I doubt DIV is in trouble. Not everyone wants super complex. It's always nice to have options though, to satisfy a variety of tastes. I expect PoE 2 will do quite well.
It is far more complex than Diablo. A big part of PoE 1's complexity stems from the fact that they have been adding new content over the course of 12 years. The devs have also stated that they want to make entry easier for new players. That being said, PoE 2 will certainly still be significantly more complex than any Diablo game. If you want to play 30 minutes a day, I suppose the same goes for PoE 2 that goes for Diablo: Finish the campaign and consider the game "beat". But then when I start new char in diablo 4 I don't feel that I have any progression, I find I good item and it can carry me to torment1. I don't do masterworks, tempering, nothing until reach torment1. Its taking away the feeling that I felt my char getting stronger and stronger.
PoE1 you needed to buy a couple packs like the one that included stash tabs or it was worse than d4 on release when you got to end game. Some of those packs cost quite a bit.
I know a couple guys who used spam cash on PoE 1, way more than they did on d4. PoE 1 there is certain packs you need in order to make the game bareable
"i am a casual player" I about choked on my dinner... ROFL.. I dont think you know what a casual player is Rob, and I aint one either.. people that play 1-8 hours a WEEK are casuals..
D4 is totally in trouble. The devs need to get their $h!t together or else D4 is going to definitely die after POE2 comes out. Unlike D4, POE2 shows proper love to us Sorcs.
D4 will be fine and consistently have millions of players each season as they have since the game is good now. The worried ones should be Grim Dawn and Last Epoch. Last Epoch in a major content drought with tons of bugs and no season until, wait for it, Q1 of 2025.... >.>
D4 isn't going anywhere. The only games that need to be worried are ones like Last Epoch that offer nothing that other ARPGs don't do better. Frankly, PoE1 might be the only game that's in real trouble when PoE2 drops because people aren't going to want to go back to PoE1s clunky-ass mechanics once they get a taste of WASD. GGG may have effectively killed PoE1.
@riothegod1831 LMAO 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂🤣😂 over a million players log in a day, monthly active even more. Hahahaha. That's called "millions". Not sure why it hurts so bad, it shouldn't. It's okay that people enjoy it and you don't.
PoE2 may have a lot of stuff but as a very very long time gamer I am totally over games restarting every few months. I never feel committed to my character because they are always temporary. I don't see any point in maxing stuff just so I have to redo the same crap over and over again. I also agree with other people in that PoE is to dark and is not great for these old eyes.
Your stuff does not get deleated tho It's just moved to standard and if that's your preferd way of playing, just create a char there, you only miss out out of the current league mechanic.
If they have leaderboards, then your best effort is saved like d3. This is a huge problem with D4 where u are wasting your time. Not sure if PoE2 will have leaderboards.
It’s basically POE 1.2 not 2. The movement looks stiff. It’s skill tree on top of skill tree with more skills and stat points. It feels like it’s an extension of the POE. Too big, too much to learn. It’s for some and not for others. I will try it, but probably will not continue for the long term.
Because it originally was made as an extension to poe1... combat is actually engaging finally and they simplified a few things while still maintaining the core complexity and flexibility. Keep in mind this is still early access... wait till they fully flesh out the game and then keep in mind no one does better with seasons than GGG, within 2-3 seasons this game will probably have 5x the complexity added
This looks like a heavily updated reskin of PoE. I don't think players who have chosen D4 over PoE for this long are going to change that choice. That atlas update is amazing though so I will definitely try it. It didn't get rid of the things some people don't like about PoE.

Your brain picks up contrast faster and not all of us have cat like reflexes anymore. To add to that most builds have a ton of spell clutter further exacerbating the first issue.
RIP DIABLO
Feels bad for those who spent $40 dollar for a DLC that has no content but just a new class.
I feel even worse for those who think that's what happened and cry about it every day on the internet.
@@Danielr0418 So what you get besides a new OP class? A good new campaign? What about the actual end game content? Don't forget its a DLC.
@@Segfault_ its a DLC with continuous updates to the campaign and endgame content. If you like POE awesome, do you man, it looks pretty cool. But theres no need to hate on people that like Diablo, what does that do for you?
