I already had an Arc/sub/Fives and Beam/sub/One SLs Sonos systems around the house. Easy to add an Era 100 in kitchen. One button push to add TV audio to Era 100 for sound in kitchen for news/sports. Whole house audio for TV or music is very easy with Sonos environment.

Interestingly, I prefer the Homepod 2’s sound signature. It sounds very “airy” as if the sound is floating around you instead of sounding like its coming out of a single speaker. Meanwhile the Era 100 is more conventional and very in your face. The Era 100 would probably sound better when you’re right in front of it while the Homepod 2 would probably sound the same regardless of where you’re at inside a room. Really depends on the listener’s taste and preferences as both sound great and you really can’t go wrong either way.

The nice thing is pairing the era 100 with the sub mini it really creates a fantastic sound in a small room. I wish the home pod could pair with a sub

dont think they would really need a subwoofer specially paired with 2, the bass from the homepod in this video is really really strong and deep sub bass.

Why would you need a sub with homepod? It’s already incredible. You can add a sub to it with airport express 2 anyway

no contest...while the Sonos is nice...it is canny compared to Apple HomePod is amazing room enhancing sound...definitely the Apple is supreme in quality of sound experience...and that is what I want more than anything. Another amazing speaker and best with pair.

I'm in a confusion how that Homepod 2 sounds with Moneyworld song, that sub-bass notes hit so clean and deep, that even my JBL Partybox 310 cannot hit them as expected!

For me , Sonos 100 has more clear mids and tight bass whereas HomePod 2 producing muddy bass, though I own HomePod 2, no regret at all. Enjoying it for movie.

The homepod lack the bass in low volume if you have volume less than 15% …
Sonos sound quality is more comfortable and pleasant to the ears.
    My opinion

When you test sonos 100 seem that you were closer so reflect more bass and detail sound and when you did HomePod you were far so less bass but more detail sound

Sonos is good but i still prefer the Homepod, much more solid and less tinny than the Sonos, the Sonos lacks depth not rich enough

Not being able to pair two speakers with my Sirius radio is a deal breaker.

@@ovotal I have to say the Sonos App made it a lot easier to pair both speakers from me desktop as well as my IPhone. The sound is great but I have to say the bass on the HomePod was stronger.

No bass = trash, regardless of everything else included in a speaker. Bass is #1 when it comes to sound quality. Without Bass, you automatically lose
