If Frankfurt was comfortably better over both legs, why did it end 4-3 on aggregate (really close), with 1 Frankfurt goal being a penalty and 2 of them being wonder strikes from outside the box (i.e. very lucky)? What, you guys didn't see the first leg where they carved them up, but simply didn't take their chances? This game reminded me of Game 2 of that Liverpool series in 2019. They just looked, faster, stronger, and kept coming at Barcelona all night. The scoreline could have been 5-1 Eintracht, and they would not have been flattered by it. Instead of chasing the 20th striker and winger, Barcelona should look to invest on fullbacks and centerbacks with PACE and size, and defensive midfielders who can cover ground. They look absolutely foolish for letting Ilaix leave over 2 million. Barcelona were outplayed by Eintracht at Camp Nou. lol. Created so many chances, could've been 5-0 up before 70th min. everytime they run in counter-attack, they looked dangerous. Beat Bayern in October, now Barca. Barca arent really there yet. Auba, Torres and Traore arent really top quality and not enough for Barca if they want to improve.
Wow, idk him before, but now I know how narcistic this guy. Even when facing Bayern (that ending with losing) he said no chance Barca lost to Bayern. Did he really think Barcelona is unbeatable? I can see anyclub losing a game. Its football, anything can happen. AS RM fans, I have much resepct for Guardiola even when he is a nightmares for us. Pep always respect every club and their managers he against with... He also know their limit, that he can loose a game if didnt play well..
Why would us real Barcelona fans defend them? They lost. Deserved to lose. And the socis should be ashamed of themselves for selling their tickets. They should be kicked out of the club. But a real fan would not defend this travesty.
I don't believe nobody has seen this coming. All of the Barcelona accounts on Twitter I follow were upset after the draw because Frankfurt are *precisely* the team Barcelona are vulnerable to with their style of play. Having said that I want to share my thoughts after the game. Before that I want to congratulate Frankfurt. They deserved to go through and I want to make that clear at the start. With that out the way, I want to address Barcelona and their situation. Right now all of the media are going crazy: Barcelona are one of Europe's elites - if a club like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, etc. gets beaten then they get loads of headlines talking about it like a crisis and the end of the world simply because it sells. You also get loads of trolls on social media. For any neutrals who didn't watch the match and are looking at this result wondering if Barcelona have 'done it again', I want to assure you that this (at least to me) didn't feel like anything for Barcelona to be particularly worried about. To preface, there are two feelings you can get after a knock-out loss in Europe. One feeling is a general sentiment of 'oh well, this sucks but it doesn't mean the end of the world, our club is still good, we go again', whilst the other feeling is 'there is something seriously wrong with this team, this is a sign of things to come unless there is drastic change.' Barcelona's recent Champion's League results have been the latter. The loss against Juventus in 2017, Roma in 2018, Liverpool in 2019, Bayern in 2020 and PSG in 2021 all felt like 'this team is sick, it drastically needs to change'. Tonight, it did not feel like that at all. Instead this felt like it was a blip, a one off, like you could play this match 10 times and Barcelona would win at least 7 or 8 times. If you played the Bayern game in 2020 10 times then Barcelona lost every single time, but play tonight's Frankfurt game 10 times and Barcelona win. Tonight was not a European capitulation to be worried about, instead it was a closely contested game that came down to tiny margins. I'm sure many people have played Football Manager. Sometimes when playing Football Manager you will be on great form: Winning every game, 15 match unbeaten run, then out of nowhere you have a loss where just everything goes wrong and it's completely inexplicable. There's no reason for it, it just hits you like a brick wall. After the loss, you pick yourself up and continue. That's what tonight feels like for Barcelona. Just a night where nothing went their way. In football a lot of it is small details - in most matches, the small details balance out. Take, for instance, the weekend game against Levante. They got 3 penalties, but Barcelona got a last second goal. The small details balanced out. Tonight *everything* went in favour of Frankfurt and yet they still only won by a single goal, which I think is just more random chance than anything else. To break it down in detail: The first thing to go wrong was the timing of the match. Today in Spain is Semana Santa, a Catholic festival. For those who haven't lived in Spain, you won't realise that it's actually quite a big deal. As a result, many socios (season ticket