    How did I miss this video? I playtested these rules. As much as I enjoyed 1870, 1859, and 1866 the 1871 rules do play faster and more smoothly.

    Congratulations. This is a very beautiful board. In our club, El ÚltimoTercio fron Madrid (Spain) a group of members are beginning to learn this rulebook but we going to play with 15 mm miniatures.

    While I do find the Franco-Prussian war interesting it has no real support in the US. The US Civil War pretty much dominates the time period in the minds of many American gamers. A conflict I find to be overdone to the point of being dull and overly politicized. World War II is still the game that sucks all the air out of the room when it comes to historical wargaming.

      Depends, I've been a miniatures gamer for 30+ years and I've never gamed a period past 1912.
