Dr Cliff thank you for informing me about the new ReSound One hearing aid. Today I had a meeting with the audiologist at the Veterans Administration clinic, where I requested a ReSound One hearing aid. I requested the battery powered model because the batteries are free from the VA and they are easy to carry. I also learned from you that they are smaller and more comfortable.
Doctor Cliff, your videos are much appreciated. I just had my third thorough hearing test in the last 10 months for work related hearing loss; 25+ years in law enforcement. Hearing aids are in my future and your input has been priceless. Thank you.
Just a note for anyone using the VA for hearing Aids. I was supposed to get my ReSound LiNX Quattro on 10/7 But after seeing the review spoke to my VA Aud. and the Re-sound ONE hearing aids will be on VA contract starting 11/1, so I decided to Wait and Get the new Model...
Nice! I just got my Linx Quattro last week from the VA But now, I really want the Resound One How did you convince your audiologist to get that the newer model?
I'm a new hearing aid user, got my first pair of resounds a week ago from the VA after an audiology test and I didn't realize that I had hearing loss in my ears, more so in my right ear and I can't begin to explain how much I've been missing out on without hearing aids. These are great and I love the phone app where I can adjust to my surroundings. I'm still getting used to them. Great product.
As a hearing aid user with zero hearing In noise capability my experience of testing the pre Quattro Linx model told me that Resound premium models are really good at enabling Hearing In noise! With the improvements in this new model and the change in microphone positioning plus the new directionality features I would expect outstanding hearing In noise performance from the new series!
Dr. Cliff, Thanks for the review. As a current ReSound (older version) user, I agree with your comments/concern about the taper and pointy tip of the new ONE "style" case as well as the fit of their RIE tubes. I, perhaps like you, don't have "monkey" ears that stick out, as they are rather small and tucked closer to my head. I have tried a smaller RIE tube so that it does not stick out and having to keep pushing it in, but the smaller and tighter tucked tube had the painful effect of "digging in" and causing a tubing dent into that top/front corner of my pinna. I desire the behind the ear cases to be narrow especially at the top of my ear so that I don't feel like there is a lump behind my ear. I already rejected the Quattro rechargable in favor of the 312 battery version instead because the case was slimmer. But, now I am looking at the ONE since I have not yet ordered the Quattro. Seems like ReSound should be smart enough to figure that out and design a slim tapered case to fit more users with less prominent ears. (The Signia Styletto may be on to something here, not just with trying to be trendy with that slimmer shape) Now that ReSound is advertising the ONE designed to use our own unique Pinna's, perhaps we can ENCOURAGE them as a next step to provide a better size selection of their receiver tubes if not customize a uniquely shaped tube for our own pinna without having to go with a custom ear mold. (Does their custom ear mold also include a custom connecting tube shape?) I feel if the length of the part of the tube that connects to the receiver is just right, it should be able to be pushed in flush with the ear. Yes, as we talk or eat, some of us might have to push it back in periodically, but not sure a retention device will prevent it from working its way loose and coming out slightly anyway. Also, another idea is perhaps by lengthening the tube slightly where it goes into the ONE case, allowing the case to hang slightly lower behind the ear where there may be more room to comfortably accomodate that wider, less tapered casing. As you and another commenter posted, the comfort of the case, tube and fit of the in ear receiver could really determine if ReSound is the ONE for us regardless of the technology built inside it.
Superb Peice of Hearing Aids . ReSound has always been pioneer in giving new technology and features .. Whether is wireless Hearing Aid , wireless programming , Phone and TV connectivity .. This time its way ahead of time ...
Excellent review. You mentioned you need a phone clip. But if I have an Apple Watch and an iPhone 12, do I need to use a phone clip for the person I am talking with to hear my voice and what I am saying? Or can I use the Apple Watch for the audio to the person I am talking to, or does the hearing aid actually have a capability to pick up my voice and transmit it.
Thanks for your video, Dr. Cliff. I have single sided deafness. I was recently implanted with a Cochlear brand implant and will receive a Resound One for my good ear. This review was very helpful.
Hi Doctor Cliff, so i was completely sold on the Marie solution for my needs after watching multiple videos and reading the marketing material and went all in on the resound ones. Unfortunately my audiologist and I could never get them to work right, even with the help of the resounds rep helping tune one visit. Feedback, echos, silence, etc were all extremely frustrating challenges as the resounds cycled through programs. After multiple attempts I gave up on them going back to standard in ear receivers. It just really seems like the programming to handle the extra mic isn't ready for prime time. Any thoughts?
