Don't forget, the SOO Line had a pair of RS-27 units, Union Pacific had 4 (one of their units was wrecked beyond repair in an accident between Topeka and Marysville, Kansas) and the Pennsy had the remaining 17 units. I hope that the two surviving RS-27 units remain intact!
I think the MNNR realize what they have, I doubt they'll ever meet the scrappers torch, they even drained the 316 and put it away for the winter. It'll be back in the spring...
