maybe you guys could tell me, why do people put the chev motors in mustangs and like the 32 fords A models and others, on Counting Cars they stuck a 350 chev in a really nice old ford pick up and on the Grease Monkey Garage I have seen this too, I just find it too weird and it really rubs a lot off of a restoration for me I guess I shouldn't care but I think the main reason is its cheaper and easier which to me it is cutting corners..... I don't know its just a foxbody mustang which I own is a nice car and if the Chev motor is that much better than ford motors I believe the 91-92 and on Camaro would be the perfect home for the chev engine and the Camaro of said year is a beautiful car, keep in mind I am a 91 mustang hatchback owner I have owned it since new my buddy has a 92 Camaro I really like my car but the cut and finish and design of his Camaro is better than my Mustang, In racing I beat him all the time in a straight line, add some corners Im done:)

+heydude76 As a Ford guy myself, it's cuz chevys are cheap horsepower. They are, there's no use denying it. Fact is you can build comparable Fords too, but it takes more knowledge (or finding the right person with the right knowledge in the first place) and a little more money to do so. Many people can't be bothered to put in that extra effort for whatever reason.

I think he was done because he was pissed at the track prep. If you notice he never really makes a clean pass either that or pissed he missed the setup on his car. Either way I would be pissed to make it to the semi-finals just to go up in smoke at the hit. Boosted is the man! love his no BS mentality and keeping a ford under the hood like real mustang owners should.

The last pass you can see condensation on the back of the car, meaning the track was likely damp as well and why he didn't hook and was "done here".
Yeah, it's one thing to do no prep, it's entirely different when you're pretty much trying your luck on worsening track conditions.

+Uriah Siner Dude, Boosted is awesome. I ran into him on the street once and I was kind of nervous to approach him because I didn't want to bother him in his habitat, but I ended up going up and he was the nicest guy.
+DustinJD most of the guys you see in person that are on that show are pretty fucking cool about most everything. Discovery makes these guys look a certain way to fill a role. Within reason anyway. I could see where asking Chief or Dave about their crashes would put them in a shitty mood.

Regardless of engine combo mustangs dominate the drag scene are they an easier build or just for weight savings?
Its mostly the Foxbodies. Light cheap cars that haul ass with a good set up, Chevy or Ford powered.
Fox bodies also have loads of aftermarket support for the chassis to get them to hook.
Can one of you racing dudes tell me what broke on the TT Foxbody at 2:34? I gather that he's using a tranny brake to launch, but what broke when he lurched it forward? Assuming those lurches at staging cause a shitload of stress somewhere.

as far as street racing small tire cars like boosted, I think somthing like the alpha G or T1 would smoke all those small tire guys on the street . I need to see that street race!

+sniper1334 why would I think again? alpha G and t1 make way more power and the fact that they have slicks front and rear they can put it down on the street. obviously in this video he is tuned and running quarter mile, but if they went little smaller on the turbo for faster spool and tuned it for eighth mile they would dominate all day long.

GTR's don't dominate dig racing, they're not bad by any means, but they don't beat a properly setup car running a 10.5. Fastest GTR is the T1 right? Running mid 7 ET. There's rwd small tire guys in the 6's...
Clearly you can't read I said STREET racing were those cars are pedaling for traction the gtr 4 wheel slicks will dominate. Boosted is no were near as fast on the street as he is on the track