I just got my new ReSound one hearing aids and I love them!!! I love the sound quality of the Bluetooth when I listen to music, it sounds just like my AirPods. I also love that they are rechargeable, no more spending money on batteries and changing them every week.
I've followed your videos for the past several years and they are much appreciated. I have the Resound ONE (M&RIE) 961. I have high frequency hearing loss in both ears, but severe in my right ear with tinnitus. My question is : Is the Resound ONE HA adequate for below a certain level of hearing loss? My HA specialist says they are NOT and is encouraging me to swap the receivers for HP, (non ONE) receivers to get the best perfomance. My good ear hearing starts to drop significantly at about 3K (60 DB) and drops further to 75 db at 4k. My right ear is considerably worse. Is there something better now? Thanks again for all you do for us!
Was hoping to hear if the Resound One can simultaneously connect to two devices at once. My current Quattro cannot. So I have to disconnect BT from my iPhone before turning on BT on my iPad.
What have you experienced Dr Cliff with your patients and the GN Resound ONE? Has that 3rd mic helped in noisy environments with your patient's ability to hear speech as an example? What about music, usually a strong point with Resound HA. Thank you
Hi Dr. Cliff! I am a brand new C.I recipient as of 6/13/23, waiting to be "turned on" 7/21/23. I will be bi-modal and have already been told that the ReSound will be my new hearing aid, Do you KNOW which model is most commonly used with the C.I and has the best features included? Thank You!
Sir would you mind to add some info like "this device cost 5000 dolars"i mean the price of the actual thing like the way they do when introducing new i phone😯😯😯
The prices will vary greatly between providers. It depends if you get an all-inclusive plan (also known as bundled) or a pay-per-visit one (unbundled).
If it helps at all - my pair was $6400, which includes follow-up visits/adjustments. My insurance covered a large portion of it thankfully and thanks to a recent middle ear surgery I did not have much left on my out of pocket max, so timing of my purchase really helped keep my own cost down. Something to consider for those of you that have insurance coverage of hearing aids.
Hey Dr. Cliff, Great review! I like it a lot :) If you want to see more gain handles (17) try to install International version of the fitting software instead of US one.
I’ve had the Links for almost 7 years. This ReSound One with M&RIE seems like a major game changer. Has it been out long enough to work out the kinks and for me to buy this new model?
Why do my resound one hearing aids keep quiting on me. It is usually the right one now it is the left one. How do I get them to start up. They were plugged in over night and the left one lasted 3 hrs. How do I get them to work properly.
I do know I'm way overdue for an adjustment to my current hearing aids and possibly upgrading to a new set. With all of the info that you have presented in all of your videos I'm now on overload. How do I sort through and my a thoughtful decision without trying on several different hearing aids to determine best fit for my hearing needs.
With a very careful review of your wants and needs with your hearimg care professional. You also have to keep in mind the expertise level of your provider with each brand. This can make or break your performance.
So, if I understood your response correctly....about whether the ReSound will allow simultaneous connection of two devices.....it does not, yet, allow this multi-connect, right? But the Phonak Paradise does? Then.....if I am on BT with my IPAD, I would have to disconnect from IPAD and connect to IPHONE to answer? Is this right? Could you please how this works? Seems cumbersome. I am getting ReSound in two weeks.....first ever to wear HAs.....and I want to make sure, before I sign off, whether the Phoak Paradise might be a better choice.
Do you know if Resound One can be connected to iPad directly with Bluetooth Le like the new Phonak that you did the review on? Connecting through accessibility has so many limitations.
I currently have resound behind ear with custom molds. My issues have not been performance but terrible reliability. Of the major brands did you find or review one that excelled in reliability. I am going to buy a new set and will probably stick with battery so as to have less issues. John K
I'm not a candidate for the m&rie receivers as I currently use a resound quattro HP & UP receiver setup. But out of curiosity, would the pinna effect work with me as I have been born deaf and worn hearing aids since birth? My reasoning is that my brain hasn't had the chance to adapt to my pinna's in a natural way....
