i have run in them, and done various gym activities, and have had no problems with falling off or coming loose. my experience has shown these are the best fitting for activities.
@Cappelsin I went for a run today, through the neighborhood, 45 minutes, at about 10 min per mile. I also did some 1/10 mile, 8 min per mile, sprint intervals throughout the run. The W Series stayed firm and stable and never once felt loose or wobbly. At times I forget it was there. And changing tracks during the run is a quick thumb to the ear, forward or back shifting. (Thanks for the question. If not for you I wouldn't have run today!)
@Cbr79er I like that the NW-s205F has FM radio. Not since my old Rio Cali have I had the pleasure of an MP3 player with FM radio. Should be standard on all players by now.
@TheBerylGreen Great question. I think glasses might be a problem, seeing as how these go over and around your ears. But, later when I get a chance, I'll try it out and get back to you.
@bertiejr The rubber thing that connects the two earpieces and that goes behind your neck is quite flexible and pliable and should allow for any head size or neck size. When I wear the Sony I feel the earbuds but the rubber thing I don't feel at all. And i have a large head.
@TheBerylGreen I just put them on - Headphones on first, then sunglasses on first. Either way, they did not interfere with each other at all! No problem! I would imagine it would be no different with eyeglasses. Go for it!
i'm not familiar with the newer sony models, but it appears that recent wireless headsets, whether mp3 or bluetooth, have gotten smaller. thanks for watching!
i have one now, and they're really good! the only complaint i have is that you need a computer to charge it as it only charges via usb. not very cool if you're gonna travel for a few days and plan to just leave your laptop at home.
@Cbr79er I'll look into Koss. Never heard of them. But, one thing is for sure, wireless is where it's at. After the last couple years of being wireless, whether Bluetooth, or integrated MP3, I've really enjoyed wireless. You see my Jaybird SB1 review? It's old, but I still use it. Only thing is you have to keep your phone with you.
the newer models don't look like big bluetooth headsets on your ears do they? they're currently making a new model and im just curious since this sounded good to work out with, thanks!
@PhilipDK5800 Thank you. I just checked the Sony site and it seems to be backordered. Maybe they're updating it or something. Looks like Amazon has it. Great reviews on there; 4 1/2 stars out of 5! I just used it today in the gym. Always a pleasure!
haha yes! a very important question! I didn't mention that? that's lame. anyway...the sound for me has always been great. but, i'm not one of these people who likes my music so loud. especially if i'm running outside. i like to be able to hear everything around me. i've had no problems with the sound. sounds great.
@kelasmaire I would just keep trying different size earbuds. and as i mentioned before, once they're on, crank them forward over your ears. it sort of tightens the whole thinkg.
@zanzafighter4hire Based on what the instruction manuel says. Keeping the plastic clip-case on when not in use prevents "magnet leakage", which is apparently possible and probable. What does it mean exactly? Wish I could tell you!
@Cbr79er Yes it's a matter of personal preference. Sometimes I don't touch my player and just leave it in shuffle because at first I already have a playlist of my top songs.
@metadon56 I would write it down if there was a way. There's no 1-10 if that's what you mean. As far as decibels I have no idea. I've had no problems with volume. It sounds great to me. Whether iPod or Pandora, or books on tape; whether in the gym, driving, or on the street - no volume problems. However, there is a new model, the SB2, I believe. I have not experienced the new model. Cheers!
@SalvadorLosAngeles Thanks for the reply, I have 3 USB ports, tried it in all 3 and had the same with all 3, nothing at all happening, The light isn't coming on at all, The cable is built in to the charging station so I can't use another cable :S It worked briefly after i posted this, for about 2 minutes then just went again. I have and ipod touch and a blackberry and am having no issues with those when connecting them to the ports..
