Everyone has something to say and here is my part: Long story short, I've sunk into a deep state of depression over the past few months. The efforts of friends, family, psychiatrists, and even myself to reach through my shroud of cold indifference had all failed. I couldn't find emotion in anything. Then I heard this song. It was the first thing to truly touch me in longer than I care to remember. I cried for 2 hours after the song ended. So thank you for this Mr. Einaudi. You've saved me.

A world without this music in it, is like a body without a soul. It's like he and the piano are talking to me, and to you, to themselves and also to each other. These notes are just as intricate, just as beautiful, as colours on a canvas, as an author's scrawl in the pages of a book. They tell a story, one of deep emotions, felt not in the body but the heart. I cannot put into earthly language how I feel right now, yet Einaudi does it perfectly. Thank you.

Ludovico! you can't do that to us Humans. Honestly , he destroys the strongest of men by his music! Tears always stream from my eyes. Even when it's my thousandth time to listen to it. I flashback to all the events of my life. Beautiful is an understatement.Ironically that statement itself cannot describe the beauty in this piece of music...

Ahhh but the painter with only four colors that creates master pieces is all the more to be praised. As a 43 year veteran of playing the piano I have learned how to milk each chord to it's full potential for it's like a master chef getting by on a limited amount of ingredients but still being able to produce something pronominal and that my friend takes skill. Peace.

This is what music should be about, music that makes you feel, you can see the passion in his face as he plays and just know that, unlike the majority modern pop musicians, he doesn't give a shit about how much money that piece of music will make him. Musicians that care about the music rather than the money are the true geniuses.

Master Ludovico Einaudi's contribution of beauty and emotion rendered in the light of sound. Impossible to describe in words because it's coming from the infinitude of the Soul. It's something that only can be known but not described, and especially not by one listener, but only the whole.

From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it's different. Consider again that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there - on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that in glory and triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner. How frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity - in all this vastness - there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known, so far, to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment, the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.

Sei stato presente musicalmente alla nascita di mio figlio, sei stato presentato musicalmente alla scomparsa di una persona a me vicina.. Ti voglio bene, amo il tuo tocco musicale. Sei stato un buon maestro di vita a livello musicale. i know what its like, i'm 17 and none of my friends, or anyone i know appreciates musicians such as Einaudi, i suppose it takes maturity to truly Feel music. And i for one, like that i'm more mature than my peers and can listen to masterpieces.

Liking a type of music has nothing to do with maturity. Bragging about your music "superiority" on the internet to strangers just screams insecurity. There is no such thing as "mature music" just something called personal preference. If an 8 year old likes Beethoven go right ahead, if a 50 year old likes Cardi B go ahead, who tf cares what you listen to.

To all the people talking about how they are young and people in thier age group dont know about Einaudi, I am 26 & I have been listening to his fantastic work for 6-7 years still yet to meet somone how knows of him. Hint, if you at a club and a hit girl comes and starts talking to you, unless you want her to go away dont mention you listen to him....

What I love most about your music, it is perfect for literally everything.
It is perfect to work concentrated, without getting exhausted. It is perfect, when you need a break and you can listen to this calm and relaxing music, bringing you somewhere else instantly, if you focus on it. It is prefect to drive calmly and relaxed.
And it is perfect, when you just need to listen to some relaxing, and wonderful music, that is able to break your shells open and touch your soul.
You really created masterpieces. So much feel, so much emotion, so calm and relaxing, while making you think and at the same time quieting your mind. Truly wonderful, thank you. :)

to se e so many positive reactions to this.. hurts my heart..
there is so much good in this world and we only focus on the bad..and we ask ourselves why, just one word..why?

Saw him live last year, not in England but he was breath-taking amazing and such a beautiful concert to witness. If he ever comes to your area - go see him! He and the piano connect in a way that myself as a fellow pianist wish I could achieve each and every time I play. (He also signed my CD and book :D)

I saw him last night in Washington, DC. No words. He didn't play this, but there's no complaining.
Afterward, I asked him if I could have a picture...and he said no... :(