I've been using Resound GN for the past 6 months and I can't tell you how disappointed I am in these hearing aids 😔 I've made over 12 different trips to the clinic due to so many inconveniences. I found the custome molds could never sit in place so I opted for a Power Dome which is great and all but they get super itchy. I've learned to live with it, and at other times I don't even notice it anymore. The reciever on my right ear had to be swapped 2 times and now my left hearing aid is also needing a swap. In a matter of 6 months though? Is this normal? I tend to get a lot of wax build up so the M&RIE microphone (in canal) needs to be cleaned consistently, or swapped out with a new one. When I brush the microphone it makes the sound quality muffled or mute. I'm still able to hear rustling sounds but there is no sound coming in, they sound plugged up. So now, no matter how I clean them they end up worse. I usually have to run to the bathroom in the middle of work and be gone for 10 mins because I'm desperately trying to get them clean. I've left work to visit my hearing aid tech 4 different times to get them fixed. Not to mention the program of my hearing aid at one point was not "fit" to the dome. Which meant I was living in "Restuarant Mode" in a closed dome for one month. Until we switched to a power dome AND power dome setting...it completely changed the game. But maintanence of the Resound GN is way too high, too time consuming and not reliable for someone who lives an active and busy lifestyle. I've been so thrown off by Resounds GN that I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'm 29 yrs old, work 2 jobs, live a super busy life style and I don't have time to be going in 2-3 times a month to get them cleaned or fixed. Nevermind stepping away from the dinner table or my job to hide in a bathroom to clean them. What kind of life is that? 😮💨 Sorry for rambling, is there anyone out there who can relate?! Or do I just have terrible luck?! I need a change and I would love to hear your suggestion 😥
I have ReSound GN's from Costco with the power domes since 3/2019. Have been back numerous times to 'adjust' the programing. Have had complete re do of the hearing test, new higher power "receivers w/power domes and a number of gain and feedback adjustments. I think the problem(s) is the possible slight inconsistency in the providers adjustment technique especially the "real ear" adjustments.
Hi Dr. Cliff, Really love your videos and they have been extremely helpful in deciding on new hearing aids. Costco just released a similar if not identical hearing aid, the Jabra Enhanced Pro. They are $1,800 a pair for premium level. The Resound One from my Audiologist ( U Miami Dept of Audiology, the Ear Center) is a wapping $7,200 per pair for premium Technology. I'm conflicted in what to do given the price difference since I have never bought hearing aids from Costco. I called Costco and was told that the Jabra is identical to the Resound One so can't figure out why there is such an enormous price difference unless I'm missing something that I should know about. Any thing you can add or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Bill
Hi Bill. I just got the Jabra Enhanced Pro hearing aids from Costco, and they are great! Many forum discussions claim they are the exact same as the Resound One, though Costco will not enable the Tinnitus Sound Generator (sound masking) feature on the hearing aids. This feature can be enabled if you are willing to perform some DIY programming with a Noahlink Wireless device (I have done this), which most people are not willing to do. There may be a few other features that are only available in the Resound One hearing aids, but your needs would have to be very specific to justify the additional cost. FYI, the Jabra hearing aids work with all the Resound accessories like the Phone Clip+, the TV Streamer, and others. Make sure your audiogram fits the performance of these hearing aids before buying as the M&RIE receivers can only accommodate up to moderate hearing loss towards the high frequencies. Good luck!
Will this in-ear microphone work on all types of hearing loss? I have reverse slope hearing loss and so often hear my environment sounding like it’s coming through the fan.
I'm from Brazil and I have a Resound Linx 3 since 2014 and I'll buy a Resound One. Someone could say me how much a pair of Resound One and where can I buy. In Brazil is very expensive. Thank you for your video. Congratulations !!!
Hello, I am from India, going to fit Resound One 9 series with M& RIE next week. Your video has enhanced my knowledge. I want to know more in detail what extra benefit it has when fitted without M&RIE over Linx Quattro.
Hello Dr. Cliff, I have one sided hearing loss due to acoustic neuroma and surgery thereafter and high frequency hearing loss in the other ear. I currently wear Hansaton BICROS and it is very helpful in the office environment and in the conference room meetings as it overcomes the shadow effect. Do ReSound One offer BICROS version or a single hearing aid is sufficient?
Great viedo Cliff! How very exciting and I think I have the Resound Linx now, and they''ll be two years old in January. I love the Bluetooth connectivity, but found their rechargeable unit pretty useless, so I returned it for a battery version. Sounds like you now might be able to treat customers out of state with this remote service, be interested in seeing how that works out for you in the coming months.
Thanks for the information on (hopefully) my update from my current Lynx 3d. I'm guessing that the M&RIE feature won't be possible for those of us requiring custom earmolds.
