To those here saying I should play War Thunder. I do.
I know War Thunder does a lot of these things, and I really enjoy playing it with these things in it. This was however specifically geared at the developers from the Console version of WoT. I made this video and posted it on the official forum for them to view. I also never thought it would get this popular, so thanks for that :D
I wanted the developers of the console version to look at what a much simpler version of a tank game, that being GuP: DTM, does that's already much more complex than they already have, and maybe have them make some interesting changes to WoT.

you mean like how wt has two tiger p's, one with a 200mm of frontal armour even though it was never fitted with that, only the turret-less command variant had that. you know the one that didnt have a gun.
or the tiger 2 that never had a 105 fitted to it, or the panther 1f in game and the panther 2 both having the vadertrum turret and the panther 2 using the long 88.
or the t92 being a prototype tank and never seeing combat. or the t25 being just a prototype.
or the russian t50 being that fucking fast (and it being a prototype) or the t10.
are you getting the picture? the reason wot can get away with this is the fact the devs put the play-ability above historical accuracy. making fake tanks if needed is something that may be necessary. for example the wte100 until they find something to replace it with.
but wt is worse seeing everyone loves putting it on the "oh wow its sooo historical and truthful" when in reality it makes up just as much bullshit as wot does.

mainly because wt is a game full of shiny shit so people will be drawn to it, while wot has a far better replay value... mainly because once you realized that wt main goal is insanely hard to get (like unless you're spamming gold and selling your legs to pay for it) it will take months if not close to a half year or full year to even get 1 branch complete... not even counting if you're doing nothing but realistic or sim games which are almost non existent in that game...

A skin changes nothing. And a duck covering the turret is plain distracting. Therefore a viable strategy to use in battle, instead of drawing a penis on the side of your tank.

Maybe Gajin will add that feature to War Thunder but since its realistic they mostlikely wont since yes a BT can drive on its track wheels but it isnt healthy for it. The tanks in GuP are heavily modified and upgraded to fit a more safe but competitive environment
Really looking forward to this coming to the Switch! To all those saying that people should look to War Thunder... it's an absolute broken mess, and sometimes people want to play things that don't """try""" to simulate realism. Take it from me, I have over 1,200 hours in the game. It's seriously not that great, especially in the case of Realistic Battles.
I'm definitely buying it for the Switch as well, plus I will purchase the DX version DLC they said they are releasing for PS4 . I'm more than happy to support Garupan on multiple consoles, especially if it gets me more.

I play war thunder, but, as an ex WoT player, here's what I think, the only ones they should add are: multiple guns, smoke screens, visible crew, trackless drive for the BT series (I think it was the only one to use it) and maybe dynamic scenary, the other ones make only sense is a GuP game.

well technically because the tiger p use's electric motors instead of a "direct" drive to the tracks it can speed up and maintain speed far better than a conventional track design. mind you in WWII electric motors werent good...
The in-setting explanation is that where modifying the engine is against the rules, they tweaked the motor, which technically isn't cheating.
All good suggestions, except for the driving on wheels thing. The BTs actually required a bit of work to be able to do that, so maybe if you lost your tracks and you ditched them for the rest of the game for a shorter repair sure. The BTs couldn't just instantly take off after losing their tracks though.

GuP dream tank match is kinda like a mix between WoT and War Thunder since I do see a Hp bar in the game and some realistic features

No idea, I just figured that with Valkyria Chronicles (and now 4) being on PC they would also port this over as well since both WT and WoT are shitty biased grind machines, at least for me. That's what I'm hoping for that is.
If it moves to PC the mod possibilities are endless and Garupan gets more money. I'm all for the PC port if it ever happens.

About tanks driving without tracks, that was only really possible with that line of tanks, namely the Soviet BT series of tanks, as they used the Christie suspension that had rubber wheels for road us.

