@@darylobert Im using the make joint dynamic since today ( jiggle effect for breasts) but the problem is that after I apply this, 3 of the options >(stiffness, damping and Jiggle weight ) are all locked in yellow color. I can not unlock them. Like if they are hard coded. Any idea what is happening mate? Or is this even normal !?
after Daryl maya works i start liking mondays! ;) This maya tools are amazing, before this curve based rigs was a bit nightimre for animation. But still curve rig old fashioned its usefull like particles etc.

When I baked the whole joint chains, for example, I bake a dynamic long dress for a game character, and I want to turn some joints at key frames by joint controllers, how could I do that? Hi Daryl, great tips. I've been following your videos for over a year now. I have a specific question regards system performance. Say i have this huge mountain scene with several props and it already takes over 1million polys and i know i'll have to add in a rigged character thats another million polys. At this point everything is going so slow and laggy and i can barely rotate around the scene and i need to start animating everything and add multiple dynamic processes that will require even more of my system power. Is there a good approach and technique i can use to basically make everything alot less system driven. Like temporary reducing poly count in big amounts or maybe something else that i'm not aware of to reduce my systems performance and i could work more efficiently in the scene. Thank you.
Thanks for the tutorial! I'm a bit confused about the isolate select hotkey though. As far as I know that button has been on the shelf for years and the hotkey Shift+I toggles isolate select and that hotkey's been there forever.
+Rymdkakor Yes, that icon on the shelf has been around for a little, I forget what cut of Maya it came in maybe 2015? The hot key of Crtl 1 is new and much easier to hit than Shift I
Oh sorry for the late reply! I have been using Maya since the 2011 or 2012 version and I don't remember it ever not being there so I think it's older than that :)
daryl thanks for this can i ask please if i have a mesh that doesn't have joint and then i used dynamic joint on only one part example flag mesh how suppose to link the simulation to my mesh thanks
When I did this up to 1:03 it's all good. But when I press play I can see the spline moving around but the joint chain I created it from stays still. What basic error have I made?

I like the animation layer, for wieghting in betweens, not depending on it 100%. But some time its useful. Thank you Daryl for another great tips :)

after setting up the animation layer. Can I rebake the whole thing so I can even get rid of the layer?