Hi Dr Cliff.. Just to correct your info, M&RIE receiver at ReSound One is not the first in the world to offer a mic placed at the receiver in the ear. Eartechnic is the first brand in the world to offer such a system and it's called TIE (Trandsceuer In the Ear) which was launched late 2019.. you may do some Google Search to find more info.
This Feature is possible only when u have great feedback cancellation .. ReSound is known for that . Its a great solution with amazing end user solution ..
Dr. Cliff. You mentioned that it is compatible with Cochlear America. I'll be having a cochlear implant surgery in the near future. Do you by any chance have a review on the Kanso 2? If not, it would be great if you could have a review on the Kanso 2. Thank you for all the reviews that you do.
If the user his low frequency threshold is better than 30 db, dose he can use M&RIE with open dome without feedback? if he use M&RIE with new close dome , dose he feel occulsion and worse listening experience? thanks!
Again, Doctor Cliff, AuD, great review with good detail with your observations. Question: If I get the ONE, with a custom (silicone) ear mold, do you know if that would include a custom fitted tube that would snug my pinna and less likely to stick out as the issue you had too? One of my ears seems to be right in between their current tube sizes, one fitting too tightly and the other sticking out and having to keep pushing it in.
@@DrCliffAuD But, since ReSound would know their M&RIE receivers are longer, wouldn't it be a correct assumption that they would have designed a new shorter connecting wire/tube just for it, in order to keep it at the same distance out from the ear canal as the wire/tubes used with the standard receivers?
Cliff, is the Jabra Enhance Pro that is sold at Costco similar to the Resound one? They both fall under the GN family, both one button, 3 models, optional charging case? The Jabra branded is New to Costco. It has all the features I want in a rechargeable set of units also with contacts showing when charging. Thanks
@@DrCliffAuD I have spoken with a friend who did get them and was very happy with them. I haven’t been able to find any reviews on them. They look good and I know it does depend on who I get at Costco. Like so many others I am on a budget. I am doing this while the VA decides if they will accept my claim.(which can take up to a year and still need appeals. Thank you for all you do and your quick response.
this is big for me is resound the only one that needs a retainer filiment? I have an old unitron moxi and the retainer element has been nothing but a pain
Hello Dr. Cliff. Thanks for your informative video. I'm a hearing aid user and a cochlear implant user (Cochlear brand). I asked Resound about their Bluetooth plans, and they responded saying the ONE would be upgraded to Bluetooth 5.2 from their current 5.0 when it comes out. I then asked if hands-free calling would be supported, and they unfortunately told me no. I asked them to pass along feedback for their next generation Resound device to have this capability. I assume the reason is that there needs to be a microphone in the hearing aid that is set up to pick up our voice and that the current ONE does not have this. Do you happen to know if that might be the reason? Thank you so much! ~Patrick in Los Angeles, CA
So for for four years i was wearing a Lynx 2 and only minor issues really. I thought i would upgrade for better technology. I ordered the Lynx Quatro 5. I had all sorts of problems with feedback and sound quality. My hearing aid people tried me in a few others. After while i moved up a level in cost. I tried the everything from Phonak, Signia, Widex and non of them worked great. I did not try the upper level of Resound she blamed the fitting model for the issues and said they would likely be the same. After 6 months of trying new aids and sending them back I was tired of time spent so i had them clean my Resound Lynx 2 and reprogram them. In your opinion is it the hearing aid or the professional? Should i have that much trouble changing to a new hearing aid?
I have nerve damage and get a tinny static effect when I am talking and with others, especially, women and children. This happens no matter what hearing aids I try. Hearing aids can actually boost this effect if they are programmed according to my audio-gram. So when I try a new hearing aid they are consistently programmed too strong or hot as I call it, because many audiologists just don't get it. So I go back and have them turn them turn the aids down and adjust down some of the mid-range which they resist because it is not optimal according to the test, but this reduces that static effect which improves my understanding. You may have an issue like this and so you have to be firm with the audiologist because they can not hear what you are hearing. That being said, I use Resounds that are similar to Lynx 3d and have found that Resound has the best app that gives you more control and connects best to my phone compared to Widex, Signia and Phonak. Stay with Resound. You should be using at least the Quattro 7. I would try the Resound Preza at Costco or the Vida if you are on a tight budget. The Preza is built on the same platform as the Quattro 9 but will be about 2000 dollars cheaper from Costco versus mail order for the Quattro, plus you have 6 months to try them or turn them back for immediate credit. Costco uses real ear measurements. You will need to wear a mask to go with the Covid around. Check reviews. All Costco hearing centers are not the same. Ask for the Senior Audio technician to get the most experience. Finally, Costco hearing aids do not have tinnitus generators. If you need this, you can use the Resound Tinnitus app which gives you a broad sprectrum of sounds to use with you aids for 6.99 a month.
