For this type of water (speed of current, depth where fish are holding) I would use 1/8 oz. spinners. For the seam/pocket that he was working (02:45 - 10:10) , I would cast about 4 ft. upstream and vary my retrieval depending on how fast the spinner sinks. If the fish chase the spinner but aren't striking, I'd switch to a different color. When fishing pockets over 4 ft. and in fast moving water, I use 1/6 - 1/4 oz. spinners. Cast above the pocket, bring the lure into the hole, give it a few seconds to sink, jig the spinner, and then begin my retrieve.
Nice spot! Could you share what size/weight lure are you using? and roughly how far ahead of the sighted fish are you sending the lure?
