I love 4:42 when she says monkey. She has the voice of an 8 year old girl. She was so enchanting and adorable. It truly breaks my heart that she is gone. But, listening to her sweet voice soothes me. It really gets me through the day and studying her life gives me hope. My God Marilyn, I love you so so much. Let's say a prayer for our beloved Marilyn.

Both sad and wonderful to hear her speak. No one will ever forget this little orphaned girl, she's still here in 2021 an iconic figure.

Wow, what a story. Poor woman with no traditions or rituals with family. Her life is so similar to my grandmother's.

She didn’t graduate high school and yet she was still brilliant. Idc what anyone says, she wasn’t just “smart”, she was insightful, articulate, well read as she got older, honestly she was brilliant.

At the time the school system was a lot different compared to now if you noticed she never took maybe speech classes because they or schools didn't have a class for that I think she had a hunger to learn back then the war wasn't even quite over so you wondered what she did in her spare time

I think it was called The Los Angeles Orphans Home and then changed its name to Hollygrove in the 1950s