Is the ReSound One the same as the same as the AGX R. ? My hearing aid professional is wanting to put me in the AGX R and said they are the same thing but I am not buying it. I feel it’s an aftermarket or a second off. Should I ask for the Resound One? They also said Widex was a great aid for my Tinnitus but when when I was in the office and tried one all I heard was circuit noise. Not sure what direction I should go. I’ve seen your videos and respect your thoughts and opinions.
Yes, the AGX-R is identical in every way except that they are locked. I never recommend that you purchase locked devices that you can't have serviced elsewhere. Request the NON-AGX version or go elsewhere would be my recommendation.
What is happening on that drug you have talked about to heal your hearing if I remember correctly you said in sept you would have some news about this breakthrough drug.
Dr. Cliff: do you have any idea when they will offer this model in a custom ? I am needing to replace my verso's and wanted to get the latest technology which I think is Quattro's for now but, would like Ones in a custom.
The only downside is teeny tiny ear canals can’t fit the RIC... 😭 I hope they will make a BTE option that will allow a custom mold and no RIC. I could barely fit them in my ears but I loved my original Resound HAs.
Great video, as always! Trying to decide between the ReSound One and the Phonak Audeo Paradise. In your opinion, which is the easier to live with? I wear glasses for reading and computer work and my hearing loss is in the severe range. Thanks
Joyce Miller I tried them both on Monday. Pretty quickly. Never wore hearing aids before. I could hear very much the same with both. My own voice sounded weird with Phonak but normal with resound. I do like the Phonak Bluetooth features though. And I tried them on so fast, I didn’t notice size and shape difference. I have very short hair. Don’t know if sound quality of my voice is simply a matter of adjustments or not.
Hi Cliff. You mention LE Audio but you also say that we'll need to talk into the phone or use an intermediate device. LE Audio should enable hands free communication. Do you know more about this?
... and has future compatibility with LE Audio been specifically stated by anyone at Resound? People are assuming that because the Resound ONE has Bluetooth 5.2 hardware it definitely can be updated to LE Audio. Two things about that. BT 5.2 may be necessary but is it sufficient? And even if it is, Resound will still need to make and distribute the update. Is there a commitment to do so? What can you tell us?
I wish sometimes he would do a comparison between the latest technology like Resound 1 versus Phonak Paradise. Yes I know people have their different opinions but I would still like to see what his opinion would be of his usage of both brands with the latest technology.

Hi Dr Cliff, Is this suitable for severe to profound hearing loss? Does people like with severe to profound hearing loss may benefit a lot from these hearing aids? i am currently a pHonak audeo M70 HA user. thanks. hopeyou will notice me.
You talked about everything except whether the microphone in the receiver improves the ability to hear. Isn't that the main issue? You said nothing about that.
this is where good Feedback cancellation comes in to the picture .. ReSound is known to have best Feedback cancellation thats why they could come up with such MARIE receivers /
Your presentation on p90 is quiet different than Kirkland 10. You know are almost same. I would like your presentation to justify diffence in cost outside vs Costco for same brand.I understand Costco has volume advantage. But not $1400 vs $6000. Thanks
Bimodal simply means using one CI and one Hearing Aid together at the same time on different ears. Some hearing aids pair with a Cochlear Implant. In this case, Resound pairs with a Cochlear Americas CI.
@@DrCliffAuD Thank you I'm new to the cochlear Implant terms. I've had the n7 for close to a year. This is good news for me because I'm getting fitted for a resound one in 2 weeks. Thanks for replying back.
Dr Cliff, you should do a new video on how bad the Bluetooth connection is the resound one. HORRIBLE is an understatement. To think I spent thousands of dollars on these makes me sick. Try to save some other people from going ripped off.
Picked up a pair yesterday (my first ever hearing aids). Amazed by how much better I can hear! I have the same issue as you though - the wire is not flush and keeps popping out (using the smallest wire and that extra plastic wire thing). Additionally, I was not able to get the M&RI, as it simply would not fit in my ear (I've been told I have very small and tortuous ear canals), instead I have the standard one to avoid the pain from pushing it into my ear drums. I am considering swapping them out for the Phonak Paradise to see if they will fit better, and will discuss this with my hearing aid provider. Thoughts? I also somewhat feels like it makes less sense to have the Resound One's when I'm forced to have the standard receiver.
