I love the vanicream vitamin c serum! I have very sensitive and dry skin with eczema and rosacea and my skin reacts normal to it. Also, the price is very affordable and the smell is not terrible!
I've tried several vitamin C serums, including Timeless 10% serum. But I finally found my holy grail vitamin C serum, which is Vanicream vitamin C. I adore it because it's moisturizing, and there's no hotdog odor.

I got hooked on Timeless after watching Hot & Flashy and seeing her skin transform in the last 10 years. Angie is alot older than I am, but her analysis on skin care serums and creams have gotten me the best skin ever
Thank you for the focus on Vitamin C! I have been using it for several years, but at 59, I am adding quite a few other actives to my routine. I am using the timeless 20%, but worry that 1) do I need to lower my skin PH before applying, or worry that my essense is not a low PH that I apply before it? 2) I was using argiriline and lactic acid in my morning routine with it (along with CoQ10, Azelaic acid, urea, peptide eye serum, Niacinamide and ceramide moisturizer before my SPF) and read conflicting reports that I am countermanding the efficacy of my vitamin C with some of these products, or not maintaining a low PH in my skincare. Since Vitamin C is the star of my morning routine, please help! I trust you!

If you go to Japan you have to try vitamin c serum by unlabel lab. It has tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate in it, the packaging is also pump. But don't buy the moisturizer bcs it has essential oil or some kind of like orange oil for as long as I can remember
No, it doesn’t have any vitamin c! There are some (not essential) oils that do tho that’s mainly vitamin A and E. eg Rosehip oil - both also antioxidants. I’m trying to remember if raspberry seed oil does. V high in the other 2 also has high sun protection factor!
For ascorbic acid application, im thinking of building a deoxygenated, cold room, inserting an oxygen pipenin my mouth and then applying the ascorbic acid in this room. Would that help it remain stable or is oxygen not the issue here?
If light “breaks down” vit C , why not use it at night? Doesn’t putting Vit C in the morning and going out cancel its effect? What makes us thing that if Vit C is not in a dark opaque container it is obsolete, then bringing it out of the container and putting in on the face will make it active, when as soon as it “sees” light it is over… Some body explain this to me. Thank you
We have a vacation trip planned and will be out in the sun most of the day. Besides applying sunscreen frequently and wearing a hat, what else is essential? I am especially concerned about which serums and ingredients should be avoided with sun exposure.
Definetly avoid retinol/retinoids, as they make your skin more sensitive to UV light. Also just generally avoid products that strip your skin and can make it sensitive. A good ingredient to add would be Vitamin C, because it boosts the effects of sunscreen (but I'm sure you already knew that if you are on Dr. Idriss channel much 😉)
Has anyone tried the Neutrogena’s Vitamin C ampules? 20% pure L - ascorbic acid. Or No. 7’s? Is it possible to use either during the day or will your sunscreen not bind due to the slip of the product? I’m thinking it might be strictly for night time routine. Also, what step in layering do you apply? 🙏💓
I’m thinking I’ve been using a vitamin C serum for a year and it’s never smelled like hotdogs. I’m wondering if it doesn’t smell like that if it was doing nothing this whole time ! 🥹🥹🥲
Ugh... Vitamin C lasts longer if you put it in the refrigerator. You also don't need premixed serums. You can use vitamin C powder and mix it with hyaluronic acid. You can keep the vitamin C powder in the refrigerator and it won't oxidize until it is exposed to liquid. I don't know why dermatologists don't tell you this and have you waste your money on these expensive products.
Those pumps are terrible on them 1 pump and it pumps out enough product for at least 3 uses. Dermatica used to use same pumps thankfully they have changed them now to a much smaller pump .so this type of pump is a waste of so much product ❤
Love the Ordinary’s powdered ascorbic acid. Since it’s dry, it doesn’t spoil. Mix as you go, and works great…. Plus it’s incredibly inexpensive
