- Hello guys, the first video in 2019
In this video, I'll show you a simple technique to make Liquify Line Effect using Illustrator and Photoshop. So you also can call this Distorted Line Effect or Liquid Line Effect or whatever you want.
This is a really cool effect if you looking for some abstract background for your poster or lettering.
Hope you enjoy this tutorial and learn something new. The final result of this tutorial you can see on my Instagram.

Hi Nobu, I just tried tried this effect but somehow I cannot export the photoshop data back to illustrator ( the "paste" button is not activated) . Would you have any ideas why? I went to the illustrator settings but couldn't find anything that works.
Thank you !
You can save your artwork in photoshop as image (png/jpg) then open it in Illustrator.
@@nobudesign Yes of course! Why didn't I think of that ?! Thank you : )
1:50 There is absolutely no need to check the link button here: if you hold the shift key while resizing aspect ratio is preserved. Seems more efficient to me.
(If you hold the alt key as well the object's center is maintained too)
What brush is that? Im using CC and can't find it...
That is liquify effect on photoshop
@@nobudesign I meant at 5:37 when you add the textured brush
@@a_meek_1625 "Round Blunt Medium stiff", if you couldn't find this brush go to Brush setting panel, click hamburger menu in the corner and select Legacy Brush. Dont forget to uncheck scattering
"DON'T THINK TO MUCH"
Clearly.

Pewdiepie pattern
Brofist. 😁
Pewdiepie don't invented that pattern so stop taking like he invented, this just a very common Op Art style, very very common, that you saw this the first time on pewdiepie that not means he invented.
@@wallendiaz Nobody is saying that PewDiePie invented that
oh dang i though you were gonna liquify in AI .. is it not possible ? only PS has that function ??
ive been looking for days now on how to liquify on AI cant seem to find it anywhere, and i need to create something liqified with no background, its so frustrating
@@morneraynard7364 so you can do it with the tool in the side bar. its a little different to the photoshop approach
@@mattduncan5500 hey, you got a link to a vid that can help?
@@morneraynard7364 i dont but shift + r is the shortcut for the tool. its in with the width tool group. so should be easy for you to find :)
@@mattduncan5500 thanks for the assistance bro, big ups
