Actually Lisa and her members were trained more difficult, harshly and were never given a rest. I'm glad Lisa was nice to these trainees.

Because kpop companies are like bootcamp which tries to break trainees down, so that when they get their schedules after debut, it won't seem as bad. Rosé sounds like a self-taught vocalist and Jennie has sang off-key a few times (e.g her cover of 'Best Part'. So we know that YG is not giving enough vocal and musical training.
So why is it so harsh? Because kpop training is to build 'discipline'. However, Lisa is there to help them with dance skills and not to traumatise them like kpop companies
The things is that Lisa was trained in even harsher environment when she was 14+ year old without knowing any Korean (at that time). Many of these trainees are even older then Lisa now, they are adults and was trained prior to this show (most of them). People who thought she was mean are not sensitive, they just trying to find anything to bring down Lisa and Balckpink. That's a bottom line. Some of the trainees that received constructive criticism from Lisa progressed a lot in the show, like Snow Kong for example. She thanked her many times and even chose Lisa's team. Many trainees admitted that her classes are scary, but mostly pointed out constant repetition ("one more time") and dance battles. She was tough but not mean.
This year we will see how Lisa will mentor boys, so she might be tougher than before. We better be ready, because haters will jump as soon as show airs.
This video was reviewed by some professional performers and dancers and they only have high praises for Lisa because of her professionalism and her constructive criticisms. And that she really understands her craft.

@@teenyt1702 I kinda wish mentors and pd had their impact on voting. It was pure popularity contest. Lisa was so happy for K Lu in the final, and maybe thought that she would not debut because of popularity. Besides, Lisa wasn't always satisfied with center positions, but could not change that aspect and it sometimes affected performances.
Knowing that her bashers not even watching the show. The reason why lisa was super strict on other trainees because she saw the changes (from A class they're getting into low grades, some not even progress). For some people, they might not understand that this is a survival show not some academy where trainer are patiently waiting for your grow, so all of the trainees know how though the competition.
@@Ro-in1sf yes she showed very good attention to such details. Like she immediately noticed that Snow Kong was not confident, that Kiki did not show true center qualities before the first performance, or that some teams did not give enough effort. They are practicing choreos before showing it to Lisa, of course she will be strict seeing mistakes during easier parts of choreos.
So the show Lisa was a mentor on is called Youth With You in China - it takes 100 trainees and through a series of competitions, takes the most highest-voted 9 and turns them into a group. Lisa served as a dance mentor in this season (season 2), which was all women. She will be the dance mentor again for Youth With You season 3, which starts this February 18th and features 100 male trainees instead

The show is called "Youth With You" its a Chinese survival show that takes trainees with potential to be a girl group. Lisa is one of the judges/mentors along with 3 others.

Lisa is cosidered the best female kpop dancer and she's very popular in China, so the producers asked for her and YG sent her to china that time. There is a competition in that show once between the mentors(not too sure) and each mentor has to gather trainees and perform a song.Since of COVID Lisa wasn’t there she sent gifts 🎁 to her team

This Youth With You (2nd season) is chinese SURVIVAL SHOW where contestants are voted to be top 9 to be able to debut under 1 group. I think it's voting based too. As the industry isn't for the fain-hearted, it's important to whittle down those that aren't fit/strong enough. Thus why I can understand the 'tough love' way of teaching for this case.
PS: that excited girl that wanna sit next to Lisa and said "mai mee tang ka" (I don't have money), Esther Yu, is apparently second-gen. conglomerate. So I can't help but find it hillarious when she said it. She is charming though, and people can't help but love her personality.
Lisa was mentor on youth with you 2, its like Chinese version of the producer, she was the dance mentor, lisa is strict because most of this trainee is not new in the industry, some of them debut and have career in music, at the end top 9 people out of more than 100 was chosen to become girl group The9 and Most of lisa student made into the9.
This year youth with you 3 china choose Lisa again to be their dance mentor. So hopefully we gonna see more of lisa this year

The show is a survival show called Youth With You. 109 girls, 4 mentors(singing, rapping, and dance) training, practice, performances, and eliminations culminating in a 9 member Chinese girl group all in a matter of 3-4 months. That was season 2 and I believe Lisa has already been filming season 3 this time with boys. Yes, Lisa has gotten a reputation as a strict mentor but it’s only for the good of the trainees. They literally have a short time frame and are trying to avoid being sent home. So glad you guys seemed to understand that. Recently saw a reaction by some of your fellow Brits and they straight up called her toxic and the C word. Believe that?!So many people try to explain it to them but they were the ones who were toxic. Sorry, just glad you guys aren’t that way! If you have time I do suggest checking out Yourh With You. Really good plus bonus of having Lisa in it!

As far as reality show goes, here are some good ones.
Besides Youth with You, Lisa was on RealMen300 when she’s in military training with soldiers and a few other celebrities for a week. She was on 3 episodes. She’s funny and there were many touching moments. It’s avail on TH-cam. Not many youtubers have reviewed it.
Rosé was on King of the Mask Singer when she’s a rookie (before her voice became globally recognizable.)
Adorable Jennie (not savage Jennie) was on Village Survival and Running Men (once by herself and once with BlackPink).
Jisoo was recently on a cooking show. I think it’s called Kitchen Rendezvous.
Of course, the group also went on Knowing Bros (episode 251) last year. Was one of the biggest hits for the show, especially on TH-cam. They also have their own shows: Blackpink house, 24/365. I think you’ll love BlackPink House.

The girl called babymonster an in this was the one Lisa thought was the best. You guys should react to her on the show “the masked dancer,” but she goes by “AN QI” now. And these kids were being mentored by multiple people for the competition... different mentors and stuff.

The fact is that JENNIE, LISA, JISOO and ROSÉ were trained under muuuuch, much stricter rules/people/environment. And for much longer as well. I mean, JENNIE herself was under the YG training for 6 YEARS! The other girls were training at YG for many years as well. YG training is absolutely no joke, it's no wonder the 4 of them are some of the greatest performers nowadays. They were sculpted for it! It's pretty remarkable.