@TheJakJenkins does it recognize any other items using that usb port? perhaps you have to reinstall drivers associated with that particular port. is the charge light on the sony coming on when you plug it in? perhaps you have a bad cable. i have recently discoverd my usb cable no longer seems to work. when i use another usb cable it works. let me know what happens...
sorry, i don't have any experience with the w262. but the ones here in this video are great for wearing in the rain or sweating a lot. i wouldn't think they're "water resistant", as in you can submerge them in water, but they should be okay to get quite damp. thanks for watching!
@Cbr79er the nw-s205f looks like it has lots of cool features, but it straps to the arm, which makes it no good for me. if you're accostumed to jogging long distances (i use to run marathons), raising your hand to your head is no big deal. easier than taking a cup of water from a volunteer at roadside!
@cmorebush I believe they claim a 5-6 hour battery life. However, I have only used it for up to 2 hours. But, more exciting, you can get a 90 minute charge when you plug it in for only 3 minutes!
@kelasmaire Make sure you are using the most snug earbuds. Also, what I do, once I have them on, I sort of "crank them" forward, tightening them on my ears. Try and see what works for you. Yes, I run and jump in them. Good luck!
is this adjustable? ie,,,everyone head size is different, so that what is snug around the back of the head and around the ear is different for everyone, is it not? can this thing be bent to adjust or is this unnecessary
sony is demoing them in my gym right now. just deposit an id, (like membership id), and they'd let you borrow it while inside the gym. i tried everything- run fast, lifted weights.. it really fit nicely and never bounced. i ran 5k, so i was really sweaty. and really... the walkman held up nicely. :) i kinda want one now, and which is why i'm online now to look for reviews. and so far, it's been positive as well! also have eyeglasses. no problem
@SATOSHI1987 @SalvadorLosAngeles Hey guys, do you two know how to just replay one song? I tried reading the Operation Guide but it just confused me. Please tell me step by step on how to replay just one song. Cheers.
hi man i want to buy this ones but i ve seen some reviews that if you run with them they wont stay on your ears so can you please tell me if this true or not, i dont want to spend 50 dollars for nothing.
@sissy23 I think we here in the u.s. are lead to believe that west germany was rich and east germany was poor. however, now that the wall has fell, i don't think we know.
@metadon56 not sure how it would do in sauna though, but i did take a warm shower while wearing them several times & it still works! but still...be cautious
I don't wanna carry my expensive android phone to listen music whenever I'm jogging, it's so risky in any ways. This W252 is a good one and I will buy one later because i'm into jogging every day.
@zabakkabou I would say do so at your own discretion. The latest W Series model has an IPX-5 rating - "Protected against low pressure water stream from any angle." Perhaps you can shower with them? Good luck!
@SalvadorLosAngeles i had this 252 this feb,but sad to say last mnth it was defectd with no power anymore, they will rplace it with 262 hopefuly this mnth, but it has no fm,inferior to this was 262 has only 8hrs btry life, whew.hope they will let me choose and agree the 18hr btry life the 162L the tube one even if it is not an water proof anymore.i want the 252 model but they already faced out it.how sad!
@Cbr79er wow I can't believe it, raising your arms is part of exercising. I thought you were jogging? And you're being lazy to put your arms to change a song. You better not exercise baby.
i have run in them, and done various gym activities, and have had no problems with falling off or coming loose. my experience has shown these are the best fitting for activities.

