"Nadabrahma" OSHO healing meditation

  • Nadabrahma is the humming meditation - through humming and hand movements conflicting parts of you start falling in tune, and you bring harmony to your whole being. Then, with body and mind totally together, you “slip out of their hold” and become a witness to both. This watching from the outside is what brings peace, silence and bliss.
    “So in Nadabrahma, remember this: let the body and mind be totally together, but remember that you have to become a witness. Get out of them, easily, slowly, from the back door, with no fight, with no struggle.” Osho

    Instructions:
    The meditation lasts an hour, and there are three stages. Your eyes remain closed throughout.
    First Stage: 30 minutes
    Sit in a relaxed position with eyes closed and lips together. Start humming, loudly enough to be heard by others and create a vibration throughout your body. You can visualize a hollow tube or an empty vessel, filled only with the vibrations of the humming. A point will come when the humming continues by itself and you become the listener. There is no special breathing and you can alter the pitch or move your body smoothly and slowly if you feel it.
    Second Stage: 15 minutes
    The second stage is divided into two 7½ minute sections. For the first half move the hands, palms up, in an outward circular motion. Starting at the navel, both hands move forwards and then divide to make two large circles mirroring each other left and right. The movement should be so slow that at times there will appear to be no movement at all. Feel that you are giving energy outwards to the universe.
    After 7½ minutes turn the hands, palms down, and start moving them in the opposite direction. Now the hands will come together towards the navel and divide outwards to the sides of the body. Feel that you are taking energy in. As in the first stage, don’t inhibit any soft, slow movements of the rest of your body.
    Third Stage: 15 minutes
    Now stop the hand movement and just sit relaxed.

    I was addicted past 30 years...came out of addiction of tobacco by my own hard will...after which I had a severe neurological problems....my full nervous system was actually working but body had a severe numbness in which a human body is hard to sustain. I m practicing oshos meditation past 3 months of lock down....beleive me guys ...I m coming out alive every days...it's like ....I had some much more than medicine by which I m coming to life. All the doctors of all part of country has done their part of duty ....this was the bestest part of the medicine. Love osho

    After years of meditation I still come back to Osho’s practices. This is the best way I found to guide the energy through the throat chakra.

    Thank you. I am suffering from Arthritis pain, practicing for whole period, felt relief in pain and felt good. I suggest for friends to use fir healing too.

    I did this meditation first time it was unique experience im new bee in meditation . This meditation gave me different kind of experience it was nice powerful I was getting lil difficulty to sit straight for hour the reason it got up and down very different types of sensations on face as if eye muscles were getting massage if the vibrations are strong I felt my eyes are getting inside I was feeling very strong vibes it was lil scary because the vibrations near face were tremendous . I could hear the sound like helicopter wings near throat area after 30 min first 15min were up and down due to pain and sitting posture it was good overall another 15 min quite fine last 15min pain was much still did some small move and adjusted it was nice . I don't know but later in eve when I did isha kriya I got same vibes how is this possible ? Muscles near eyes sometimes goes out of control which disturbs the meditation Focus

    This is NOT the original Nadabrahma meditation music. Osho advised specifically to NOT change the meditation music.

    Feeling relaxed and calm...Monkey mind stopped...Blah...Blah...But after completion of meditation there is sound still in my head and ears...like Sing.. Suing sing suing sing sing.. Can you suggest?

      Namaste! Thank you for your comment, I used music which I got from one of the Swamiji in Osho Ganga Dham in India. I do not believe that it's original, but I heard it was being used a few times in ashram :) I think that original music can be found in one of the official OSHO web sites.

      Thisnis not the original music. That's copyrighted. But this is very powerful music too. I prefer it to the original.

    Hi, does meditation cause physiological changes in the body?
    1. The first day I meditated to Naad Brahma, I didn't eat for 9 hours post breakfast.
    2. And on a regular basis, feeling quite gastric the last 2 weeks, since I started meditating on a regular basis.
    3. I am also sleeping alot more than I have ever. Almost 14 hours sometimes.
    Is this to be expected?

      karampal sharma this particular meditation would not be dangerous. I’d we would talk about Dynamic OSHO meditation, then yes, I’d say it could be overwhelming for some people.
