I think I know what the indicators are in the Yoshi level. You grab the POW with Yosh, then set it down on the spike behind the Boo rather than spitting it at the Thwomp. Use it as a stepladder to keep the Boo from taking Yoshi, then hit the switch and continue from there.

The twitch streams are insufferable. So many viewers desperate for attention. I wish these were edited like his normal uploads on TH-cam, he's losing money not doing that. Most people don't give a single shit about the chat interaction and will skip through it to get to the gameplay if they bother at all.
The only time I skip is when he has dissappeared from the screen because he had to go to the bathroom and stop skipping when he appears again. Otherwise I watch everything from the start to when the stream ends.
