Christian, Thank you very much for your brilliant presentation on split toning. The global and luminance enhancement has made the waters glowing beautifully. You have inspired me a lot. Today I drove to Gothenburg 120km from home to get som photos and videos, because it is a very shiny sunny day after a few months snow and frozen rain weather. So it is late to catch up your extraordinary update on time, I am sorry. I also shot by the waters today, it is very helpful to try this split toning method on my phots. I am grateful for your presentation and help!
Excellent tutorial Christian, thank you, I have been following your work for some time. I would have liked to see you complete the process of cleanup in Photoshop, perhaps you could finish that in the next video. Thanks again.
Thanks a lot! To me the cleaning part is always so uninteressting that I feel like I should not include it in the videos, but I will do it the next time
Always enjoy your videos. A question at 4:50 you add a linear gradient to the sky, then subtract the sky. You indicate this is to remove the building, but it looks more like the opposite happened. do you need to invert the subtraction?? I might not have followed it correctly so I could be wrong. Thanks
I think it should be "intersecting" the linear gradient with the sky instead of "subtracting" the sky from the linear gradient. The darkening was mistakenly applied to the tops of the towers.
These white lines are the worst. If I really want to get rid of them, I usually go into Photoshop and use the min / max filter (to target edges around things like this). I havent figured out a way to do this properly in Lightroom sadly
Thanks a lot! I usually change the reflection in a way its not accurately matching the sky thats true, to me it just looks better, but thats a personal preference!
Why bringing down the global luminance in the color grading tab instead of just the exposure overall? Or is it working differently like the brightness vs exposure in c1?
NICE TO FOLLOW - I ALSO DO A PRESET in LC... /// THX FOR SHARING THIS TUT.... But who say this was easy... IF not follow you I never figure out all this LC Mode or Move ... ;)

Danke für das Lob!
Great video, thanks especially for the tip on sensitively affecting contrast with luminosity in Color Grading.
The trick with the sky selection is nice!
Wow! I learn so much from your videos!! Thank you.
This tutorial is packed with great examples and hints. Really good explications at each step.
As ever an excellent tutorial 👌thank you.
Thank you!

Agree, when following along I saw the same thing.
I think it should be "intersecting" the linear gradient with the sky instead of "subtracting" the sky from the linear gradient. The darkening was mistakenly applied to the tops of the towers.
Oh my God, you're right, biiiiig mistake how did I not notice that? :O
These splity bois really pop, thanks dude!
Long awaited software ... great!
Thank you for sharing your brilliant, excellent skills. from South Korea
Thank you!
i'am having difficulties with color grading process to achieve my goal. Your videos are helping me to progress. Thanks!
Happy to hear that, thank you so much!
Wonderful. How do you address the white line edges that can sometimes be present on buildings against the sky? Can’t find a good fix…
These white lines are the worst. If I really want to get rid of them, I usually go into Photoshop and use the min / max filter (to target edges around things like this). I havent figured out a way to do this properly in Lightroom sadly
Excellent tutorial, thank you.
Great Video
Thank you Christian.
Wonderful! 👍❤
Brilliant!
Fabulous editing, however I found it distracting thst the reflection of the sky in the water no longer matched the sky.
Thanks a lot! I usually change the reflection in a way its not accurately matching the sky thats true, to me it just looks better, but thats a personal preference!
Nicely done, thank you. I would have removed the two posts standing alone in the foreground in the water.
Only the two post...
Thanks a lot for commenting! I see what you mean, to me those posts were too distracting
Why bringing down the global luminance in the color grading tab instead of just the exposure overall?
Or is it working differently like the brightness vs exposure in c1?
You can do both, There might be a tiny difference between the outcome of those two, but in the end it dont think it matters much.
There are edge halos on the building spires that need to be removed

The tutorial as such is great, but to my taste the building colors became slightly too warm.
Thanks for the comment! Thats fine, I love the colors more intense, but you can dial it down a bit in the HSL Panel :-)
Why is this type of sharpening better than Noise reduction by AI?
