- massive apologies for the late upload but we're back and Nick Nitro is back but this time in fallout 4 asking the burning question can you beat fallout 4 with molotovs?

Am I the only one who has a bad habit of rarely using good throwables because of some weird anxiety of needing it at some point, eventually ending the game with like 50+ grenades and fire bombs

And im the idiot that tosses them bc there there, like tossing a nuka grenade at a radroach
maybe, i started new on ps4 and made a, ofcourse, sniper build(i dont make stealth archers in skyrim, but always a sniper in fallout 4) that now uses freeze mines and grenades, so even if they survive, my enemies can´t run away before i shoot them in the head.
I always end up with like 30lbs worth of molotovs until I finally just put a shit ton into the workshop to “use later” but I never do.
Imagine being in the vault and seeing Nick Nitro frozen in ice. Thats a jumpscare.
that's either really good or really bad as no more raider problems but same could apply to the person seeing him lmao could see a venture bros episode from this :D

Runs that restrict you to a specific weapon are always a fun watch. Using only something like the broadsider or traps (bear trap/caltrops) could be neat to try out for a run.
that would be hilarous with a broadsider, getting it would be a challenge but really fun :D
@@InsaneFrame Need to make sure to dress the character up like a pirate and to also talk like one during it. at least to whatever is a tolerable extent
You can quietly stealth kill people by reverse-pickpocketing them, putting poisoned caltrops in their inventories.

The bloody mess effect can get videos on yt age locked, just so you know bro also there is a mod to stop them from exploding but doesnt remove the effects of the perk

so fun fact fallout 4 has no level or special cap, and in fact if your under a special debulf you cna use the your special book to raoise a stat to 11, get the bobble head and now its 12. Ifyou hold off on bobble heads until a special is at 10 from leveling you can now have flush 11 across the board and +1 from your special means ones can be at 12. Use this knowledge however you like
i don’t know if you explained this in the video since i just started it, but luck seemed like a waste of points since luck in fallout 4 is useless without vats, i can understand luck 5 for idiot savant but not 8
it was a reference to nick nitro in new vegas but yeah with grenades its kinda meh
Some of the higher luck perks are really fun though.
Combined with high agility and you can get an interesting playthrough.
Luck subtly effects a couple of things in game, you passively find more caps and ammo with higher luck just as an example
I’m doing a melee/explosives only run, and I feel blessed I got a gun with Deadeye on it. It’s great for slowing things down to line up a Molotov. Or sneak out from around a corner and throw one without being seen. Seriously, Deadeye is insane for this run, especially getting into blink/Molotov range unnoticed. I swear, the AI can’t see you while the Deadeye effect is active. I’m on survival difficulty, and by using Deadeye a lot, I’m able to accomplish twice as much before I’m so tired that I must rest or else. And the parkour/jumps are incredible, bc “slows time” literally means you have super speed. When the masses are salivating over an explosive Minigun or shotgun, I’m over here saying Deadeye is hands down the best legendary effect. The kind of moment to moment utility it offers is simply extraordinary.
I'm surprised you went so high into luck for this build, given the whole "can't use VATS" thing and Luck is mostly vats perks. The levelups and the bloody mess grab make sense but beyond that surprised me just for ricochet. Then I understood it was for the meme, lol.

Luck also helps in defending self with things like extra loot reflecting bullets ect
So... I dunno if this breaks the run but If you want to get in DC as fast as possible I'm pretty sure you can SMACK piper and the door starts opening immediately.

That's worth doing whether the door opens or not. Daily Occurrences is the 23rd century equivalent of CNN.
You don't have to follow Dogmeat all the way to Fort Hagen. Once Dogmeat begins to show the trail you can just run straight there and wait an hour at the front door. Dogmeat will show up and you'll ask Dogmeat "is this the place?"
Once you find the secret room and discuss it with Nick you can just go there of your own accord so no need for dogmeat if you so choose of course

Where did you get the ingredients from for all those molotovs? Adhesive is easy, but you needed hundreds and hundreds of units of oil, which is not easy. You can make cutting fluid, but you need vast amounts of bone for that.
oh my.... honestly it took about in real time 15 hours to get the oil alone Carla has shipments of oil but even then..... you need the caps and it took a while the challenge itself took 50 hours my longest thus far

It was so good in new vegas but also very powerful as you could throw multiple grenades in VATS so understandable why they took it out

Nice to get to see what choices are made regarding perks and equipment etc. And I like the fact that you are building up your character and farming etc. Usually these kind of runs on youtube are so barebones where the player only goes for the bare minimum. Disagreed with some perk choices but all in all a very good video.

@@InsaneFrame One way to mitigate the amount of time wasted on farming caps could be to put as many of the big water purifiers as possible in Sanctuary. Of course this also would imply you need to waste a lot of time on getting the perks and material..And I use a mod that increases how much electricity you gain from generators (the base game values are just..agonizingly low). I don't know if the time and resources wasted would justify it, but when everything is set up, the amount of purified water you gain is great for healing and trading.
Edit: Sorry, I was reading comments and I meant to put this one on another comment where you talked about how long it took you to get all the oil. Also, loving your videos!
Don’t take toughness just get better armor, also the dense mod is the best misc mod for the chest piece. It makes explosive damage nonexistent. And none of the enemies have this mod on their armor.

I love and hate molotovs in Fallout 4; they’re so unbelievably strong at the beginning for enemies to use, including Survival mode. I’ve had more than my fair share of resets due to some dipshit throwing a Molotov point blank, killing us both. Even at a distance, the little indicator you get is never enough time to get out of the way
Nice thing is you can set up a production line.

Hey do you guys think we should let people use the one mod that lets you skip the intro?
So one thing you may have missed which could be useful in other runs: In the Molerat Cave by the red Rocket station is a fusion core
with the 3 you can get in the robotics disposal ground and the nearby set of partial power armor, plus the one in the museum of freedom basement, you can get a solid power armor very early game providing you get the god roll on the partil power armor with all of the peices that are near breaking on the museum of freedom power armor.
The song set the world on fire became a reality XD

Can you beat it as the Mechanist? Tesla gun, robots, and multiple followers.
I never bother with throwables in New Vegas/Fo3 because you have to switch out the main weapon for throwables which rarely finished off the target and switching back to a weapon from it was a pain. But in 4 I use them all the time, by far the worst to use is molotovs. Half the time they break on some object right in front of you, it seems the hitbox on molotovs is bigger than with grenades in 4.
For stuff where it melts people plz use cross crits because it makes the kills cool
I might actually try this one but make it harder on myself by only using pulse grenades.

Can you try this challenge run out “can I beat fallout 4 with only the furious power fist.” Pleas? I know you have to kill swan first so in order to do that you can use the armor from the crashed vertibird (I think I spelled that right.) and just punch swan to death. Then just no other weapon for the rest of the run. Only one other person has done this run and they’re very quiet. And they didn’t upgrade it at all so none of the fun stuff. So I really want to see how you do this.

the molotoves are weirdly pristine, like someone went back in time, took some alcohol, put a rag in it, went back to the present, to duplicate them and shove them in raiders pockets

If you shoot or punch piper while she is doing that long ass dialogue out front of diamond city then you sheath your weapon it skips the Dialogue and opens the door

Molotovs are a really good weapon. They do a decent amount of damage and give a wide area of effect due to fire damage. They also have fairly low crafting requirements.

I remember showing my friend my fallout 4 playthrough and he suggested I get a mod to allow you to put ballistic weave into it to make it more useful, I pointed out that if Kent survived the mission he can upgrade the suit for you after reaching certain levels and he was baffled because he didn't know that
