I love the way different people have different implements for bowing the strings in glissando guitar. I use a long shackle padlock.

The only way to get glissed is in a field, lying on your back in a tent with loads of hippies, and spacing out to this incredible sound - believe me it's a musical meditation that I have never experienced till I met these guys at Kozfest in Devon.

Oh I miss Daevid and Gilli so much, I can't get on board the new incarnation of Gong, they need to call it something else it detracts from a great body of work.

I understand your good intention, but I feel this comment is a tad negative. I saw Glissando and the Invisible Opera Company of Tibet at Beautiful Days a few years ago, and it was wonderful. We all miss Daevid and Gilly, but it was always their wish for the music to continue. They have transcended but the music hasn't ended. The name Gong, if you heard this as a new name for a band, would suit the current incarnation. Ownership was never their bag. I say long may they continue. I'm 40 and have been listening to this music since I was a kid (Thanks Dad)