Great review, just ordered mine. Just curious but is it also out of stock everywhere in the US? or is it just here in Denmark.
you're welcome. thank you for watching!

@MrJangky sorry to hear about that. maybe you can pick up a used 252 on ebay? i think every mp3 player should have fm radio.
Thanks for the great review and for the answer about running! You def. helped me to make my mind. Going to buy it soon!
i have one now, and they're really good! the only complaint i have is that you need a computer to charge it as it only charges via usb. not very cool if you're gonna travel for a few days and plan to just leave your laptop at home.
@TheJakJenkins if you can try another cable it might be that, otherwise, hope it's still under warranty!
@Cbr79er I'll look into Koss. Never heard of them. But, one thing is for sure, wireless is where it's at. I just used it today in the gym. Always a pleasure!
thanks for sharing, but what do you mean by "magnet leaking?"
@klimaco360 I've had a good experience with these phones so far. I enjoy the quality. I don't put the sound up too loud though.
thank you for watching! the watch is Nike Triax Fury WR0140-012
haha yes! a very important question! I didn't mention that? that's lame. anyway...the sound for me has always been great. but, i'm not one of these people who likes my music so loud. especially if i'm running outside. i like to be able to hear everything around me. i've had no problems with the sound. sounds great.

@dslim04 i'll look into doing that. don't have it yet. thanks for watching!

@KsiKsu But with the value of the u.s. dollar and the exchage rate isn't that about the same cost?

@SalvadorLosAngeles yeah the one that connects the two earpieces.
i think about 5-6 hours on full charge. thanks for watching!
@Cbr79er the nw-s205f looks like it has lots of cool features, but it straps to the arm, which makes it no good for me. if you're accostumed to jogging long distances (i use to run marathons), raising your hand to your head is no big deal. easier than taking a cup of water from a volunteer at roadside!

is this adjustable? ie,,,everyone head size is different, so that what is snug around the back of the head and around the ear is different for everyone, is it not? can this thing be bent to adjust or is this unnecessary
@stebopign I agree. What you can do is get a wall adapter - USB to 110 Volt (US).
I just saw one on buy.com for about $10. Good luck!
What do you call your watch? Very cool)
i'm frome Russia)
@renoben317 cool. have fun. thanks for watching.
sony is demoing them in my gym right now. just deposit an id, (like membership id), and they'd let you borrow it while inside the gym. i tried everything- run fast, lifted weights.. it really fit nicely and never bounced. i ran 5k, so i was really sweaty. and really... the walkman held up nicely. :)

it's been a great review,thanks !!
Plz , whos the better W252 or W262 ,because i want to bye one
is W252 water resistant ? thanks
@metadon56 Try all the different ear bud sizes. That might affect voulume.
can you buy a new plastic thing if it breaks?
@greeny151 It charges with a usb connection.
@metadon56 Careful! Sony does not advise complete submersion in water. Stick with the rain for now.
Although I'm tempted to try the shower!
@SATOSHI1987 @SalvadorLosAngeles Hey guys, do you two know how to just replay one song? I tried reading the Operation Guide but it just confused me. Please tell me step by step on how to replay just one song. Cheers.
@takeshi882000 no radio. maybe in the next version?
@tellhimme A new plastic thing? You mean what exactly? The plastic thing that connects the two earpieces? I doubt it. But you might consult Sony.
@stebopign Cool! What gym was that?
hi man i want to buy this ones but i ve seen some reviews that if you run with them they wont stay on your ears so can you please tell me if this true or not, i dont want to spend 50 dollars for nothing.
I have plugged this into my laptop but it is not being recognised? It had worked before but now has stopped :S Any suggestions? reply :)

@kelasmaire please share your workout. what are you doing?
Excellent video. Sold it for me. Thank you!
Now, I'm using this, but it's always broken out; I've sent it back to Sony company for 2 times. However, its sound is not bad :D
I don't wanna carry my expensive android phone to listen music whenever I'm jogging, it's so risky in any ways. This W252 is a good one and I will buy one later because i'm into jogging every day.
@Wontondraco Thank you! I appreciate it!
252 and 262 greats for wearing in the rain or sweating a lot, only.
Aren't water resistant. you can not swim in the pool or sea.

@metadon56 That might be pushing it. But let me know if you do!
it was for review purposes only, during a workout with a bag-dummy. and you're an ass, but thanks for watching!

@Cbr79er wow I can't believe it, raising your arms is part of exercising. I thought you were jogging? And you're being lazy to put your arms to change a song. You better not exercise baby.
