Geeze. I wouldn't have given a sibling the time of day if they opened with "Hey stupid!" My first response would have been "Bye moron, don't contact me again". What a rotten person.

Some people just never grow up and all they can do is brag about everything they do. But it's hilarious when they find out the truth and backpedal with flimsy excuses for their behavior. Bet anything that she will end up alone and unliked by the world for her behavior

First off, entry-level first jobs don't pay huge amounts, regardless of whether you have a degree or not.

Carol treats her sister like crap and thinks she's then going to make her vice president. She's told she's fired and thinks that actually means promotion. Just how deep in delusional denial is she?

I was starting to worry about the mom cause for a moment it sounded like she would be like in some stories were the mom lied to save face to the entitled sibling. Turns out she just was nervous to get involved since her kid is a brat & desperately needed a job but I guess in the end it was no use as she had to kick her out of the house.(Given the ending OP had to help)
This sister sure did let her degree go to waste since all she did was laze around & act like it was an excuse to be on her high horse. Now she has to work with high schoolers & given some jobs one of these kids might be her manager. If only the sister had grown up, behaved & actually tried to learn to do her job.

I have 2 evil sisters who act like this even though I have a bachelor's degree in astronomy and a bachelor's degree in planetary science. They're still evil.

Those are two of the coolest degrees I've heard! Also My 2nd daughters name is Jess and loves everything Space! Is in school now for nursing/applied behavior analysis. She wants to work with kids who might need more than normal help.

then you would know if it is theoretically possible to throw an ewok into a lake of liquid methane and see if it would smash into a thousand pieces similar to as if it was dipped in liquid nitrogen? ( a question once asked on QI - a bbc uk tv programme- one of saturns moons was the location for the proposed event)

I just don't understand how these siblings treat each other like that and not know what their siblings do for a living. There's six kids in my family and I know what each and every one of them does for a living. We also don't spend our time together being rude to each other.

it happens guy i never had a single dinner with my sisters that i can recall growing up. but to make clear we had a eating area and cooking area all as one and only 2 people could eat at the same time so like most parents of the 70's and 80's they put me in front of the tv and i was happy. but if anyone messed with me or with them we got each others back. as i told my sister a few days ago we ain't got money but we have each other.

It can happen if one person is so self absorbed they are unaware or in the case of my sister reality is malleable to suit what she wants to see, just ask her

Try growing up with 13 siblings. It's no picnic I can assure you. I had 10 sister's an 3 brothers. An im the 4th youngest. Yet as I was the only one born with health issues. I was ALWAYS called the runt. I didn't know My own name until I went to boarding school aged 6 an my name was called an I didn't know it was mine. An whenever I went home for school holidays. I was treated like Cinderella without the happy ending. I had to clean the skirting boards an bathrooms with a toothbrush. In an 8 bedroomed family home. My dad disowned me when I was 16. Told me he didnt like or love me an to get out of his house. I did. Went to Boston USA. Went to uni an got my 2 doctorates by age 19. Was working self enjoyed from age 14. Bought land an built my own property at 18. An married same year. My siblings never knew or cared what I did as a living. An I never looked back. Being unwanted in My own family. Was normal to me all my first 16yrs. So I made my own family. With hubby & our 3 kids. An now 40 plus years later. We have 3 wonderful grandsons an another due April 2023 lol.

This is similar to the proverb about not looking a gift horse in the mouth. If fortune blesses you its best to stay humble and not become someone who rubs your success in other people's faces, that might JINX it.

I wish one of these characters say on these apple texts respond to these "you can't treat me this was because we're faaamilllyyy" or "We're siblings " the character say where was that family love or commitment to me? That would shut that logic all the way down! Because, my thoughts would be you didn't give a damn about me so why should I give a damn about you? Works everytime with my family! Don't think I owe you shit, because you didn't have the respect or concern about my well-being so I don't care about yours! I'm not sorry nor do I feel guilty!

It is true that many companies don't hire you if you don't have a degree. But my older brother did not finish high school, got a job, and supported the family when my father took early retirement.

A general degree tells HR that you are capable of being taught a job, depending upon the applicant's GPA. More specialized jobs *do* require a strong foundation. I'm not keen on having a doctor or engineer who's only a HS Grad, 'ya know?

More degrees are not worth the paper their written on. For a degree owner who can't tell the difference between fired and promotion. Poor op having such a leech for a sister. She hasn't earnt the degree or loyalty not forgetting hateful.

Depends on the type of degree and the educational facility that issued it.
Is remedial crochet a legitimate degree?
I had a cousin who got a full scholarship...for volleyball.
( that wasn't her actual major though, )

Now if she had a PHD OR A DOCTORATE, MASTER'S degree then maybe she's got a right to brag.
But apparently it was at the community college sis went to

I got a Bachelors degree and they changed the requirements for the job I wanted, I had to get a Masters degree to qualify. After 21 years they eliminated my position and I was reassigned where many of my coworkers had only a high school diploma or ged. They had given my category lower raises so I was at the same pay grade as them, where originally I was at the pay level of a supervisor in the other units.

So many careers that pay big money don’t require a degree. Construction doesn’t require one, electrical work doesn’t require one,and masonry doesn’t require one and these are top industries and career fields that are very important. I know many who had degrees but worked at restaurants and factories.

    • @susanhansen1290

Depends on the degree, if it is for a skilled area, science or technical, it usually pays better and there is more demand for their abilities.

You can have every degree there is, but if you're lazy, entitled and just plain bad at the job, then the degrees aren't worth the paper they're printed on.
