Greetings from Italy! I don’t know if you have already done a bikefit. Looking superficially the video, it seems to me that you could raise the saddle a little to have a smoother pedal stroke and a better knee angle, but I’m telling you this just to be sure that you have a good saddle position :) Good luck with the IronMan, the first one is unforgettable :)
Buongiorno !! (did I write it right ?) Thank you so much for your insight, I've done a professional bike fit when I started riding around three months ago, but you know what I might go back to see him cause I have a feeling you might be right. I feel like I can push hard from my left leg, but my right leg feels like I can't get any power from it ?? I wonder if it might be due to what you just said! Could that be due to knee angle ?
@ buongiorno :) Yes I was thinking exactly about that, your knee seems too bent and there is probably a movement in which you could lose power. but I could be fooled by the video. the last time I did the bikefit I raised the saddle by 2cm compared to what the manufacturer had recommended for me. initially I thought it was too high, but it took just a few km to make me understand that the pedaling was perfect, I pushed much more. in addition to the height I moved the saddle forward and I found myself in a very comfortable aero position and pushing more watts! For IronMan it’s important to have a good aero position because it’s no-draft race. Could also be that you adapted to the bike position and now you can have one more aggressive!
For the long ride we did 44km with 770m elevation and average pace 24kph... I feel soooo slow but trying to stay focus on little progress in how I ride... also I have no idea what is a good pace with hills so maybe a bit harsh on myself too since it's so new !! hopefully 2025 brings on some progress !!
for pacing I would look at your heart rate and make sure you it doesnt get too high. also looking up videos on how to approach and ride through different types of corners helped me a lot. good luck in your journey!
@@ChaseDougie Thank you for your tips !! I haven't thought of looking at videos.. I'll definitely do that cause I can use a little help on technique lol ! especially downhill turns arghhhh so hard for me
Very refreshing to watch your videos Tily keep going
Thanks a lot for the kind comment !! It makes the biggest difference it's hard to put yourself out there !!
Did you get the part where we almost got hit by a car ? 😂 I was not laughing on the moment though !!🙄
