great info! I think it is important to add, that an upcoming artist CAN pay a professional mixing/master engineer a couple of hunnits to elevate their product. it could be a gamechanger

Totally spot on about repackaging. I started out making AI music and was fascinated, so I let AI make the lyrics for 20+ songs until I started noticing the recycled lyrics and patterns, so now I still use AI to make the music, but I write my own lyrics, and if I need samples or sound FX, I stick with royalty-free and public domain ones, or make my own. My first album is 30 tracks of robot gangsta rap, cyberpunk themed. I used the name "Firewall Gang Music", which was actually a name made up by one of my AI voice characters. It went nowhere fast on YT, and I hadn't yet even begun to study all the details and nuances of the industry. I simply uploaded music to YT and that was that. Got like...2 views. So I took it all down, rebranded to Gamahea, a much more unique name that's not found on the web. Score! Now I have 10 subs and NO content uploaded yet. Feels good, man.
Distributors will NOT allow you to distribute entirely AI generated music. I highly suspect this is done in order to help stop bots from making endless crapola to flood the market with.
Makes sense. So if you make AI music as I do, remember that!
Now I've got 7 full albums ready in just 3 months, and 150-200 songs total.
The only ones on my album are either songs that I wrote the lyrics for, or instrumentals that I customized by mixing genres and styles.
With instrumentals, I generally thrown in a few lyrics, even if it's just 1 or 2 words, and have it played as a background sample or instrumental effect that sounds like a voice.
Once you've added your own touch to the song, it's no longer fully AI, and you can make money with it.
Don't try to simply click your way to an instrumental and think you can sell it through a distributor. Read the Terms of Service, none of them will let you sell music that is 100% AI generated.
I had to weed out my collection from 10 albums down to 7, and what I cannot sell thru a distributor (LANDR), I will offer for free listening on my website.
I can't give up now. Some people say good for me, I'm investing in myself, while others tell me I'm going to fail because AI is cheating and doesn't make me a musician, or whatever.
I'm at the very least a songwriter now, having written so many lyrics.
I have no real support network IRL, just on my own with this project, and between Udio costs, buying a domain & website, and other expenses, I'm already $300+ deep in it, so I can't give up and won't until SOMETHING happens. If nothing else, and I end up failing, at least it was all a learning experience!
My website and Udio page are linked in my bio. No content on my website yet, but most of my music is published already on Udio, albeit in lower quality non-mastered form,
in case anyone wants to check it out.

What an amazing time I had listening to you explain this. The one thing we hear from our fans is how much they love our songs and have a hard time getting them out of their head. The love and passion. We feel when creating comes through when the fans confirm it. Thank you! Your content is amazing! All the best. #SidowSobrino

CAN YOU DO A VIDEO ON WHAT OUR SHOW SONGS SHOULD SOUND LIKE? LIKE DO WE JUST SING OVER THE TRACK AS IT IS? OR SHOULD IT ONLY BE BACKGROUND? 🫶🏼🤍💯 BASICALLY WHAT SHOULD WE BE DOING IN OUR SHOWS? BESIDES WALKING BACK AND FORTH 😂
