as several jadeite type B+ C and nephrite (dyed) bangles & bracelets. This was disclosed to me at the time. (I didn't know any better at the time-I am ok with the bracelets, as I didn't pay very much at the time.) I am now an older retired widow on a fixed income, & inheritance is not an issue. I would like to buy a small-stone green jadeite Burmese ring, for not a lot of money. These stones are shipped from China & are advertised type A translucent Burmese jadeite, certificate (in Chinese, which I don't understand), and all. I am going to buy one of those uv lights. If it has been treated, I believe this jade will outlive me. Could you please give me your opinion, as they are beautiful, & I just cannot afford something expensive at this point in my life! Thank you very much!!
Hi! Thank you for putting this informative video, really beneficial. By the way, do you buy jade in USA or in Asia? I wish to buy one too .... Thanks again!
Hey I consider your video the reason I decided to get myself a UV light and a scope with 10x Loupe and would like to know if there's a way to spot a Grade C Jadeite since me and my mother are going to go window shopping for some Jadeites and Nephrites from where my father has bought some and would like to test my knowledge so far.
Hi very interesting video. I produce jade jewellery and I quite agree with your comments. Any reputable person should be prepared to get a full gem report from a respected gem lab on any piece, on my "lesser" pieces this is at cost and on my more exclusive it is standard with the piece. I have both jadeite and Nephrite.

you're probably better off buying them in asia from trusted jewellers because they're more likely to be real
Very handy, _thank you_
Would black dye glow?

You’ll have to get an expert’s opinion on that, they’ll tell you if the jade is a grade C, B, or A.
How much was the treated bangle that you bought?

how much should a real lavender jade bangle go for?
I’d say, not much. Because many consider the high quality green more expensive, but are a bit more pricey than Low quality green ones.
around £150 depending on the size
A lot... Depends on translucency. For an opaque-- it can be anywhere from $100+ and for something with good translucency, around $1k+