@@tubeguy2448 Yes. I ended up trying three different HAs for a while: Resound ONE, Phonak Paradise and Starkey Picasso IIC. I decided to keep the Phonak and Starkey ones. Phonak feedback: * Better fit in/on my ears (stays inside, versus popping out and wires not being flush) * Ability to have phone call without having to talk into the phone (HA picks up sound) is nice. Not a feature with Resound ONE * The Bluetooth functionality is not great in my opinion. Yes, you can connect to two devices simultaneously but in my example (cell and laptop), if I'm getting a notification on my phone, it will automatically start playing my TH-cam that I have paused on the laptop...reached out to phonak but their suggestion did not resolve it. * The charging case in giant in my opinion (I travel and need it). * I prefer the charging mechanism of the Resound - you just drop them in. The Phonak's require the actual connection and are harder to get in/out. Not a big deal to me, but likely for many. * The sound was acceptable on both for me but I feel that perhaps the sound is less metallic/synthetic on the Phonak's. Keep in mind I did not have the M&RI receiver as it didn't fit in my ear. I'm sure I forgot something but hopefully this helps 😁
@@JohannaHaggstrom Thank you for this helpful feedback. I’m helping a friend decide. He’s using been using the Resound One for three days now and he is very happy with them. I agree with the wires not being flush and the need to use the phone when answering calls being an inconvenience. Other than that the technology is impressive. Hearing wise they are great. He can follow a normal conversation in a restaurant now. And he has almost 75% hearing losson both sides !! Next week he will be using the Phonak Paradise P90. I think the integrated microphone and the ability to answer the phone with a tab like on wireless earbuds will make the Phonak win over the Resound. The charging case on the Resound is sleek and travel friendly.
HI Cliff, I'm a french audiologist, I try adapting this hearing aid to some of my patient. It's so so big on the ear, and even with the m&rie, the feeling comparably to a paradise sound, or a pure from Signia is almost the same. I was decepointe about it. In the noise, the RSB is good, but we have the same result as a Paradise or a Pure. I want to have your opinion. I was thinking about a revolution to have microphone in the ear and on the top of the ear, that's not what I see in the real life . Thanks you for this video, Hope you respond to my comment !!
I have been using Resound One's for a few months, had to have custom molds made with "levers", domes would not stay in ears. I play a Flamenco-type nylon string guitar. With hearing aids in, I get unpleasant "reverb" sounds from guitar strings (not "fret buzz"). Without hearing aids, guitar sound is normal, no odd "reverb". I'm hoping my audiologist can tune the odd sounds out, or I'll have to play it without hearing aids.
These hearing aids are a huge disappointment. My first clue was when I returned for my first follow up after wearing them for a week. The audiologist called my name and I heard from in front of me and she was behind me. So right off the bat localization doesn’t work. Wind noise is not reduced at and in some directions is amplified. I don’t notice any reduction in background noise in restaurants. Even if I change the program manually there is minimal improvement. I have had numerous problems with feedback which are ongoing despite numerous visits to the audiologist. I also have a vibrato in the hearing aid when playing oboe which shouldn’t be there. This is my 4th pair of hearing aids. I had much better results with Costco hearing aids at 1/3 the price.

How does this compare to Costco's Jabra Enhance Pro As I understand it is a "rename" of the Resound One.
Congratulations! 100.000🎉
Yes congratulations. I've learned alot from this channel.
Dr. Cliff,
Thanks for the review.
(The Signia Styletto may be on to something here, not just with trying to be trendy with that slimmer shape)
Now that ReSound is advertising the ONE designed to use our own unique Pinna's, perhaps we can ENCOURAGE them as a next step to provide a better size selection of their receiver tubes if not customize a uniquely shaped tube for our own pinna without having to go with a custom ear mold.
I’m the first in my clinic to be fitted for these. So excited!
Superb Peice of Hearing Aids . ReSound has always been pioneer in giving new technology and features .. Whether is wireless Hearing Aid , wireless programming , Phone and TV connectivity .. This time its way ahead of time ...
So, can one have custom ear mold with M&RIE?
Hi! Is it still good? My audiologist offered this resound.
Phonak Paradise can in terms of simultaneously connecting to more than one devices at the same time.
Excellent detailed review and nice fast pace. Thanks!
Thank You!
Your videos are amazing I was waiting for this one . Because I’m getting The ReSound ONE Hearing Aids.
