    Just got my FS40 out the shed after a few years and primed it with the little bubble thing and it started straight away 👍🏼

    @STIHLGB Is this the video for the head that comes stock with the FS 38 trimmer? What is the biggest size line that can be used with the stock head for that trimmer?

    • @STIHLGB
      @STIHLGB  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for your comment. The FS 38 comes with an AutoCut C 6-2 mowing head and the thickest line you can use in that head is 2.4mm. I hope that helps, thanks, STIHL GB

    When I hit the bump feed, my trimmer doesn't release line. Should I be able to manually pull the line out if I push the bump in with my hands while the trimmer is off? What might cause this bump feed to not work...

    Thanks for the video. Every time I load the line it just uses it all in one go which is not even 10 minutes of use. Do you know why what would be happening?

    • @STIHLGB

      Hi, thanks for your comment. There are a number of reasons this could be happening and it may be worth taking it a local STIHL Approved dealer for them to look at, but in the meantime, is the spring still in the mowing head? If that has come out, it's possible the spool may be floating around inside the head and the line may be coming out too fast? Are you bumping the head on the ground to load new line? Also, the head can take 4 metres of 2mm mowing line - are you loading this much line in one go? If you can share a bit more information, we may be able to help, otherwise as mentioned, we suggest taking it to a STIHL Approved dealer if you think it's faulty. You can find your nearest dealer here: shop.stihl.co.uk/pages/dealer-locator
      Thanks, STIHL GB

      @@STIHLGB Thank for your reply. Yes the spring is still in the head and no I am not bumping the head to load new line. I had around 4 meters of line to start with when I saw the problem. But thanks for the tip, I will take it to a local dealer and see what they have to say.

      @@sumitnarula6941 I think that sounds like the best option - they should be able to take a look and confirm what the issue is. Thanks, STIHL GB

      Hi, thanks for your comment. It depends what model of grass trimmer you have. If you let us know which trimmer you have, we can advise what cutting heads can be used with it. Thanks, STIHL GB

    • @STIHLGB
      @STIHLGB  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mathiourose hello, so the FS 38 grass trimmer comes as standard with the AutoCut C 6-2 mowing head now, but if you would prefer to use one where you can fit the polymer blades, you can also fit the PolyCut 6-2 to an FS 38. The part number is 4006 710 2134 and you can find more info here: www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/Grass-trimmers-brushcutters-and-clearing-saws/Cutting-tools/Mowing-heads/PolyCut-mowing-heads/2128669-133642/PolyCut-6-2-mowing-head.aspx

      Hi, thanks for your comment. Do you mean the FS 50 C-E? We're not aware of a model called the FS 50 B. But if the AutoCut C 5-2 will fit the FS 50 C-E if you have that model. Thanks, STIHL GB

    The centre cap is stuck on the head, I can remove the whole head, but it doesn't come apart into the 3 peices, just 2. Andy ideas?

    • @STIHLGB
      @STIHLGB  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks for your comment. I've spoken to one of our Product Trainers and he suggested that you try and give the centre cap a firm tap on your hand to try and loosen it. There are some recesses on that centre part of the mowing head, and the centre cap should slot into these recesses and then lock into place so it just sounds like those parts have got stuck, perhaps if some wet grass or dirt has got trapped in there too. If you can't loosen it that way, our next suggestion would be to take it back to your STIHL Approved Dealer and they may be able to loosen it for you. Thanks, STIHL GB
