Just listened to the "One Man Armageddon" before - and I have to admit, I love the positive ascended stories more. Both stories at the core are very similar, earth has been lost, a single human is shown, blended with technology to become something immortal - one filled with hatred, the other one with compassion.
I absolutely love this "Tradition" of leaving alcohol in a box in the airlock as payment for the shepherds. I think I'll incorporate that into a DnD game sometime... Maybe place a curse on anyone dumb enough to steal the Shepherd's Booze.
Nha. A secret mark. The Shepherds know any who are marked, and will not help them. Leave the possibility that somebody might take from a stash, and put something better back, "Unjust Exchange" being the trigger, but also a chance to make it fade.
I would rather say that, instead of a curse right away... The curse comes after. The Shepards don't need to be all seeing and knowing. MEaning that they won't know if there is a trade of booze or not. But when they DO come to help, and no "trade", that is when they curse. Help was offered, but not exchange was ever done. Just "taken". But then again, there is many ways this can go. In DnD, players are helleva unpredictable sometimes :D
I've had a few repeat stories between narrators. I've found that when Agro reads something I've already heard, I think "Have I heard... I've heard this before." When I hear another narrator read something I've heard Agro read, I think "This doesn't sound right, ooh Agro read it too."
@@Joshua-fo9zw I subbed to a few other HFY channels, but unsubbed due to their use of "AI" generated stories that use a thesaurus like a bible and just annoy. Also heard other stories elsewhere, but yeah, Agro does read them better.
@@ElectroBotVideo Yeah I have 2 others that only use AI on occasion, their days off I guess, their reads are good but "feel" like a professional college classroom lecture presentation, Agro gives me the feeling of "a Dad" reading to the kids at a sleepover party
I love these stories; they give me a glimmer of hope in humanity. It's nice to know there are dreamers out there who see the potential for us to achieve greatness. You have the ability to bring the story to life, thanks Argo.
made me laugh, Here is a like and comment for the story, for entertaining me, to help your channel grow, to appease the great and powerful TH-cam algorithm demon, and get you the recognition you deserve
Now I want to run an HFY RPG game, where players are never human and the humans only show up as the deus ex machina lol maybe I could adapt Star Wars rules (I'm not familiar with Traveler at all).
There is a story about a young king looking for a advisor and a human applies, he tell a story about 3 mistakes for the king to compare to his own, do anyone know the name of the story?
the last line defines the whole story when you perhaps doubt who the specters really are... LOL
Yeah except they state clearly they were humanity. Definitely ties it up with a bow though.
As a maintenance technician I can attest that after a tough job, a good shot of nerve tonic is very appreciated.
Can you also attest to hitting something thats not working and it starts working?
My old higschool science teacher named his boat "God Damn It Not Again."

We didn't go back to save our own until too late so we save who we can now.
Touching without being syrupy. Thank you, Sir Storyteller.
I've heard this story before, but ASN gives it new life, and I laughed at the end. Love you Agro

Great story; Excellent narration! Eternal wanderers looking for peace, but finding none.
I can say for a fact this was one of the most beautiful ones I've heard read between your narrations and the storyline it was just a work of art

Bittersweet indeed. Thank you.
I was good until the last line. LOL and brought tears to my eyes.
that last line 🤣🤣
Pour one out for the void Shepard...
May you never need them...
Space Santa upgraded from northpole to the void.
And from cookies and milk to alcohol.
This story made me cry and smile
For DA SKWERL and his Nest, bring the algorithm to it's knees and subjugate it in the name of DA SKWERL!
The ending is PERFECT! Well done good writer, well done.
Damn that was a beautiful story. Great job Agro your narration was wonderful as always.
Well done, as always, good Sir!
It's a beautiful story with a perfect ending ❤️ thanks.
Beautifully done. A toast to the author.
a very good story and as always, perfectly narated to give it life.
Good story sir, truth in, 'don't wait to long before helping'. Thanks to both author and you.
I think this is my favorite one so far. And I've been listening for years. Thank you for reading this and all the others.
Of course it had to be a Scottish engineer.
A very serious and somber story... right up until that last line. That got me laughing.
Nicely done, to both the voice & the creator.
Every bit as good as I could have hoped.
Sad but thoughtful. At least the few remaining humans now help others in this story.
Thank you both for such beauty. UKUK
This was bittersweet.
For the algorithm. Well done and that was a fun story.
Ok, last line got me for sure.
I figured the 'void shepherd' was saying something along those lines, but I didn't expect the pilot to rename his ship that...
The end. Amazing.
Great story and narration, thanks for both!
Bravo Sir Encore!
For the algorithm with energy!
Superb ending.
Thank you for the reading
Ty for more great reads.
That shepherd must have worked with me. That was my favorite saying when I worked on a POS.
Lovely.