holders, club members) didn't go to the match and so sold their tickets. Lots of Frankfurt fans bought those tickets. This led to a disaster before kick-off: There were 30,000 Frankfurt fans, which was almost 50% of the entire people in Camp Nou this evening. This translated onto the pitch. When Frankfurt were given a penalty in 2 minutes, the Camp Nou erupted in cheers and applause. When Barcelona had possession late in the game looking for a last minute goal, their players were being whistled and booed. It was like an away game for the Barcelona players. There needs to be an inquest into this from the club. Next, Frankfurt get a penalty 2 minutes in. It was a penalty, but it was awful luck for Barcelona. This then conditioned the rest of the game - Frankfurt sat back and defended, hitting Barcelona on the counter (rather than playing expansive), which is what led to both of their other goals. Without that penalty, you don't get their two other goals. Next, Pedri went off injured. He was quiet in the first-half and we found out why when he went off at half time and didn't return. He has an injury and looks like he's out for the season. Next, Aubameyang was having an off day. Probably the two clearest chances for either team in the entire match - even more clear than any of the open play goals that were scored - both fell to Aubameyang and he missed them both. Absolute sitters. The first was a header in the 9th minute, the second was early in the second half where he miss-kicked a cross. Any other day he's scoring them both. Next, the VAR broke. Barcelona had a penalty appeal, one of the Frankfurt players handballed it inside his own box. They were unable to check VAR because the monitor broke so didn't give the penalty. It was more contact than Alonso had against Madrid on Tuesday and so if they disallowed Alonso's goal on Tuesday then they should have given Barcelona that penalty today. Finally, Busquets scored but was offside by a few CM. That's how close the margins were in this match. Oh, and let's not forget that of the 4 goals Frankfurt scored over the 2 legs, 2 of those goals were complete golazos. The sort of strikes that go in only once in a thousand tries. It's not like they carved up clear chances and took them, they were both wonder goals from outside the box. They absolutely count, but if people think Barcelona are 'finished' on the basis of conceding two absolute freak goals, a penalty and a normal goal then idk what to tell you. Barcelona won't be conceding those sorts of goals every week. I'm not saying all of this to take away from Frankfurt's win. They deserved to win on the day. I'm saying all of this so that people who didn't watch the match, who might see the scoreline and all the headlines trying to make sales, and all the drama and overreaction and hyperbole, know the truth: This was not the end of the world for Barcelona. Everyone is going to tell you Barcelona are a finished team. The mainstream media do it to make sales and clicks. Trolls do it because they're trolls. It isn't the case. This was a scenario where, just out of pure bad luck, every single thing went against Barcelona and they still managed to only lose by 1 goal. It's like if you made a simulations and purposely made it so that every minor detail under a microscope was in-place for Barcelona to lose. As such, we can put this down to fluke. Xavi's Barcelona still remain a good team with a lot of room to grow on an upwards trajectory. Don't write them off after this one game. Any other day and Barcelona win this match. A 'bad luck' decision goes the other way - Busquets being a few cm onside instead of off, VAR being fixed so that Barcelona get the penalty, Garcia not giving away a penalty in 2 minutes, Aubameyang scoring one of those sitters - and Barcelona are 3-3 tonight instead of losing 2-3. This result was not another Roma/Liverpool/Bayern. Those matches were not close and didn't go down to tiny bad luck decisions like tonight did. Barcelona have just gone 15 games unbeaten, *comfortably* dispatching Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Napoli, Athletic Club and Valencia in the process. Those games, where they scored multiple goals and were in the driving seat against the best teams, are a much better indication of the direction Barcelona are heading in than a single game where they lost by a single goal and with tiny margins such as conceding 30 yard golazos and a penalty, not being given a penalty, having a goal disallowed, missing sitters and having the best player injured.
I did not read everything. But it was definetley not a pen and the alonso comparison lacks. There are different rules for when it is a handball when you are defending. As a defender it matters the ball touching your hand after it gets deflected from your knee while somone is rushing into you..
@@oluwilliams7591 From all of the angles I have seen, the defender slaps the ball away from Torres and to his feet. That is, at the very least, worth a check (which they didn't do because the monitor was conveniently broken).
