Hi, fitted a full electrexworld kit to my BSA unit twin. Where do you mount the CDI unit? I've had no problem mounting the coil and the regulator, but I've run out of ideas as to where to fit it. Any ideas greatly appreciated
Don't you mean TDC on the firing stroke? Induction, compression, power exhaust! I'm installing this on my 66 Triumph Bobber. I live 30 miles from Electrex World so drive over to pick up my stuff. Cheers from UK.
Wasted spark, so either TDC is fine - has to be like that as is a twin cylinder engine on 180 firing pattern, ie both at TDC together, but one is on compression stroke and the other is on exhaust. Coils wired in series.
Got my kit (thanks btw) Did they change the design where you need to set the pistons 38 btdc, and not at TDC like this video? (Or just the non-lighting kit) Either way is fine, I was just curious.
I've just bought one of these ignition kits . This video explains the fitting very simply and clearly. Thank you. Subscribed.
if you fit everything correctly and get rough running or misfires, try opening the spark plug gap to 1mm or 1.5mm . seems to help
Great video! Thanks for the info
Snaking the stator wire though the chain case hole when the motor is in the frame is a HUGE pain in the ass!

On my B40 the unit is under the seat. For your A65, I would mount on the oil tank or perhaps condensor bracket. Heat shouldn't be a problem

Is there no keyway or key to hold the mag from spinning on the crank?

Okay, thanks.

Pretty sure the racing version / non-lighting kit you have to set the piston to the degree in which you want it to fire at
Very smart young man awsome.
