You can use them in any microwave - even a combination one, but only in microwave only mode - because the plates are not metal but ceramic of some type so no issue. 👍
if you like butter, instead of just putting loads on the outside, try buttering both sides of the bread. It really helps the cheese melt and makes such a rich lovely sandwich.
I was lucky enough to get the kickstarter version, I think the plates are heavier and there is a divide that crushes the center if you dont cut the bread but it makes it lightly gold in 3 mins and deep gold in 6 I got the potato maker too, ~15-20 mins for a oven quality microwaved potato.
It's a real game changer - was so impressed with the Mico I bought another one, for work! Will probably never use my old messy sandwich toaster again. Favourite fillings - cheese, ham (both vegan) and diced onions
I am keen on that, should say always been bothered with electronic sandwich presses as water getting where it should not, being trapped inside was always a concern of mine. Even when the plates are removeable stuff still gets on the machine and you know too take great care in cleaning it and ensuring it is fully dry before it ever touches the mains again.
Have you ever used the Mica in a combination microwave-(mines is the Panasonic one you recently reviewed and I commened on). I bought the Mica and just noticed it says not to use in a combination microwave!🙃😔
You will be ok to use this in a combi microwave as long as you only select the microwave to cook with, if you select the grill or oven options then it will damage the toastie maker
@lords-electrical Thanks for the prompt reply- After I contacted you I looked on the Amazon reviews of the product- -its OK to use. ( made a toasted bagel- first attempt put on too long at high- burned. 2nd attempt- perfect. I also took ur advice on lowering the power and cooking for longer- ( I have porridge every morning)- much better Thanks again. B.
That can’t be the same toastie that you put all that cheese in? How did all that cheese stay inside and how did it end up being flat like it had been clamped in between the 2 sides, when it was only loosely fitted?
I've been looking into these, so you may have pushed me into a purchase. I usually put cheese and ham in mine, my girlfriend likes cheese, tomato, and fresh basil from her garden.
That’s as British a product name as you can get 😂. Morphy Richards, I’m going to sell fixie bikes, mico toasties, and knickerbocker glories at my cutesie product shoppe and chippy
Didn’t work, I’m assuming it’s because my microwave isn’t powerful enough, mine went in for 2.5 mins then turned it & a further 2 mins. Took it out & it wasn’t toasted, put it back in for 2 more mins & again not toasted. I couldn’t be arsed putting it back in so I just ate it. I’ll try again another day for a lot longer.
Amazing really how good it does actually work. As for favourite sandwich? I like chicken and glamorgan sausage. It's a strange choice......but it's my choice hehe
I find I don’t even have to butter the outside, especially if make it a cheese one. I have this one and the one that cuts and seals. Just don’t break any clips. Morphy Richards don’t want to help, and only offer a discount on a new one, rather than send a clip out.
That toast scraping is asmr gold 🙌
Congrats on 60,000 subscribers!
Thanks very much, roll on 75 then 100k in the end
That's a great piece of kit! Better that the old school toastie makers by far. Will definitely consider this!
I love a tuna and cheese toastie 😀
Thank you for sharing this video, I really need this toaster but can it be used in a basic microwave s it has metal in it?
Yes it can be used in any basic microwave

ooh sounds good, i will try that

Great filling choices 👍
What if you did a toastie series?
ooh nice idea, i like that.

@@Busy3porridge with this toasties maker? how?
@@zenastronomy Clearly, or maybe not, I was referring to making porridge in my microwave?🤷♀️
Love cheese, cheese and onion, cheese and ham
Also great with chocolate spread
Do you like cheese?😉
Anyone know when these will be back in stock? Can’t find one anywhere
Annoyingly we can't get any of the toastie makers from Morphy Richards at the moment and we have no idea when they will be available
That can’t be the same toastie that you put all that cheese in? How did all that cheese stay inside and how did it end up being flat like it had been clamped in between the 2 sides, when it was only loosely fitted?
That is a quite a helping of butter and cheese for one toast sir.
So 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️

Cheese, tomato and fresh basil sounds nice.
@@lords-electrical great review do you have any Beko washing machines to review soon
I make coronation chicken toasties in mine. Perfect for work.
doesn't the tomato and basil get soggy from being microwaved?
Amazing you grow basil in your garden! Proud of you!
Cheese and onion with some pepper sauce. That's my fave
ooh that does sound good 😁
i miss summer
actually, i live in ireland which means i MISSED summer

That's strange as normally for that length of time it should be enough time to make a crispy toastie
Amazing really how good it does actually work. As for favourite sandwich? I like chicken and glamorgan sausage. It's a strange choice......but it's my choice hehe
Can I cook steak in this device?
I haven't tried it, but i couldn't guarantee that you would be able to.
I usually put coronation chicken sandwich filler in mine and have some mango chutney on the side.
Is it a good product
looks too small for the bread. needs to be bigger
Can you make a bacon toastie
Yes a bacon toastie works well but you would need to pre cook the bacon 🥓

How did you break the clips - are they weak, can you just be careful with them
I always thought you couldn't put metal in the microwave?? Someone smarter than me, please explain!! :)
bread not crispy more like soggy. threw it away
It just needs to cook for longer, or even leave the toastie in the maker for a bit after it has finished cooking
40 quid on amazon 😂
Nearly 15 in microwave and still not even slightly toasted useless equipment.
Yep me too mine didn't go brown and crispy that's all
