love your interactions with your daughter. "It says you have to be 25...." I told my daughter she needed a PhD to work at McDonalds, as that was her dream job at age 5. She did get her PhD and she is a scientist now....not working at Mcdonalds!

I think I should start doing what you kids do. Buying to resell. I know I've told you that's how I made a good living for many years. But even though I mentally feel young. I got to remember that physically I'm not a kid any more... LOL...

I found the butter turquoise pattern at the thrift store for .75 for the medium bowl and $1.50 for the large bowl!! My mom had the others. Now we have a set.

Your daughter is precious. Lots of nice fines. I use to have a space in a antique shop. It didn't work out all that well, I had to pay for the space which ate into my profit. I love Antiques. I'm pretty good at finding things of value.

A little lemon juice and baking soda would take care of that brass oxidation. Just a thought
I don’t find a problem with a little oxidation on the brass. It wouldn’t stop me from buying and a little or moderate amount shouldn’t affect the priest. My 2 cents.

Those Federal Glass Southern Ladies set (HTF FEG72 is the model number) you have at the beginning of the video are fairly rare. I have the same set in my collection. Also, have 2 sets of the pink Gooseberry that you were talking about, both Cinderella sets and both mint and have the matching refrigerator set to go along with it. My wife is a big Pyrex and Fenton fan. To add, if you find the Robins egg plain Pyrex it can be worth as much or more than the pink Gooseberry. We have a set of refrigerator dishes complete with lids in that color and the set of regular mixing bowls.
On the Fenton front I believe we are up to 16 Fenton lamps at the moment.

FYI, our military/navy cleans there brass with this stuff, called bug juice. It is their fruit punch they serve to our inlisted people. It harmless, taste amazing, and makes brass look new.
Bug Juice?? Is that the same stuff my kids always want at the gas station? That works to clean brass?

I used to use those glass heads in school for measuring out a head with the 10/20 system for seizure/ sleep monitoring!

The head was sold at Pier I Imports about 30 years ago. I know because I bought it as a Christmas gift for our friend, paid $30.

The Crazy Lamp Lady had Lamp Remorse lol. I heard it's a real disease lol. I would take a string of multi colored Christmas lights and fill that glass head to make a funky lamp lol. Thanks for sharing your hunt. Take care.

Hi, I love what you are doing for the environment, making old things valuable in a throw away culture. But as a "green" person, it upsets me to see everyone tossing single use plastics (plastic starbucks cup) in the garbage. Our kids will be the ones to have to deal with it.

Yes!!! Everyone should have reuseable glass or aluminum drinking straws!!! They sell on Amazon with cute little carrying cases!
@@lovingmayberry307 yes, but straws are a small part. I cringe every time I see somebody toss a single use McD's or Starbucks cup in the garbage walking down the street. They're not recycled, just piling up in landfills and oceans.
I think we're going backwards. But it's great that people see the value in "old stuff". I realized 75% of my home is furnished with 2nd hand finds... and it all looks great!

I grew up with that Early American pyrex set. They came with glass lids. I only have one left of that set.
I bought a glass horse shaped cologne bottle at a flea market (in smoky green). It's definitely Avon. We could still smell the scent.
The brass in the lamps can be polished!
These ones were pitted green on the bases. They were beyond polishing, unfortunately.

Yeah, some of the pricing at that thrift shop is ridiculous. And I'm not always looking because in my head, I'm like... it's a thrift shop. And then I catch myself in the wrap up later and I'm like, "I paid... wait, I paid how much for this??"
Brass oxidation is easy to clean up! Find Wright's brass polish or never dull metal polish . both of these are far superior to the annoying pain in the neck brassoand they work without the annoying white residue that's such a pain to clean up
I have that same glass head piece in my home. It is my favorite decor piece I own! I love it and have been on the look out for a skull 0ne to match
