Yes jez, greay video! love a bit of portable, good to chat today on the repeater. Lots you can try with that loop, remember they are directional so working local stations on verticals can be tricky, you can try rotating it as some stations might be in the null... for DX it's a lot easier and if you can hear it you'll probably be able to work it. Don't go above 10W as the voltage is over 100V and it can arc the capacitor and its game over! We should try doing local, loop to loop on a quiet band, maybe 6M or 15M SSB.

Could you use one of these (or the wonder wand/miracle whip etc) on a homemade loft dipole? or with a trt bazooka? I'm just getting back into cb after 30 years, and am looking at a cheap, basic setup to get out. I can't fix an antenna outside so will be using my loft or window sill. I'm trying to decide between (a) a loft dipole (eBay, homemade), (b) a wonderwand loop with the counterpoise, (c) 6band Magnetic Loop (UK made, eBay 110quid) Can these tuneable antennas be used in conjunction with say a loft dipole instead of a random piece of wire/the wire loop? Any advice appreciated. Thanks for these vids 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
No it’s a separate antenna your best best bet is to use a t2lt or a dipole . You could use the antenna on Cb not sure how it would preform not tried mine on Cb
klc8000 from the USA I have the whizz loop V2, and it works like gangbusters with me Yaesu FT-817ND on 20 meters and 40 meters have made contacts from the USA to England using 5 watts works real good. 73 guys awesome video.
Sirio silver megawatt is a 6ft antenna 🤷 how can you compare ?? Not a like for like test.. unfair. ALSO the sirio is an 11 meter antenna, try tuning that into 40m ..it just won't happen, stick to channel 19 🙄

So this antenna can be used with any other radio apart from 817 and 818, like 857D or 891 ... just need to remember the max power output?? thnx
Yes it should work on other radios just turn the power down
just bought one of those but only used it for monitoring
yes it works great for receiving as soon as the bands conditions get better ill do some more with the antenna