@@2oozedae nah I assure you that you will need to buy another expansion in a year or 2. I “hate” D4 because I spent lots of time last year and Blizzard don’t respect players and they use their players to test the game for them for over a year and it’s still going on. That’s what they get.
@@Segfault_ hey do you man. but if you did buy the expansion, the recent news is that for those who did buy it, the story will continue with more content under that same purchase and lead up to the next expansion next year
If that campaign takes 50 hrs and you have to do all that crap for every league. i thought this was gonna be more casual friendly, it isn't.
To not able to skip campaign is good. You feel the progress, you can learn your builds how they work and getting ready for endgame.
Believe me, I thought skipping campaign is good. But then when I start new char in diablo 4 I don't feel that I have any progression, I find I good item and it can carry me to torment1.
I don't do masterworks, tempering, nothing until reach torment1. Its taking away the feeling that I felt my char getting stronger and stronger.
RIP D4 😂
i hope no pay to win these things kills a game
GGG doesnt do P2W, all the microtransactions are purely cosmetic and dont affect gameplay. They are even shared between PoE1 and 2
They have never had p2w in poe1
Stash tabs?
PoE1 you needed to buy a couple packs like the one that included stash tabs or it was worse than d4 on release when you got to end game. Some of those packs cost quite a bit.
Makes D4 look like childs play
diablo career is dead by the game of the year 🤣🔥
If d4 had a $370 pack you would shave your heads and swear off sx with men .
Only 480 for a 'free game' lol
poe 2 is free so who care about skin pack. D4 you have to buy it, then the expansions
GGG earn their trust while Blizzard keep ruining their reputation with shit tons of bugs that is so easy to test if they really test it.
I know a couple guys who used spam cash on PoE 1, way more than they did on d4. PoE 1 there is certain packs you need in order to make the game bareable
@@Truthseeker-iz3djnah, only stashes for that and those are very cheap
"i am a casual player" I about choked on my dinner... ROFL.. I dont think you know what a casual player is Rob, and I aint one either.. people that play 1-8 hours a WEEK are casuals..
@@CVSiN robs chat is 99% casual they have never killed lillith. He can do carrys for a week straight and not even put a dent in that chat
I’m so scared to play the game which is made in China. Lol and Diablo immortal are gacha games.
big trouble
@@Danielr0418lmfao millions of players 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 d4 daily player count is 1,039,000, not millions. It was millions at launch. Not anymore
@Masterof7s yup this
PoE2 may have a lot of stuff but as a very very long time gamer I am totally over games restarting every few months.
Byebye D4 :-D
You also get $30 worth of tokens to buy from their ingame shop when you buy beta access for $30
Looks really slow. Is this game designed for seniors?
Just say you are a die hard d4 andy 😭
Its an arpg you can build it to have fast movement speed or fast dashes.
Have you seen the monk flicker striking everywhere?
It’s basically POE 1.2 not 2. The movement looks stiff. It’s skill tree on top of skill tree with more skills and stat points. It feels like it’s an extension of the POE. Too big, too much to learn. It’s for some and not for others. I will try it, but probably will not continue for the long term.
WHO ASKED??
@@jordan_goes_in4378 why did you respond?
Because it originally was made as an extension to poe1... combat is actually engaging finally and they simplified a few things while still maintaining the core complexity and flexibility. Keep in mind this is still early access... wait till they fully flesh out the game and then keep in mind no one does better with seasons than GGG, within 2-3 seasons this game will probably have 5x the complexity added
@@bsstyle123 keep what works. The complexity will be interesting. Looks good.
How did you get to that conclusion?
By looking at the video rob watched? Or actually gameplay?
Me want
D4 will be irrelevant in 2 weeks...
This looks like a heavily updated reskin of PoE. I don't think players who have chosen D4 over PoE for this long are going to change that choice. That atlas update is amazing though so I will definitely try it. It didn't get rid of the things some people don't like about PoE.
Define reskin. The gameplay mechanics are completely different. With your logic every arpg is just reskinned diablo 1.
Get rid of what? The only issue people had was combat and complexity... they made the combat amazing and completely dumbed down the game for casuals
Nothing about this game is a reskin, This game seems so much more accessible than PoE 1, I wish it was more like PoE 1 but people would quit in Act 1 if that were the case
