I think the video shows the advantages and disadvantages of the largest X4 carrier quite well. It is very strong thanks to excellent weapons and a huge hangar. But he doesn't have S quick-start tubes, and he doesn't handle M ships well. Its huge single engine is delicate.
Raptor is goat. Me personally, I run flak on outer slots, beam on centre slots, and tracking launchers in L slots loaded with heavy clusters. I run my asps with 2x beams and an ion. Run in wings of 4, they make a good s/m counter and will melt enemy fighter wings. I like eclipse with 2 tracking launchers and gats as my fighter bombers. The carrier gives the flexibility to adjust their missile loadout on the fly for any situation, making them a cheap, flexible, and very effective multi-purpose workhorse.
Raptor is OP, i only build 1 to have it. Personal i like good old Colossus Sentinel the most. I had full beams on my Raptor, and it worked very well, but you get ear cancer from the beam noise. The setup in the video, i like the most, nice visuals to watch🤪. Never missiles, too much micromanagement and they arent worth it...
@egoaut oh yeah, that beam noise is extremely obnoxious. I use only 1 mod, and it is to make the beam noise quieter. I do like how its damage potential is offset by low shields, so you still have to position it correctly. But I'm the same, I only have one as a flagship. I think I'm that one guy who actually likes missiles 😆
What music/melody is on the background? Minute 6 and aproximatly 40 seconds. I know that song but i can not find it. Never mind. I found it. It's "Prince Igor".

@@egoaut It was just something that hit me after 900 hours in the game. If they are flying in a hydrogen cloud, dense enough to condense the hydrogen, the contrails would be light blue 😜
shame that ai are very poor, i am end game now and i have crush xenon with a raptor and 2 asgard + fleet protection...now i try to spread war for having a challenge.
@ouranosodysseus286 , if only the AI would be a little bit more intelligent - i am still hoping that 7.0 will do it. For me the first 200 hours are the most enjoyabel.
@@kevinmalisek9353 I believe original comment is valid. Video was painful to watch because of drop of FPS. I played X2-X4 in the past and if I got it lagging like this, I just would not play anymore. (I dont remember such situations, perhaps I set it to more reasonable settings? - dont know).

I played all of those games too and it always lagged whenever there was a super large battle going on.. that did not prevent me from playing the game in the slightest as I understood the reason why it was happening and after the battle it went from laggy back to super smooth. Grow some brain before commenting thank you

heavy fighters with torpedos set to bombard are king. M ships suck when xenon capitals are present as they get swatted out the sky.
Yes, but some M's would be nice interceptors, but "in high attention" they suck landing on carriers.

wtf is this the performance of this game? 20 fps?
This game is CPU intensive and really needs the fastest single core performance. 10-90fps is the average.
My Rig is not the best.....but i still like it.
imagine complaining about performance when there are a couple hundred ships constantly firing lasers all around the place. I smell Elite fanboy
