The backstory that Black has been an imposter for years, trying to move on from his old partners but failing as the title of imposter becomes meaningless to him is honestly really fitting.
I do want to know his reaction if he suddenly gets crewmate
Yeah, his origin as being a player that was essentially corrupted does make a lot of sense with this bit. I like to imagine that the player on the other end of the monitor can still play the game, and just keeps getting impostor over and over again, to the point where they just accept it as a part of life.

This has to be the most epic cover that you have ever done. I honestly love the fact hat somewhere in the beginning, it comes back flashbacks from the old Defeat, really shows that you guys went on all out this. Kudos to Black’s voice actor btw. He sounds like an actual murderer.

I *Love* the implications of black being stuck in an infinite loop, cursed to be a murderous beast forever. Plus i love how black basic tells bf that he can't win a fight he already lost.
Edit: just realised more cool details like the implication that black was the first imposter and that he's become an ancient curse of bloodshed and violence, born from blacks eternal loop.
And one of the imps had grey's hat when he had only a little ver of blacks in the flashback were he is little

I love this cover and now I always have the line „Have you ever wondered what happens when your game end’s forever“ in my head, because it’s in my opinion a really brillant line mentioning the fact that they are in the defeat screen and that black wants boyfriend to never respawn at all, because boyfriend respawned countless of times in the mode itself and sometimes in attempts in beating black and black wants boyfriend gone forever.
That’s why black challenges you in one last rap battle.
but it also goes to death itself, as we never know what happens when the light leaves our eyes.

Bro I love the lyrics and the lore of this version of defeat. The art style is beautiful, the lyrics fit well and the part where all the ghosts of past imposters are appearing next to Black and trying to convince him that it should be his time to rest, but Black has gotten so used to becoming the imposter that he just can't stop anymore or at least that's what I think is happening

I like how the story for this Black is different. Instead of him being a crewmate and lost his life by a black virus for him to become imposter all the time, it was just his friends that left him driving him kinda insane making him imposter and he feels awkward being imposter with other people he doesn't know making him imposter all the time because his madness caused the chances of him being imposter higher making him imposter almost all the time and he has to enter a new lobby every few matches of the same lobby just to not get voted out first thing of the start.

Now, I've never really gotten into the lore of the FNF Impostor mod, but what I'm gathering from this video and the comments section (and some slight personal takes) is that Black is an AI implemented into the game by Innersloth to test the capabilities of the Impostor, but when they released the game, they decided to be a bit careless and released Black into the public lobbies to do whatever. Very early into the game, Black met two players, Orange and Lime. The three ended up being Impostors, and they won with ease. However, Orange and Lime left the lobby after that, and Black was alone. Then, Black kept on getting the role of Impostor over and over, and he had little idea why until he realized that he was an AI in a game full of normal players, and he became used to his role, picking up new tricks and strategies, etc.
in the actual mod, hes just a really good imposter that converted a crewmate

If you want to learn how to sing the song (except for the end, or do just one), try putting it at a speed of 0.5, it's really helpful if you want to learn the song, once you get the hang of it you can put it to 0.75, then after that you can put it to normal speed. It's very helpful to do that because the first one is a practice, the second one is a challenge, and the final one is the finale.

It seems like you're getting better and better with the faster raps too, Mayo, so props to you for that! Still, though, the longer notes are really where you guys shine-I especially like the very final duet, it sounds like BF's calmly facing down Black's rampage (which, I mean, I guess he is).
And, of course, the art is great as ever! The animated part is really fluid-I love the whole "pictures torn in two" trope, it's always fantastic for dramatic effect.

The question of " have you ever wondered what happens when your game ends forever" seems genuine, and the fact him talking about him talking about death while ghosts of other impostors appear around him make it seem as if hes mourning them. That’s true but normally that’s because of an .exe-esque goo virus thing that infects him and gives him a bunch of powers he uses for grabbing pizza and stuff at first and eventually it makes him hunger for dead bodies and berate him for more until eventually it kills him and takes him over where it’s no longer bound by all the rules of the game
(Mostly explained for the benefit of the reader, you in particular probably know)
So that makes Maimy’s custom backstory pretty unique
