When you were a teenager, people went to the theaters. Now people stream Netflix, Apple TV etc. Theaters around the country struggle. More films being released straight to streaming services, or very quickly after a theatrical release. How often do you go to the theaters now?😉
Please don’t touch Pucks Alley until I die. The mural inside is the last vestige of a time gone by where rail construction was mocked as view of big government bullying their way over the environment. The mural frame has termite damage but it helps to give the mural its rustic and historic status as glimpse of sliced back to the 70s.
Forget the fact that Kam Schools allowed the property to fall into blight 20+ years ago but NOW, they all excited about the opportunity to up the rents and bring in overpriced retail. Kam Schools . . Hawaii's biggest slumlord!
More corporate gentrification in a old community ya, but it will just be an expansion from where the new student housing and raisen cains chicken already is it will look like that but, not just one building, the whole block. they coming for all of king st soon.
remember, best way to fail these projects is to not go :) they almost always build these places at a loss and then expect returns off of exploiting renters and income.
I think they should make a theaters since the old Varsity Theatre’s closed! I remember going there as a teenager

@ you have a point! The theaters now have a hard time attracting customers! 👍
