One of my favorite quotes by Elvis is, "To Envy someone brings you down, to admire someone lifts you up, so which is better"? I heard from people who knew him, they said, they never ever heard him say one bad word about another person, that if they asked him about that person, he would always find something to compliment that person about something. Kind of a good standard to live by. I love you, love Elvis.
I love Elvis. I was so poor growing up. Very desperate circumstances. But I was fortunate to hear his voice. It would raise me up from despair. He meant so much to me. Only one person ever touched me more, that is my Jesus. I love Jayys reaction. It's mine too. I'm so glad I found this show. Thank you.
Thank you for expressing your positive feelings for Elvis. You have no idea what this would have meant to Elvis. He asked the question to his Nurse "do you think I will ever be remembered when I am gone?" bless you
This can also relate to his loneliness in life. People always criticised him for many things in his life wearing tacky jumpsuits, which I Loved,RX drug abuse, which if people he was not heathy Glaucoma, hypertension, chronic back pain disc problems n the severe twisted mega colon issues that put strain on the heart ending in heart attack. The drugs started when he served in the Army 2 years n they gave all the guys uppers n downers to keep alert n get some sleep. He came back to America hooked on those drugs n then became lonely with his lifestyle. Thank you for this song. I have not heard this song for years n I haven't heard it played on any other channel but I may b wrong
In between concerts or stints at Las Vegas, he'd quit the drugs... it was the brutal schedule as he aged and should not have had to do so many shows and concerts as he had to do... combined with his dedication and love for his fans which pushed him to give his all and then some... that necessitated the uppers and downers to keep going through the punishing schedule... combined with the heartbreak of losing his family which really sent him in a downward spiral.
Elvis never looked down on another human being. His Mother and Father felt the same way. Elvis just wanted people to be happy. I met him personally and he was the most down to earth you would ever meet.
You are right what you said about how people still judge and accuse others. You understand the message in the lyrics. It is a beautiful song like you said, and it is a powerful song in the message and the music. Elvis sang with the most feelings and emotion. Your reaction is emotional and that's the way it should be.
I love watching your reactions to Elvis! He was a beautiful, generous and talented man! I love watching him perform! Always entertaining and from the heart! His sense of humor is fun to see. ❤ RIP EAP
Elvis NEVER thought he was better than any other human being. He would take up for the unfortunate and definitely preferred to be with people who needed love shown to them.
He has always been the King to me.. because my Mom raised me that way... but when I hear songs like this in this day and age.... WOW... he was amazing.. He had passion and emotion to everything he put his voice to
walk a mile in my shoes//bless you elvis//he is a great guy/he knows hard times/he lived them/he was born so poor/but he never forgot where he came from/elvis will live in our hearts forever/my momma loved him/when i was little she would not let me watch his movies because of the way he danced/my parents were strict with me//years later when i was able to rent them i called my mom up and said wow momyou were right/his dancing was wild//she laughed//i saw every movie//lol//
I've always known Elvis, but you've given me a look at what I've missed out on for soooo long (i'm 52) so THANK you for this..... I'm off to the record shop as soon as lockdown is over. Cheers again, and keep safe.
Hi Jay. Great Words To Ah Great Song. Lot Of People Don’t Know What It’s Like. Until There in The Same Situation. And Than They Start To Think Differently. Always Like That Song. Has A Powerful Massage. Elvis Did a Live Album. ELVIS ON STAGE 1970. In Vegas. Awesome Album. I Have The Original. 1 Song Elvis Sang. He Said There was ah Beautiful Song That came out Ah Couple of years Ago. It Not My Song. But I Like To Sing it For You Anyway. The Song LET IT ME ME. He Sang This Song With So Much Passion. The Band. The Backup Singers. You’ll Just Have To Check it Out For yourself. Love Your Reaction. You Truly Feel His Music. He was 1 of Ah Kind. Never Be another. Thanks. Please Stay Safe.
I am old yes Elvis generation l saw him live 5 times he was electric when he sang he wanted you to feel what he felt try his gospel how great thou art thank you
Some people just sing a song. When he sings a song you believe it. He relates to human beings not only the words but the vibe he gives off. You hit it with what you said.
A good message song delivered by Elvis...but in this version I believe there is a verse missing...”Now if we spend the day Throwin' stones at one another 'Cause I don't think, 'cause I don't think Or wear my hair the same way you do Well, I may be common people But I'm your brother And when you strike out You're tryin' to hurt me It's hurtin' you, Lord how mercy”
I love Elvis on so many levels, this is one of them, he had the same heart for all people, even at a time when it wasn't popular. Me, born in 69 didn't see all that division. Growing up for me everybody was the same, we are all flesh and blood. But today I am convinced that the dying embers of the past are being rekindled by the political media. Jesus told us that a kingdom that divides itself against its kingdom will not stand. Today in our country it's now everything, whether women against man, strait, against homosexual, prolife, right to choose, socialism, against capitalism or what ever! The politicians through the media is dividing. I for 1 when it comes to any race of people dont see the difference, all one made in the image of God. As a Christian I know heaven will have people of all kindred and tongue, meaning every race and if we have a problem with that in this life, I don't think we will make heaven our home.
That song is very true no one knows whats going on in other people's live, like u say people judge by skin color black, white, asian and if ur homeless or poor or rich, all people get judged.
Girlfriend even though I am overseas..... Always here for ya, all you need to do is just hit me up. Nothing but love for ya and yours. Ever wonder why Old Vets love Elvis ?
Elvis le plus photographie au monde et Hollywood dépasse tous soit acteur ou chanteur il crevé écran Bâ tous les record Amérique c est Elvis le plus beau de toute Amérique
It’s a beautiful message in that song. I used to listen to this song a lot. I think I was 10 or 11 when I first heard it and that line in the song “And there but for the grace of God go you and I” is restated almost every day in my mind. You see all the bad things and places where people are on this earth but you have to think that someone has it even worse. Be thankful and help when you can.
Elvis was such a wonderful soul. And I believe that people who react to his music the way you do, Jayy, are beautiful souls, too :) Considering that there are so many Elvis fans out there, one can say that the world is full of wonderful people :)))
I love that song I haven't known it that long but it just has a deep meaning because it's true no one should judge another person when they don't really know what has gone on in their lives he sings it with so much passion stay safe 👍
Never be ashamed of your tears, they show you have compassion and love in your heart and thats something thats in way too short supply in the world today.
How do you think Elvis felt people used to criticize him for dressing up different and listening to the blues people used to laugh at him a lot in high school he was very shy Humble country boy from Tupelo Mississippi and move to Memphis Tennessee at the age of 12 he had no friends only Friend he had was his mother. Mac Davis wrote the song in ghetto was afraid to sing it cause he didn’t want to offend any one who grew up in the ghetto but Elvis thought it was a beautiful song and he thought he could preach to his generation with his music Elvis wasn’t a perfect man but he did love what he did he love people he love Jesus Christ it’s so cool to see young generations like your self listening to these songs Elvis wasn’t all about all shook up uh huh he was a humble sensitive human that believes that all are god children he didn’t believe in hate Elvis was ways beyond his time
This song is so much more than just a song! If we would all think that way and live that way, i guess there would be more humanity and less envy in the world! ☮ Thanks for reacting to this song!
Some one just got there socks blown off 👍🇨🇦🍁like I did years ago with this song 👍it's a short song and to the point, play this song for and with friends 🍁🇨🇦 subscribed
Elvis wasn't really a message singer early in his career, but he certainly became one later on, I think because of all the strife that was going on in this country then. There's was no Covid or mass shootings to deal with back then, but there was social unrest, the Vietnam War, and assassinations to contend with. Basically the same as today, only the problems were different in the 1960s and early 1970s. It's sad because not much really changes and we don't seem to learn anything from the past ... We still have some of the problems we had back then like racism, and we have a whole new set of problems to deal with too. All I can say is, keep hope alive!
Heard it said Elvis called this "walk a block in my socks"....love his humor. But since he was exponentially more in so many things....an Elvis block is probably equivalent to 1000 miles for the rest of us.
Its very interesting for me how american think and feel abou these elvis songs. i would like to see more of that. but i saw u commented just some songs. dont forget there are more than 800. would like to see that too