I agree with everything you said pretty much. Barcelona are going to bounce back from this, it's too bad that people are going to think that they are finished. Only thing I don't get is why was there 10 minutes of added time, like I think it was too much in my opinion. Like what was the reason for it to be 10 mins?

@@rikkidgermano9640 Barca got always probs playing vs strong defending, high pressing and counter attacking teams (i.e. Betis and Galatasary just to name two more beside Frankfurt). Possession don't scores and tiki-taka is worthless vs athletic teams with fullbacks like Hinteregger or lightning speed wingers like Kostic or knauff. All are wondering how could have Frankfurt more shots and shots on target by having only 25% possession? Simply to answer. They don't play the ball 100.000 times around the midfields circle just for having possession until the opposit team has got his defence formation placed. Frankfurt allowed Barca having possession where it didn't disturb (at Barcas own half, around midfields circle and on wings where Frankfurt attacked the ball with two or three players to get it back for highspeed counter attacks). Second Frankfurt goal was a winning back ball at the wing and after two contacts (Kostic, Borre) followed the shot on goal. Third goal .. throw in, ball came to Borre forwarded by header to Kamada, forwarded to Kostic, shot on goal .From throw in to shot on goal it lasted max 10-12 seconds. Almost same with second Frankfurt goal from winning back ball at the wing up to shot on goal max 10 seconds. And these were only the scores (besidethe penalty). Same with shots without scores by Knauff, Lindström, Jakic and Borré as well. And Barcas answer? Playing the ball around midfields circle till they loose the ball on one ofthe wings or by Frankfurts pressing. After first leg in Franfurt where Barca had a more than lucky 1:1 draw, trainer and team hadthe opportunity to take their learning outcome, but they ignored it by thinking 'we are Barca and will handle it at home'. Without thinking about strategy they trusted in their style of having possession and playing tiki-taka. That's why Barca was theses weeks perfectly made for loosing vs Frankfurt.

One feeling is a general sentiment of 'oh well, this sucks but it doesn't mean the end of the world, our club is still good, we go again', whilst the other feeling is 'there is something seriously wrong with this team, this is a sign of things to come unless there is drastic change.'
Barcelona's recent Champion's League results have been the latter.
To break it down in detail:
The first thing to go wrong was the timing of the match.

@@sabalipeaceandpatience9264 I don’t understand why they always invite they psg fan to come analyze a Barcelona game meanwhile psg is a small club
I know morale-wise, fans have impact, but how these clowns more focus on 30k fans than the game themselves???
Barca wanted to sell the most expensive tickets 😂😂
Finally, it took an Englishman to pronounce “hierarchy” correctly. Listening to Juls and Frank, you would think “the Iraqis” were in charge of every club… 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏻
Made my day!
Frankfurt are too good for Barcelona to handle and Frankfurt are so good at Pressing which makes Barcelona to spin their heads and I Hope Frankfurt win Europa League and it's been long time since Bundesliga team won Europa League and for Barcelona their season is over with no silverware
Stop... not totally true. They just won 'golden boy award' and 'we won at Bernabeu award' 🤣
Well at least Barca will be in UCL next season unlike Man United in the Conference League 😂
Says it all. Has to make himself feel better by comparing his team to united right now 😂

Belize central america I'm from and I'm a Real Madrid fan but i have huge respect for Eintract Frankfurt FC
30,000 out of 100,000 is half and half? Aahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Jules can’t say home advantage isn’t a big deal. A full Camp Nou with 85000 Barca fans and 5000 Eintracht fans would have definitely helped Barca.
LOOOL.....No problem Xavi. You beat Real Madrid 4-0
El classico Champions 2022 Season
@@abubakarsadiq7994 lol not even we won the other 2 games and actually got the supercup out of it
The fact that they had no fans in their own home 💔😩, how disgraceful 💆♂️. The fans support could've helped.
Frankfurt showed Barca how to have real fans no matter how the odds are against them. Their arrogance thinking they could turn this around and not learning from the 1st game proved to everyone that you cannot just win by default!