Here is my opinion on those things that you suggested:
1:Multi-Gun and Turret Support
It is indeed a good idea as i can see plenty of tanks that could bennefit from this but it would also be problematic for tanks like the Japanese Heavies mainly because i would see them becoming more overpowered than they currently are...
2:Smokescreens
Another great idea as it could really save you from a situation where you are trying to run out of cover and are getting bombarded by arty's or if you want to do an sneaky solo play , very usefull for the little scouts aswell.
3:Recon/Spotting Balloons
Another great tool , and since i saw people here complaining about it making you visible , just think about it the same way as you see a player , it all depends on your Transmission and crew , if you can see a tank 500 M away but cant see it 501 M away then the same would apply for the baloon , also since its in the air it would be pretty difficult to shoot down but overall i think its a nice idea spepcially when you are in a tight 1v5 situation for example.
4:Blank Shells
I cant really see any good use for them except for tricking your enemy into the fact that you missed your shot , but that would only be viable with a tank with a secondary cannon like the Maus , dont really find this working here.
5:Tankettes
They are in the game kind of....
6:Visible Tank Commanders
First of all , lets not forget that we drive , driverless tanks because there is literally no crew inside it? , second of all , except for visuals i think its a pointless but nice feature
7:Allowing Tanks to drive without tracks
This one is quite an absurd one but it would be kinda alright if there were a drawback to this , like for example , you try to drive your tank once your tracks have been blown off but you are extremly slow and also it would damage the module all the way to the red and it would take a long time to repair it back if it were destroyed , and secondarily , it could also work if it had a permanent damage system , i mean you attempt it , you do it to save yourself from a dire situation but you wont be able to move or turn , which i think its not a really good indea since the Tank Destroyers would suffer a lot from this one
8:Dynamic Scenery and Props
This would be an interesting one especially in city maps , like for example if sombeody is hiding behind the rubble of a fallen building , shooting it repeteadly would cause the parts to spread and make way for you to shoot , or to shoot certain buildings to block down roads to save yourself from extreme situations
9:Dynamic Camouflage Walls
No , this is simply outragerous
10:Tank Nitrous
No , this is also outragerous , also dont even think about drifting.
11:Mid match , tank transformations
I think that would be awesome for certain tanks like the T95 , where you could drop your tracks in order to go through narrower spaces but loose armor to it in exchange for maneuverability.
12:Extensive tank customization
Yeah sure , who doesnt like a pink tank in the middle of WW2 , gotta stand out and be fabulous , all guns on me right? , now seriously speaking its alright as long as it is similar to the one WarThunder has where you can place bushes , helmets and stuff on your tank

Jokes aside, some of these like multi-gun, smoke screen, and visible tankers actually do sound like interesting additions, and just so happens that Gaijin Entertainment that doesn't really care about its players base or community as much even has it all already implemented. On the bright side, there are already 2 tankettes in World of Tanks (te-ke and UE-57)
Visible tank commanders in world of tanks would be an easy target. There's all ready a duck in world of tanks it's call the AMX 40
war thunder has points 1, 2 (sort of, the top tiers have that), you can use planes for point 3, currently 2 point 5s and the CV33 might be added in the near future with the italians, 6 is a yes on some vehicles, but there it is a disadvantage, 7 wouldn´t work..., i would love point 9, but it would hurt the game more than give it an advantage, yes for 12, even more with mods,

It's a whole procedure converting from track to wheel on a bt series not as simple as in GUP
Well, the part of tanks without wheels is already covered by WG. I mean, come on, the French armored cars. Just add driving without treads to BT tanks and add some convertible vehicles in the game and it's done.

I like how he thinks that the t95 with the 155 mm Cannon and the 305 mm of frontal armor can still support itself without the extra set of tracks. On soft ground it would just get bogged down, on hard ground it would probably be even slower than usual or even break down because the suspension would not be able to handle it
The T95/T28 in GuP only has the 105mm, which is why it is able to function normally. The 105mm is the only gun the T95 ever had in reality, with the 155mm being a speculated potential armament.
It feels more like WOWS.

This is a really good vid, but i have some corrections:
1. I agree that MOST tanks in wot cant move when their tracks are broken, but not all of them. The Yoh branch in wot actually lets you move when you lost your tracks, but that only applies for tier 8 or above and you can only go backwards.
2. The multiple guns and surport turrets thing might sound great but when apply to wot, its not a good idea. Because this will make the game too complicated and too exspendsive for f2p players since in wot, you have to pay for the ammunition and they arent cheap in the higher tier. Also the shooting part is aleeady required a bunch of action for a autoloading gun, get alone two, and the fact that there are two guned tanks in wot and they are some of the hardest to master in game and people often avoid using those tanks. So the multiple guns part does excist, just not common.
I thought the multi turret was tested by the 2017 halloween event.

World of tanks is supposed to be a "realistic" arcade tank game, where most of the things mentioned here are either already things you can mod, like the skins, and the moving objects in tanks. Some aspects mentioned were good, such as the tank crew being visible, the multiple gun use and smokescreens. Now, driving without tracks? Modifications mid battle? Bear in mind that the UE 57 is in fact a tankette. And throughout history only few tanks could actually drive with wheels, and even that itself was a modification of the original tanks themselves. One hint for you my friend: wargaming is shit, and expecting good things from them is dumb, the bias, the rng, and the staff itself is just bad.

This game is using the original GuP style, so basically those features are original compared to TD
I hope most of these will be featured in game, also the ability to insta-reload with perfect timing cuz of the slow reload of some tanks and trust me, it can be a pain in the ass. Same complain in war thunder even through i didn't play the game but they say the tanks reload painfully slow.
BTW how can I get this Girls Und Panzer videogame, is not on ps4 store.

If you want most of these features expect Commanders(ps Warthunder for open top tanks have crew) you can get them in Warthunder. Wot has some customization but still. If you want a game like that you should stick with the gup game than.
