I remembered my mom was so much like Christina. She had a ruptured appendicitis, got operated, and after one day of full rest, she was back on her feet, working in her ward, helping around with the nurses on duty and the doctors were like 'seriously?'.. 😅

Christina is right. People often with Munchausen syndrome go the extreme to get the attention they seek. When everything else doesn't add up. It is so they can get the meds the want and not what they need. I grew up with a family member who did this to themselves.
I'm so different from cristina, if i was allowed to be in bed all day i'd be abusing that power so much. But i do understand she is trying to do the thing that she loves, but still.
She fully deserves to be treated that way ! She reminds me of my mom 😠 example : when i was 25, she visited the jail i worked at. When we arrived at the main entrace, she told me : you gonna have to show your ID. I already had worked 2 weeks there 😠

Maybe they are just like that, but deep inside they love each other. You can see that in cristina-it's just that the way her mother care for her is somehow very suffocating and embarrassing cristina towards her friends which I think she's the only one who thinks that. But her mother loves her so well and so is cristina it's just how old children react to their moms haha
I don't think she's dismissive at all. The show indicates Izzie is a BLEEDING HEART (oops bad pun not intended) for patients, including mental health. I DO think that she was skeptical because Munchausen's is not a very common condition, so she was hesitant to readily accept such a diagnosis. Btw, mental health diagnoses are re-evaluated all the time. I worked in an office that oversaw claims for children taking antipsychotics; diagnoses can sometimes change from provider to provider and sometimes month to month. It's not necessarily being dismissive, it's being cautious.
Why, oh why in this show all the mothers seem to be freaks and the daughters have bad relationships with them. After a while I didnt care for the show anymore.