You'll love them. Very impressive devices. 👏
Doctor Cliff, AuD thanks 🙏🏾 I’m very excited
Sir would you mind to add some info like "this device cost 5000 dolars"i mean the price of the actual thing like the way they do when introducing new i phone😯😯😯
The prices will vary greatly between providers. It depends if you get an all-inclusive plan (also known as bundled) or a pay-per-visit one (unbundled).
Yep, way too much variation to even attempt to discuss pricing.
Ooo now i get it🤙🏽😯
If it helps at all - my pair was $6400, which includes follow-up visits/adjustments. My insurance covered a large portion of it thankfully and thanks to a recent middle ear surgery I did not have much left on my out of pocket max, so timing of my purchase really helped keep my own cost down. Something to consider for those of you that have insurance coverage of hearing aids.
Johanna Häggström $6400 is such a steal I’ll take 2 pairs
Hey Dr. Cliff,
Great review! I like it a lot :)
If you want to see more gain handles (17) try to install International version of the fitting software instead of US one.
Peux tu faire une vidéo sur les appareils auditifs « WIDEX Moment 440 » please ?
Sir
I have the same problem as mentioned about the ReSound wire not remaining flush to the ear.
How do I fix this??’!!?
Thanks!
Resound makes two types of the same wire size, for example, 1A and 1B, with B being millimeter smaller. You may need to try type B.
Yes, it can connect to your iPad directly.
This is MFI
My charger is no longer working. can i get inside to change the batteries. It is three years old.
Resound key 4 or Resound one.
Which is better please?
What’s your opinion of the resound one vs phonak audeo paradise?
Can't wait to watch this!
@Doctor Cliff, can you make a video comparing ReSound ONE vs Oticon MORE?
Get oticon. It's way better
How do you change the battery on this model
I've been using Resound GN for the past 6 months and I can't tell you how disappointed I am in these hearing aids 😔
I've made over 12 different trips to the clinic due to so many inconveniences.
Sorry for rambling, is there anyone out there who can relate?!
Adriana I didn't like it,either.
My old phonac q50 is better
Does Resound One use LE audio LC3 bluetooth? Does it support multiple synchronous devices? Which iPhones if any also support this protocol? Thank you.
Hi Dr. Cliff,
Really love your videos and they have been extremely helpful in deciding on new hearing aids.
Thanks, its nice to know it will also work with Cochlear Nucleus 7.
yes and many Accesories are also compitable
Audiologist put mine on hold till they fix the software issue with Apple. Resound told them about the issue.
Hello, I am from India, going to fit Resound One 9 series with M& RIE next week. Your video has enhanced my knowledge. I want to know more in detail what extra benefit it has when fitted without M&RIE over Linx Quattro.
Hello Dr. Cliff,
I have one sided hearing loss due to acoustic neuroma and surgery thereafter and high frequency hearing loss in the other ear. I currently wear Hansaton BICROS and it is very helpful in the office environment and in the conference room meetings as it overcomes the shadow effect. Do ReSound One offer BICROS version or a single hearing aid is sufficient?
They do not offer CROS. I would encourage you to look at Oticon or Signia.
They can do silicone earmolds, but they are not able to make Embedded Acrylic molds.
Sorry Michael, I do not.
Question:
If I get the ONE, with a custom (silicone) ear mold, do you know if that would include a custom fitted tube that would snug my pinna and less likely to stick out as the issue you had too? One of my ears seems to be right in between their current tube sizes, one fitting too tightly and the other sticking out and having to keep pushing it in.
The M&RIE receivers are goimg to stick out further regardless. They are definitely longer than standard receivers even with a custom mold.
@@DrCliffAuD But, since ReSound would know their M&RIE receivers are longer, wouldn't it be a correct assumption that they would have designed a new shorter connecting wire/tube just for it, in order to keep it at the same distance out from the ear canal as the wire/tubes used with the standard receivers?
any news on Resound not working with Android 12 being the latest Google Pixel phone ie 6
Thanks
Yes it is similar, however I haven't tested it personally.
Sir why my left ear audiogram starts from 25db at 250hz but fluctuates between 10-15 decibel from 1000hz to 8000hz
Is it still worth? My audiologist offered this hearing aid.
Do fully in ear aids do the same in regards to the pinna effect or does the mic need to be deeper inside
You get the pinna effect with in the ear hearing aids.
FX 322. I will be talking with Frequency Therapeutics today.
Will these be compatible when using a cochlear in one ear and the resound in the other?
