"SIX!" - Crendor, but the text says 8
Don't bother, it is pointless ;)
Relax it was in order and he said "six!", so eh, two out thr...eight! is pretty close of perfect.
And here I was thinking I was doing numbers wrong for nearly 40 years... (If you can't trust Crendor, who can you trust?)
Top 10 pointless mistakes Crendor made while making pointless top tens
The edible kicked in
Me immediately thinking “what’s the difference between a keg and cask?” And Crendor addressing it. Educational Top 10
I’m so kegcited
Literally every Saturday night
- Crendor video drops
- I say outloud, "HELL YEA BROTHER"
- I drop whatever I am doing to watch with full attention.
It is like a weekly quest for me. Same routine every week.
Same here, except for me it’s the Sunday morning poop video!
can't wait to know wowcrendor's top 10 pointless kegs in world of warcraft
drink every time crendor says "keg"
The corks used in kegs is called bung and is the origin of bung hole.
Bung is also the end of the digestive tract, if you catch my drift.
Finally scraping the bottom of the barrel
The keg/kask/barrel explanation was so good I had to stop for a sec
Cask
What, no kegs of BRD that we break
uhhh, they were #11
@@crendor saved
I feel like Fu Zan the wanderer's companion deserves a mention, though the baseline appearance of the staff carries a tankard and an eastern alcohol vessel (not sure the name, looks like something you'd carry sake in though), the alt appearances all have a little keg hanging off it and its really cool. I mostly don't make a habit of using the artefact weapon appearances for mogging, but my brewmaster still rocks her heroic variant Fu Zan, mostly because I love how she holds it over the shoulder and wish that idle stance could be applied to other polearm/staff weapons, but the idea of lugging the keg around is fun too.
It's wild how many animal-based liquors there are in WoW, lol. "Yeah, we're gonna brew this kodo's liver". Uh... okay?! XD
This might be your most specific yet
The symbol kinda looks like an axe 🪓
"Keg," "cask," and "barrel" all mean specific things to several various trades and regulatory agencies. Probably reading through the Wikipedia disambiguation pages for the various words will help clarify things. Or display how endlessly complex the semantics are.
The symbol on the gunpowder keg looks like a letter from one of the made-up alphabets that are somewhat inconsistently used on WoW assets. I think this one is called "Orcish," but, again, it's used inconsistently.
Chen's Empty Cask is a reference to Chen Stormstout's canonical adventures in the Barrens and elsewhere in Azeroth, in Warcraft III and other media. This quest is only available in Classic, now, it was removed in Cataclysm.
I think that the symbol on the powderkegs is some kind of stylized hammer from a flintlock style gun. The bit that strikes the flint to spark the powder.
pony kegs where originally invented just in case a horse walks into a bar
Pretty sure those are banana hammocks 😅
This video changed my life
#4 now makes me want a Pointless Top 10 Things That Should Have Been in Pointless Top 10's.
Leave it to Crendor to find the literal banana hammocks in WoW! 😂😂
I love pointless top ten, I’m a bit of a pointless top ten supremacist myself
Wow great video crendor
This pointless top 10 was not nearly pointless enough! I finally learned the origin of the term "honeymoon" AND that honey is good for reproductive health! False advertising!
Hey that Boralus inn aint no random inn, that is Hops, line and sinker from the Top 10 inns.
Side note: the banana "beds" look more like hammocks, so ... banana hammock 😏
i think this list is missing the giant Barrel in Blackrock Dephts's Tavern
What about the powder keg from the intro to WoD?
6:40 I think those are actually supposed to be banana hammocks... as in you know...
Now I want a quest involving a budgie smuggler.
Why is it "barrel aged", not "keg aged" though?
that's a great question and I have no idea lol
Because it's aged in barrels before being transferred to kegs
Because of volume, a barrel simply can contain more liquid than a keg... so for mass production a Barrel is preferred
For wine specifically oak barrels impart flavor, and the newer the barrel the more flavor will be added to the wine. Aging a wine in oak is like adding salt to your food.
One I'd add to my list: Pandaren shaman totems. As totems they are not as awesome as Vulpera's fox statues, but as kegs having Shaman totem effects makes them a worthy contender.
Dude. I can't believe you didn't see the obvious pun.
They're not just banana beds. They're banana hammocks.
Which is what you call the garment that Borat wore .. you know which one.
For the letter on the gunpowder keg, I was looking through some of Samwise Didier's art for warcraft today and saw goblin text in his art Warcraft - Goblin Steam Warrior and while none of the letters match exactly they are very similar. my guess is it's a probably just a G or P for gun or powder.
Regarding the powder keg symbol: traditionally, the tool of the sapper was an axe, and sappers have used a LOT of powder over the years. So it's a fiery sapper's axe, maybe?
That hozen speak kinda reminds me of the "Inventing Swear Words" video by Oxhorn. Or some really, really bad surferbro slang.
Thank you for your inspirational and educational videos.
No! I'm not a bot! The video was really educational because I learned a keg can also transport gunpowder. And I did enter the video just thinking of booze, yes.
A cask is used to contain non-pressurized drinks and are usually stored horizontally. Kegs are usually made from stainless steel and used to pressurized drinks such as carbonated beverages. They're usually stored upright.
Those aren't just banana beds. They are, in fact, banana hammocks. It's a pun!
(a banana hammock is a slang term for a speedo type swim suit)
The daily quest " I Need to Cask a Favor" involves clicking a cask outside the tavern in Karanos. Then you run real fast and you have 3 minutes to turn the cask into the Cooking Treainer in Ironforge, Fun little daily quest.
I think the fish topper is actually a lid for the barrel, like how a drinking flagon has a lid you can pop open with your thumb to drink it. Note the circular hinge thing. Model might even be a scaled up flagon from elsewhere in the game, no clue where.
The symbol on the keg is an orcish or dwarven rune for elemental fire, if I remember correctly. Old, ooooold vanilla low poly runes from molten core or something.
shoutout to the Stormstout Brewery where we got the barrels we could ride around on because that was great fun. I didn't know that about #1. Now I have to go investigate :)
But honeymoon came from Babylon much older..the Babylon gods older than norse and greek..even athen came ishtar
Roll out the barrel, roll out the barrel of fun
Roll out the barrel, we've got the blues on the run
Zing, boom, tararrel
Ring out the song of good cheer
Now's the time to roll the barrel, for the gang's all here
Honest question Crendor.....you ever wanted to make machinma again?
Can't help but wonder if the devs were going with an intentional 'banana hammock' joke or not with those 🤔 (6:24)
The tables in the Boralus Inn also look like they are made from deconstructed Kegs (or at least use the same texture of wood and metal binding)
This only probes alcoholic drinks are very important for blizz staff
The bees on the kegs in Boralus most likely came out of Stormsong Valley since there is so much bee related content :D
The gunpowder keg symbol is probably a letter. They do use those rune looking letters as language in the game.
Kind of looks like a gun and bullet? My other guess is that it's a logo of some kind.
This fills me with joy, much like a barrel is filled with various liquids.
What is the point of drink if I cannot drink it!
Open the kegs! The booze must flow!
I love it when Pointless Top 10 teaches us a little bit about history or whatever.
make a top 10 of wooden surfaces that have imperfections or knotches in them
I didn’t give you permission to teach me something. Fun one!
It looks like an axe and a drop of oil to me - like Venture Co.
Also, Crendor, those are clearly banana hammocks.
When we all used to pitch in for a pony keg back in the day.
