I think it is talking about the need to embrace the short time Christians have to help reach unbelievers, it’s talking about spreading the gospel. It’s not an emotion per se, but it’s the wisdom of that urgency.

My husband is a Christian, but he doesn’t read the Bible often. But he was blessed by God because of the biblical value his family had in their daily lives. I am a very devout Christian and read more of the Bible than my husband does, but my life has not really been transformed by the Word of God; so, I still struggle a lot. So, what I’m trying to say is that living out biblical values is more important than just knowing God’s Word. In America, a lot of people may not know Jesus so well, but they live out the biblical value that is precious. (American spirit, American constitution) Of couse if they know Jesus and have relationship with Jesus that would be plus plus.
Also we must MRI in mind those with special needs, the aging, elderly, those suffering worth dementia and so forth may not read, understand, study or recall scripture the way we do. This is why comparing is dangerously. We need to work out our own salvation.
Hot or cold? It is up to our Lord to judge. I discovered what true cold and hot, when I was in the hospital. Most people at church didn't care. Would I say they were cold ? Or maybe they were so hot in reading God's words.

“不冷不热”的经文在启示录讲述老底嘉教会, 背景是老底嘉当地的泉水很有名, 有治疗的功效, 无论是热的泉水还是冷的泉水,都有治疗的功效,因此主基督盼望老底嘉的弟兄姊妹要么冷要么热，其实就是于人于己的生命有益处,相反,不冷不热的泉水是无益的， 我们的生命若于人于己都无益处，那么这就是不冷不热。

一個人對上帝不冷不熱 自己知道嗎？ 或者是 當愛情冷淡的時候 彼此都有感受吧？
大家对不冷不热这句话的理解大都是，冷就是冷淡，热就是热心，不冷不热就是不热心。
但下句说，我情愿你或冷或热，不要象温水。
这里的或冷，要不你就对神冷淡。
或热，要不你就对神热心，你觉得是这样的解释吗。

個人認為: 愛和真理讓生命成熟. 生活化是活出真理, 但非世俗化. 從幔內到營外就是愛的流通. 作見證是愛在生活化中的彰顯, 傳基督救贖福音則是作見證的一部份. 佛教是以工程表達人的心和感官應操練到澄澈清明無我, 才能接受原始真實資訊; 相對基督教是接受主的寶血洗清罪, 放下老我順服聖經, 有愛澆灌, 人才能行出神的旨意.
我自己論「不冷不熱」，如果你感受到自己生命隨時在更新，有些新的東西進來，並且也能感動別人，我自己覺得這就是光是熱；如果生命中總是沒有新鮮東西，自己也感受到沒有任何東西進來，這就是冷，不冷只是有些宗教行為讓自己以為＂不冷＂實際上這種不冷還是假的，因為失去了某種行為又或者不能做了，還是會漸漸變冷，也還是某種崇拜偶像的舉動，本質上還是冷的如法利賽人。
林前10：31所 以 ， 你 们 或 吃 或 喝 ， 无 论 做 甚 麽 ， 都 要 为 荣 耀 神 而 行 。

知識鬥爭 😂
老底嘉教会指的是犹太教会，不是外帮教会。犹太人严守律法，但神的律法他们能全守吗，能全守，即冷。但耶稣说他们不冷，即他们不能全守。而他们也不热，不热，即不信耶稣。耶稣说巴不得你们或冷或热：或冷，即能全守律法，也能得救，但能吗？！ 或热，即知道自己不行，从而接受耶稣为救主。
因信称义，不靠行为！“没有一个人靠着律法在 神面前称义，这是明显的；因为经上说：「义人必因信得生。」”

如果圣经里这句不冷不热是指你对神不热心。
但下一句说，我情愿你或冷或热，这个或冷，或热，又该怎么解释？
這個冷在這裡是指 refresh, 是讓人感到被更新的意思. 這個熱是使人感到温暖, 所以這節經文裡的冷及熱都是好的. 因為每人的擅長不同, 有些人很會振奮別人(冷 refresh 如同熱天的冷水) 有些人特別温柔(熱, 冬天的太陽) , 所以或冷或熱都是好的. 但是不令不熱是指對神的救恩沒有反應. 神救恩的大能在一個人的身上沒有功效時是很可怕的一件事. 神的救恩就是生命, 當一個人領受了生命卻沒有生命的跡象 (僕人服侍人的生命, 澆灌人的生命), 無法活出基督的生命, 豈不是一件可怕的事嗎?
