I mean I've listened to many of Jacob Banks' songs; but everytime I watch him perform, it just feels like the first time, when I fell in love with his music!
My favorite song was "Unknown to you"; but the more I listen to his songs, the more it becomes hard for me to decide which one is my favorite. 'Cause almost all of his songs are perfect.

Just saw him last night, he was amazing.
As a father of a son and a daughter ... now teens ... I recall the moments of their early childhood and their innocence. The way they are seeing their place in the world ... I wish I could protect them from the need to grow up and face the things that I know they will eventually have to face. But those things make us strong. But still .... they are my babies, and wish they wouldn't grow up so fast. This song makes me shed tears ... and makes me think deeply on the adequacy of being a parent to a child that will live in a world we can't yet fathom. And I recall telling them they can be anything the want to be, and I'll be in their corner as long as I have breath.

I recently experienced the vocal mastery of this artist watching a closing scene from an episode of Power Book 2 when the character Tariq St. Patrick is arrested on his college campus. I was totally mesmerized when I heard this voice; it's reminiscent of old school music when people really sang and as you listened you felt an emotional connection. His bravado, the rise and fall, everything about his delivery is spot on.
Im so happy I got to see him live at the o2 forum in london last year, he had no where the recognition he deserved but now I can tell hes going to rocket upwards and seeing him is going to be so much more more challenging as tickets will probs so expensive and sold out straight away but I couldn't be happier for him!
