    Your cattle are so beautiful and healthy. I like how at peace they are with you. Poor beautiful bull. That's what he gets for doing his job well. I do understand why you need to sell him. He looks about three times the size of your Jersey but she's still walking around unbroken! She looks great, too. I can't wait to see what that cross looks like. Whatever kind of grass you have surely agrees with bovines. Thank you for caring about the quality of life for your quail. They used to run from you and now it doesn't bother them when you're in the cage. Maybe you should change your name to Peaceful Valley Homestead. 😉

    Thank you Lord for keeping everyone safe! That's too bad about the duck hut, but glad that there's available material still there. I'm excited about the quail hoop coop. I'm going to start raising quail again as soon as disability backpay comes. God has been answering my questions so boldly on my "mission", and your hoop coop build was one of them!🤗 I was planning on just having them in my garden shed, it's a 16x12? in dbl stacked pens to start but I wasn't happy about doing it that way, I want happy birds. I'm going to have to to start, but they should only be in there till spring, so that has worked itself out for winter. *another blessing in disguise❤‍🔥But I just didn't have quite enough space for the number of birds I needed to start. Then literally the next day there was your video straight at the top of my TH-cam homepage lol! (These kind of things have been crazy, like wow crazy.🙏) I have the perfect spot beside my shed, I had considered putting one there but no idea of what , or if I even could on the strict budget I have, the video was a godsend. I've been researching everything quail since january. Last time I raised them I just did a batch off 114eggs (86h) & sold them at 7/8 weeks at auction. Just for fun & to see what they were like. Now i'm business. I could tell you my whole story but for now haha...all I wanted was to let you know you had a gimpy quail (in case you didn't notice her) she's in the video and comes up to the feeder to the left of kevin (his right). In case you wanna check her out, I know I would lol, hope it's nothing.🙂 Thank you for sharing these videos, I learn so much from you guys! Hope you're having a great week! *bye

    Morning! Right idea with the paracord, but there is a better way to anchor the coops. We have done this here in Florida and it works! You want to tie your cord at the base of the anchor, and then cross it over to the opposite side, making an X across the coop. So far, outs has made it though 2 hurricanes, and we only got 1 tear in the plastic and that was from a tree branch, not the wind. It's actually neat and yikes to watch the wind lift up the plastic, but the X holds it in place during the gusts. Ours is much bigger, so we have 3-X's across ours.

    • @mynutshellmail
      @mynutshellmail ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I copied his plan for the hoop coop some time back and anchored it with 4 T-posts. Using heavy duty cord, I tied it down across both ends adding the X pattern on top. Using the A(left) and B(right) for the front posts then C(l) and D(r) for the back posts, the tying pattern is A-B-C-D-A. So far, no problems, even though we have high winds often. 😊

    You know that same storm ripped through our property too. We are in the midlands of SC. My children were outside getting their afternoon chores done when that wind picked up. My 14 yr old daughter came in the house because she was afraid. I told her she could wait till the wind died down but she would probably get rained on. She decided to endure the wind instead of the rain. While she was out there she said a prayer to God asking him to help her with her fear. As soon as she ended her prayer she looked up and seen her slightly younger brother running to help her finish her chores❤ What a wonderful testimony.
    The storm did just come out of nowhere though. I am so thankful that I had prepared my animal shelters for the hurricane the prior week. I too was going to buy those ground anchors but I was afraid that my soil is too sandy and they would hold. So I put tpost in as well and then zip tied them to the coops. That wind didn't move them coops😊