Yes
Dr. Cliff: do you have any idea when they will offer this model in a custom ? I am needing to replace my verso's and wanted to get the latest technology which I think is Quattro's for now but, would like Ones in a custom.
I cannot comment about future releases.

Microphone in ear mean that I could hear the phone better? I can't always use Bluetooth and then its impossible with some peoples voices.
Yes, it could help.
Thanks. This was super helpful.
Thanks
Thanks Joyce! Sorry, but I cannot comment on which would be more appropriate for you specifically unless you were my patient.
No worries, guess I’ll just have to make that trip to Phoenix!
I’m trying to make the same decision. Which did you go with? Are you happy?
Hi Lesley, I haven’t decided as yet - the Resound One is not available locally, so I am waiting until I can compare the two.
Does anyone know how to stop others from connecting to my aids bluetooth?
How does this compare with the revised Signia Styletto?
The new Styletto X is great, but a completely different concept for a hearing aid.
Doctor Cliff, AuD
How does it differ?
Tech wise, is this better than the OPN S?
Yes .. It has MARIE receiver which enables u to hear better in several difficult situations
So the doctor wants me to get these but with a ear mold..
Is that right or not? I am so confused
Minor point, Resound App is compatible with Android 10, will not work with my Tracfone which has Android 7 unless there is a workaround.
thanks for the review)
Hi Cliff. You mention LE Audio but you also say that we'll need to talk into the phone or use an intermediate device. LE Audio should enable hands free communication. Do you know more about this?
This is informative but a lot to process
... and has future compatibility with LE Audio been specifically stated by anyone at Resound? People are assuming that because the Resound ONE has Bluetooth 5.2 hardware it definitely can be updated to LE Audio. Two things about that. BT 5.2 may be necessary but is it sufficient? And even if it is, Resound will still need to make and distribute the update. Is there a commitment to do so? What can you tell us?
Great video, the elf thing got a chuckle too
Cost please? From India.
I wish sometimes he would do a comparison between the latest technology like Resound 1 versus Phonak Paradise. Yes I know people have their different opinions but I would still like to see what his opinion would be of his usage of both brands with the latest technology.
Sorry, I would be doing so many comparisons that I would have to give up sleep or my marriage. 🤣

Thanks
I wear a cochlear implant...what what do you mean the resound is a bi - model setup.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the ONEs, but the things that you mention warrant trying something without the fit issues.
Any update on the phonak if you’ve tried them of course?
@@tubeguy2448 Yes. I ended up trying three different HAs for a while: Resound ONE, Phonak Paradise and Starkey Picasso IIC. I decided to keep the Phonak and Starkey ones.
Phonak feedback:
* Better fit in/on my ears (stays inside, versus popping out and wires not being flush)
* Ability to have phone call without having to talk into the phone (HA picks up sound) is nice. Not a feature with Resound ONE
* The Bluetooth functionality is not great in my opinion.
@@tubeguy2448 best of luck to your friend - they are both great HAs.
Another filter the user have to change, haha. Maybe I'll give them a try, I can't stand the fitting program tho.
Why done hearing aid providers make them look like elf ears?
Why don’t they just put all that technology in an ITC style HA?
Size. Space is the issue.
Feeling Tired of Resound HA.... Resound ( India ) perhaps does not care about the problems faced by its customers & does not have faith in their feedback. My son has used many HA since 30 years. This is first time that he is using Resound HA - Quattro 7 RIC but feeling frustrated on response of Resound. Left Quattro 7 HA having multiple problems - has been sent for repairs to their Mumbai office 4 timed in last 3 months but issues falling on deaf ears.Delay in service is acceptable but not casual response of company like Resound.
No body from their Social Media team seems to be worried / concerned about the problems being faced.
it pushes your ear out a little. I don't prefer it.
Thanks for sharing.
Waiting for a hearing aid company to have a built-in GPS so I can find that expensive piece of technology when it gets lost....and they do get lost.
As long as the HA is on, Resound can find your last location the HA was at. It also has a GPS feature that changes programs based on my Geo location
Widex has this built in the app
@@bravejones3941 thanks,Chris and Brave........having lost two hearing aid, (one fell off my ear into the snow when taking my hat off) I get gun shy about buying wearing hearing aids now.
I bet a lot of people have no idea that GPS is in hearing aids or know how they work........how about a talk on hearing aid GPS Dr.Cliff ?
Resound Linx Quattro has in-built GPS that can be spotted and located easily on iPhone app.
ReSound has that feature for almost 5 years now ..