God made Elvis . He definitely not from our planet! Lord have mercy what a beautiful man ,soul and heart.
Now you know why he was called the king

Great quote!
If we would all live that way, life would be better for every single person! Thank you! 🌻
Reaction " You'll never walk alone " please please please please thanks 🤗✌️🙏.
That is an awesome standard to live by...
Except Mike Stone and Robert Goulet, I'd imagine...
No But he Shot One tv set After another when there was a Face he didnt like.
It's amazing!! How in sync Elvis was with his band...they followed his movements and his band was like extension of himself👍

You are correct. The army gave all the men speed to keep them awake

Love his story telling Elvis always sent a message in these type of songs
Elvis never looked down on another human being. His Mother and Father felt the same way. Elvis just wanted people to be happy. I met him personally and he was the most down to earth you would ever meet.
The more Elvis you hear the more you understand why they call him the KING !
I wish everyone were like Elvis.
The world could be better
I wish everyone was like Jesus. The king of kings.
@@SteveoGregg True but there can only be one Jesus. Only one perfect man.
Elvis went through so much in his life and he really loved every human being and they were his brothers and sisters. He truly loved his fans.

hi Jay i would like to say i love your humanity and passion keep up the good work!!..
Elvis NEVER thought he was better than any other human being. He would take up for the unfortunate and definitely preferred to be with people who needed love shown to them.
The lyric here that ALWAYS hits home for me is “…but, Brother, there - for the grace of God - go you and I”.
Beautiful reaction.👍👍
He always makes you cry. You are a beautiful lady
This song right here should be resurrected Today! So many, to many self-absorbed people!
He has always been the King to me.. because my Mom raised me that way... but when I hear songs like this in this day and age.... WOW... he was amazing.. He had passion and emotion to everything he put his voice to
It's true what he sang, pure entertainment he was, awesome song yay 👌😎🤘🎤

Some people just sing a song.
When he sings a song you believe it.
He relates to human beings not only the words
but the vibe he gives off.
You hit it with what you said.
That comes from intimate experience with hardship, struggle and deep personal pain...
The words say it all!
A good message song delivered by Elvis...but in this version I believe there is a verse missing...”Now if we spend the day
Throwin' stones at one another
'Cause I don't think, 'cause I don't think
Or wear my hair the same way you do
Well, I may be common people
But I'm your brother
And when you strike out
You're tryin' to hurt me
It's hurtin' you, Lord how mercy”
Correct 👍👌
This is right, a verse is missing.
He dropped the 3rd verse for this engagement, the whole song is available on the "On Stage" album
