To me they were the modern day supremes when Michelle came in the group. Her voice was light and lyric like Diana Ross, Beyoncé’s voice was the most powerful like Florence, and Kelly’s falsetto and harmonics kept the song together like mary Wilson.
Yea it is. She’s my fav. Michelle didn’t even sing her entire verse, they cut her so short :( if u listen to the version that was on the album / in the music video.
Right and ppl talk about they only hear beyonce in the chorus when these ladies can clearly project their voices to blend like one another's they're just that good Proof right here lol. Great job ladies!! They all slayed.
Tyler Carter Those who are not musically inclined will never appreciate the harmonies and background vocals. I can't believe some people actually think Michelle can't sing just because she didn't have a lot of solo parts. LOL
Kelly really was the backbone of this group. The way she kept the harmonies together throughout without doing too much or too little. Everyone in this group knew their role and executed it to perfection.
@@gbk2006In this song, I particularly liked Michelle Williams' voice, she has a gospel voice, soft as an angel's and restful ... What I also appreciated was the fact that, apart from Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland, Michelle is the only member of Destiny's Child to have been allowed to express her talents in the true sense of the word; she got verses to sing in Destiny's Child's official songs and live concerts, and in the last few albums, she frankly had the best solo parts to sing ... In the group, Michelle wasn't just a dancer and backup singer, as was unfortunately the case for LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett, two former founding members of Destiny's Child ...

I wish people would stop saying that. No shade, tenor is a term only referring to male singers. Just like soprano and alto are terms to describe female singers. Women do not sing tenor
@@JLPerryTV there are always anomalies. You have males who can sing alto and you do have females who can sing tenor. However the term is being used to refer to a three part harmony and so Michelle is singing the part that a tenor would sing that’s all.

I love the studio version, but if that sounded like this, it sound more amazing! Beyonce and Kelly harmonize in the chorus of the studio version, but Kelly and Michelle sounded really beautiful doing it here! the fact that all they had as physical instruments was a guitar made this performance even better. The fact that these 3 Ladies needed little to no instruments and still draw you in with just their voices and emotions is what is missing in music today. I miss the genre of R&B.

Lamar Washington well the studio version is clearly just Beyoncé
Now most girl groups can't sing live without sounding forced. Kelly was always my girl, they were all effortlessly talented.
