This scam was so huge , even our school taxi auto uncle got scammed , i was in 11th that time , and this ad of this device was printed on the front page of newspaper
Literally A lot of people ordered it and didn't got anything delivered

Ahh yes the Mythical Object freedom 251 , I remember back in those day clash of clans was very popular game and all my frds said they have pre-order the phone to play it but years passed and no one talked about it . Man what a legendary time that was good old days
Still remember back in 2016 (when I was in class 6 nd had J2 2015 as my primary phone), my brother said about this phone (freedom 251) nd it's specifications nd the price... I was literally in shocked as it's price was just 251 rupees nd ordered 3 of them... They said in their website that they r getting backed by government nd other places nd having zero profit in this, that's how they r able to give at just ₹251 nd that's how it's name got 251 in it... But they never arrived in my home nd later news got released that this was a scammed 😢

i even remember the exact sale date , it was 18th feb 2016, i was all ready to book the phone online for the first time but at 1am my grandfather passed away so i didnt bought the phone as it was a hectic day for me.
This type of videos are kind of some change of taste which is much needed ❤
Moral of the story - If someone is selling products by the name of country and patriotism , to vo Aapka bda vala katne vala hai . Just like micromax 😊.
One of my friends ordered in bulk. Don't remember the exact figure but close to 10-15. He wanted to sell them at a higher price when the website would run out of stock. Of course, not a single unit reached him.

I remember this around February 2016 I was trying to pre-book that phone but I got it pre-book from website. I was so nerd at that time. Finally after some time I got to know they were fooling. Thank you Rakesh sir for this video to let people know who are new to this tech world.

when I heard about it I was crazy about phones but didnt even think of trying to pre-book. I am not saying I was too smart or something but 251 for a phone sounded too fishy and predicted this was going to be a scam.

I vividly remember this one as I ordered two on the day of announcement on their website but yeah it crashed or later on the order was cancelled I don't remember exactly, I was in first year of my engineering and as the hype was crazy I went on to order the infamous freedom 251.

Even though i was just 15 yrs old when this story popped but i knew from the first moment that this was a scam because it was not possible by any means to make a smartphone in less than 1600 rupees at that time .
I still remember that day. I was at school at the launch day, we all gathered at computer lab to buy this phone. 3-4 of my friend was able to book this phone after trying for multiple hours as the website crashed. I was so sad 😅 at that day because I was not able to purchase it. Even many of my teachers bought it. Now I think about the past every time I get to hear about this phone and laugh. 😂😂

I registered for this phone by taking a 3G pack specially, but I didn't receive anything 🤣🤣. At that tender teen age I actually believed that mass production can bring down the cost to ₹251/- . How bhola we were🤣🤣🤣!!

I was in 8th STD at that time after school got over my friends and i were sitting and got the news about this phone and literally everyone in friend list ordered 3 phone and i was one of them and created 3 Google account just to buy this phone. Still laughing while writing this 😆😆
