The red cars with blue light bars are the Surgical Business Transportation cars for Semmelweis University, and are used to transport surgeons/doctors/personnel from the Semmelweis University to other places where they are needed.
Laughing out loud & Lots of laughs False. Mastercom B is a newer version of the Mastercom. They have the same tones, but they sound different because they are different generations.
Uhm, yeah... to me that's nothing special. Fire-trucks, police, ambulance: every emergency vehicle does that in Amsterdam as well. Going against traffic or taking the bicycle path? That's just normal ;)
Wow definitely a peculiar siren call! Like the ones for Ambulances in Holland [in relation to how strange sirens can get!]. But most interesting in this video is the insight to their fleet, the Grande Punto for one, then a Suzuki Ignis, and lastly that old Passat variant, only strange because of its age! Great video, as always.
It's very good to see the cars out from Semmelweis University; they're blood runners (Literally, Semmelweis Egyetem - Sürgősségi vérszállítás = Semmelweis University: Emergency Blood Delivery). There are only two things you don't do when they come down the road. Number 1: Get in the way. Number 2: Repeat number 1. You are liable to lose limbs if you try. At least they have enough blood on board for you :)
The Fiat Punto is the one which acts as an Emergency Blood Transporter, right ? Does Semmelweis University also operate hospitals or do they only operate the blood bank for other hospitals ? I read about Semmelweis University on the net, they are one of the oldest Hungarian medical universities and they have a special bussiness, which acts as logistic provider for Health Care.
the red and white fiat is from the university hospital and has the purpose of blood transport. the ford is from an private organization and also transporting blood
The Punto is an emergency blood delivery vehicle from Semmelweis University. HU: Semmelweis Egyetem - Sürgőssegi Vérszállítás EN: Semmelweis University - Emergency Blood Delivery
The old Passat is belong to the Fire Department of Budapest. :) The red Punto's owner is the Semmelweis Medical University. The car is transporting blood.
2 Das liegt m. E. an verschiedenen Gründen.
LibertyCountyPS - The two you call out are American. They look like either 1st Generation Federal® or maybe Whelen® light bars, likely with either a Federal or Whelen siren. If you look some of these companies up on the web you might find some can play their siren sounds so you can compare. American siren sounds are usually: Wail - Long rising and falling electronic siren sound. Yelp - A rapid "whistling" kind of electronic siren sound, usually used approaching intersections. Hi-Lo - An electronically simulated European siren sound. Priority - (aka "Phaser") Rapid electronic sound like a low pitched Star Trek Phaser. Air-Horn - A loud, low and flat tone simulating a fire engine air-horn. Rumbler - A new, separate unit that produce very low frequency sounds that penetrate vehicles so you "feel" the sound as well as hear a siren. Very effective in congested areas. The 1st generation are the squared-off angular look light bars as seen in the two examples. About as aerodynamic as a barn door on your roof. 2nd Generation were oval shaped looking from the side. 3rd Generation were individual light pods mounted in a "V" pointed forward on the roof. 4th Generation are low-profile bright LED bars that can look clear (and frustratingly hard to spot at a distance) until they're turned on.
The white van belongs to the Budapest Transport Company. Supervisor. When there is a breakdown in the system they respond this way. My personal opinion is that such a vehicle should not be an emergency vehicle and be allowed to respond lights and siren, but that's just me.
The second siren I just heard and I was frickin' spooked and my muscle memory automatically searched for a reason why and remembered a scary story I heard on TH-cam a year ago about clown figures following a guy because he heard and obsessed an icecream truck theme late at night and he kept hearing it so the clowns kept finding him till he eventually untill... I decided the rest wasn't valuable information so I didn't even watch the rest.
As someone currently in hungary I can say that hungary’s siren usage is:
