Glad you posted this. I just got an 03 1500 and it’s giving p0734 p0735 & p0700. The 700 is the tcm so ima replace that hope it works ! It’s been shifting funny
Did you change the output/ input speed sensors? If you did and it's still throwing this code, then it's highly possible you may need transmission work at this point. You may have fried the clutch bands in the transmission. But check your output/ input speed sensors first.
I have the same problem. This was very helpful. I drive a lot and I don’t want this happening to me. I get stuck in 4th and found that I can pull over, turn the truck off, and turn it back on to be able to drive again in overdrive. Got to be electrical. I think I’ll try to replace and update if it helped me.
You see that's exactly what kept happening to me and I would also pull over turn off the truck and restart it and then I'll be able to drive again but the problem with that is that the module just gets worse and worse and then eventually it will grenade your transmission so I highly suggest you change that module as soon as you possibly can and learn from my mistake.
@@svcruza well the part is in and seems to driving better so far but haven’t put that many miles on it. My connector that I pulled out was white which was confusing bc I have never requested any transmission work to be done on my truck. Appreciate you sharing the content.
@@andrestar9390 if you are getting this code or anything transmission related, I strongly suggest you change the input/output speed sensors and your shift module asap otherwise it will grenade your transmission like it did mine! Dont wait like I did...do it now if you can and save yourself a ton of money.
My question is, did your light go off after you changed out your two speed sensors I’ve never heard you talk about it again after you replaced him you never gave us a test drive after you replace the speed sensors and fixed your coolant leak
Yes, my light went off but it came back on about 2 days later.....same code. I thought I had more time to get the module swapped out but i was WAY wrong on that assumption. As a result, my procrastination costed me thousands of dollars in the long run. Since the rebuilt transmission was installed, that code is gone.
Hey older video but was it confirmed the solenoid pack was the cause? Getting same code right now. But getting a weird downshift from overdrive to 4. With overdrive off it shifts fine.
It was the last alert my tcm could give me before the transmission was trashed. Ultimately the bands on the clutch couldn't function properly anymore so the truck kept acting this way as if in limp mode. What ultimately grenaded my transmission was that sudden downshift from 5th to I believe 3rd or 2nd at 70mph is what killed it. All because the module was going bad on me and frying my clutch bands. It went from cheap to expensive real quick.
My truck is an 07 and I ran into these problems and failed to address them in time. Since yours is an 06 I would strongly recommend replacing the shift module in the transmission and the input/output sensors on the side of the transmission. With yours being an SRT8, your repair bill will be significantly higher than what mine was so I would address these issues immediately. The cost of a $500 part is better than forking out $4k.
Transmission Control Module. I was also told it's the shift module but everyone has their way of saying it...lol I pointed it out in the video so you know what it looks like.
yes, I drive the automatic code P0734, when I shift gears 1-2-3 to 4, it throws 3 again and falls into the code P0734, it goes backwards, only it does not go forward, the gearbox remains in 4-5

@@reelknottybassin4830 I replaced the whole valvebody assembly with the solenoid. Alldata diagnostics points to some part of the valvebody, solenoid, or the transmission friction discs AKA full rebuild.
Hopefully you can see this, I have the same problem incorrect gear ratio on 5,6 gear I can be driving and the transmission will slip if I go into high rmps if I go slow and steady it will shift perfectly through all gears but if in high rpms I could just hear and feel it slip, what can I do? Could I change the module and will that resolve it? Great video Thanks!
Everyone who's experiencing this problem that a look at your wheel speed sensors I had this exact problem and couldn't figure it out replacing the conductor plate, transmission! Come to be the vss
Suena raro q así hayas solucionado el problema, ya q el código po734 está relacionado a cuerpo de válvulas o fugas internas de presión. Ya sea por desgaste de pistones válvulas o discos del tambor de 4a velocidad. Saludos

Jump on it quickly because it gets expensive fast!
Appreciate the info on both vids. Having the same issue on a 68RFE. The Power point helped my decision making for sure!! TY

I put a revmax valvebody and a new white plug pack in it back in august, and now it's theowing this code 9 months later

@@svcruzaso the solenoid was the cause?
@@codymimbs9200 no sir, it was the shift module that failed, the solenoid was the symptoms of the erratic shifting controlled by the module itself.

I replaced the whole valvebody, both filters and fluid but still throwing the codes. Time for a transmission rebuild
Did you also replace both input/output speed sensors?

The “module” is called solenoid pack.