PL is the best league doesn't matter what anyone says.
your opinion sir lol
@@Myriex6627 It's a fact not opinion it was the most watched league even when Real won 3 consecutive UCL and there are 5 PL clubs in top 10 valuation in world
Yeah it is bro
@@virtuallimit8615 cause they have better marketing reach cause their English , secondly half of the clubs in that list are owned foreign investers , that attracts international attention.
Worst fans, investors, youth work but yes the most money, be proud🤦
Spain sucks as an away fan. They always stick you at the top in the corner.
Also I remember Celtic brining 100,000 fans to Sevilla for the UEFA Cup final. 25% got in the others were outside the stadium.
This guy seriously blames Barca not having more supporters than the Frankfurt because of the holidays and that Barcelona is a touristy place?! We all know that but true fans always show up no matter what the ocassion - Frankfurt proved that! Poor excuse!
Barca is still a run of the mil team, regardless of all the hype they’ve been getting
Frankfurt have the better team. The win always go to those willing to strive for the best despite poorer in possession. Tika Taka doesn’t mean you just move the ball around. There’s no point moving it around if you cannot win. Lol 😂
It would have been so much easier if only having fans made you win games ...then no home team would've ever lost 🤣😂
i said it in the previous video and i will say it here. Frankfurt SIEGE mentality. we have to face it ourselves every year 😭😭😭😭😭
How was the grass Chabi ??
What is this image quality lol
I bet Xavi would have preferred winning and going through even if they played badly 🤔
LOOOOOOOL
Come on... Eintracht trash them at home... which home is for you to decide.
I only watch Barca highlights when they lose. 😁😁😁 enjoys it soo much

Barcelona aka the biggest joke in European football
Laporta needed to cover for the electricity bills so sold as many tickets possible.
They focus so much on a meaningless game they won 4-0, and lose the game that actually matters. Leadership is not making the correct decisions. A complete failure of a season. Total waste of a year. How sad.
Barcelona fans, I'm not going to banter but just pointing out that football is weird because we were going back n forth weeks ago about Xavi and Arteta, only for me right afterwards getting banter for Arteta and Arsenal getting slapped. Now, here we are with Frankfurt eliminating Xavi and Barca. You just never know when it's your turn.
fr. both of our fanbases are crazy at times.
Exactly. Some Barca fans were saying we're the best in the world. And it's strange because we've been "humbled" so many times in European matches
Anyone saw that coming I saw it from the first leg and to be honest I'm just glad we lost in an embarrassing way because our fanbase needed some humbling tbh I hope the Laporta decides to bring A new LB, RB and striker . xavi has a lot of work to do .. and the most embarrassing part is that today Stadium clearly showed Who the real fans were kudos to the fans who stuck with the team during 8-2 bayern and messi departure
Now with PSG & Barcelona out, the Midget Army will wear their fake 5$ Man City Shirts! They have their foot in so many teams 🤣
How can you bench Frenkie Dejong ??
Everybody saw that coming. People need to face it that Barcelona are not a top European team at the moment. I don't doubt that they will bounce back in the future but right now they are not the same team they once were.
Congrats to Frankfurt! Barca's defence is hurting, but they'll bounce back.
Barça need to invest in their defense as much as they have on their offense
NOBODY could have seen this coming... except those who saw the first leg.
😂
'Nobody saw it coming' is just such a misplaced cliche to use for betting. Tons of punters placed bets on Frankfurt because they were overpriced in the betting markets as well as the better side in the opening leg. Really should be thanking shows like these, because they always overhype and tip the big name favorite, which leads to inflated prices for the underdog.
This is football, after all.Anything can happen, look at what happened in the Villareal vs Bayern match.
La liga is reaching its end.......
I did see that coming
Where was ESPN's new Iniesta Pedri? If only his football was as strong as his PR, him and Gavi. The Barca PR machine is insane.
Smh have any shame did you even watch the match ? He already gets injured in first half and due to hamstring injury his season is Also now over you pathetic clown always bark even without doing any research
ESPN: how did madrid make it pass chelsea
ESPN: no body saw this coming Frankfurt beating barcelona
One more time proving they know nothing about football 🤷♂️
